Request “Second Hand Heart” to your radio station!
Danny asked us to tell you all that he loves you, to thank each and every one of you for requesting his music on the radio and for all the support. It’s been making a huge and positive impact!
He’s a phenomenal talent… an amazing soul… a beautiful human being. He deserves all the success! Let’s get him to the top!
Request!
- Directly to Country Radio Stations
- Via Mediabase online form. You can write in “Second Hand Heart” on the space they provide if it’s not on the list.
- Via Radio Programs that are broadcast in several stations
But remember > Radio stations DON’T like to get bombarded by fans, but they DO like to hear from their local listeners and other regular listeners (online, for example). It’s important to call stations in which you’re in the listening area. Apparently, radio stations consider phone calls to be the most influencing type of contact, but some of them also have online capability to make requests, twitter or facebook (you can find out the details about your station by checking out their site).
First of all, ask if you can request a song on that phone number. Some radio stations have a specific phone number for requests or specific hours when they take them. Be nice. When contacting your station, please DO NOT “spam” them. Once a day is much more than enough. We don’t want them to get tired of you.
Also, don’t talk about “spins” and “adds”, those are “industry words” that fans don’t typically use. Just request the song, let them know how much you like it, dedicate it to someone…
And even if airplay on your local station doesn’t count on the charts, keep on requesting ’cause airplay on any country radio is a good thing as more people get to listen to Danny, love his music, buy his CD and go to his shows!!
The spreadsheets on “Request Danny Gokey” are fruit of @JosieInSeattle‘s passion for numbers, statistics and whatnot, as well as her passion for Danny! I can’t thank Josie enough for gathering this information every week. Besides providing data that I wouldn’t, otherwise, have access to, she talks about numbers, ranks, spins, etc. with such enthusiasm that seriously amazes me. Thank you, Josie.
The lists are on .pdf format. You need Acrobat Reader to see them. You can search for your station using the ‘Find’ box or the binocular, zoom in and out using the + and – buttons, save the list to your computer or print it.
