He was interviewed earlier in the day by 95 KSJ country radio station.

This morning, the “Rise Up Country with John Ritter” radio show aired a program with Danny as a guest. They played ‘My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me’, ‘I Still Believe’ and ‘I Will Not Say Goodbye’, with short interview snippets before each song, which were recorded when John went to Nashville, months ago, and sat with Danny for an interview.
Nothing new on the interview but it’s always good to hear Danny’s voice and a pleasure to catch several of his songs on the radio.

Danny Gokey will be among the artists performing at a “Partner in Hope” concert to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital this Tuesday, July 13th.

I have heard a few radio programmers say this about the new Danny Gokey: “I really love it– it’s a great song– but it’s SO sad.” I am not sure if anyone has checked the lists of the greatest songs of all time, any genre, any chart–but most of them are sad– especially Country songs! Life is sad sometimes – okay, most of the time. And these are the kinds of songs that can stop you in your tracks and make you think, maybe even cry. I heard Vince Gill say once that a great Country song has the ability to break your heart. And that’s still true today. People love great songs, whether they are happy or sad. I just saw Danny do this song last week, when he performed during the CRB meetings. He sang the hell out of this, just like he does on the record. So, play it. Impacting now.

Crook and Chase radio countdown to feature new Danny Gokey single this weekend?
One of our regular iheart posters received a communication from staff with the Crook and Chase syndicated country radio countdown program.
They indicated that Danny Gokey’s new single “I Will Not Say Goodbye” may have been selected by the co-hosts to include as a “bound for the countdown” featured bonus song during the last hour of their program this weekend.
If you want to listen in to see, check your local country radio stations to see whether and when they run the Crook and Chase show. Or you can see a list of stations that carry the Crook and Chase show nationally and in Canada here. Many stations stream their programming live if you want to listen in on-line. Crook and Chase also suggests listening via satellite radio if you can’t find their program via your local country stations:
NOW ON XM! If there’s not a radio station in your area that carries The Crook & Chase Countdown, listen on XM Satellite Channel 11, Sundays 9am to 1pm eastern (8am to Noon central).

Danny Gokey has been on the road with Sugarland for a few months now & shares what he considers the best and worst parts of being on the road.
Danny says he’s been on a hectic pace since before March when his My Best Days album was released and that it hasn’t slowed down any with the tour, but he’s okay with that. Danny talks about the best and worst parts about being on tour and it looks like the worst parts really aren’t that bad.
