I wrote the following on my personal blog while watching his audition:

Danny, Jamar’s best friend – oh gosh, i love him.  great look, great story, great voice.  oh, he’s one of my favorites so far.  and i just typed that about 3 notes in to his audition.  glad to hear the judges agree.  just for the record, i cried when he dedicated it to his wife.

And that’s basically how IHeartDannyGokey.com started.  He’s good and I’ve known it since the first time I heard him.  Since meeting Danny, I’ve realized every impression I had of him was spot-on.  He’s mad-talented, down-to-earth and as sweet as they come.  He deserves any and all success that he’s experiencing.

I’m Erika and I’m Brazilian. I’ve never been a fan of American Idol or Country music. In fact, I used to refuse to watch it or listen to it. Indie rock girl…

Danny changed all that. I loved him from audition and decided that I’d stick by his side, wherever he decided to go. And I’m so glad I did. I discovered a whole new world in Country music, I met incredible people going to the US for his shows and I made friends for life since I’ve been on IHeartDannyGokey.com.

Undeniably talented, beautiful inside and out and always willing to go the extra mile for others, Danny is definitely one of the sweetest people I ever met. I’m extremely proud to be his fan and to support him. <3
