Yesterdauy we learned that Danny is part of the performer lineup for the Dove Awards, the Grammys of the Gospel world. He will be joined by other idols, Ruben, Mandisa, Jason. Let the speculation begin

Good Morning everyone. That will be interesting to see what Danny will perform at the Dove Awards show. I like Lady A. It’s great to see their album is so cheap. I heard the really nice guy Jeremy got the boot from American Idol last night. I like when it gets down to the top ten because the real talent starts to show. Well, off to work. Per the Sophia’s Heart email, Danny will squeeze in a run the morning of the Marathon in Nashville to encourage the supporters. AND I believe he will perform in front of Xxx in Washington DC later that day for Joel Osteen? Way to multi task, Danny!
Hi guys I have been MIA but I have been lurking. Loved the picture of Danny with his fur babies. And Ok I have to tell you guys I really liked his hair that way. Paula hope you are feeling better and glad you had a great time in Phoenix with your daughter. I also love the fact that he will perform at the DOVE Awards. I did not know that Jason Castro did christian music. Hope all of are runners are training real hard especially Karen with her herman munster boot. You guys are going to have a wonderful time and it does not suprise me that Danny is going to run. That man has a heck of a lot of energy. Well better get back to work kind of busy with people moving up to our floor and all the moving and cleaning we have been doing. I found some files that went way back to 1994. I wasn’t even doing that job at that time. Karen take care of your foot don’t over do it. Have a great day everyone.

Steph, wow ants already, this weather is messing up everyone. If they are the sweet eating ants (black) Terro is the best stuff ever made to get rid of them. It is a spot treatment and they are usually gone in a week
So where do we lay down odds how far our hearties will get in the mini and major marathon ? Anything to get you over the finish line on the sameday as you start

I read somewhere last year that salt works, I have about a cup of that spread around since last weekend when I first saw a couple of them. It helped some but they seem to be feeling braver today
I also read they don’t like vinegar so tried that. Fortunately I have allergies and can’t smell it – not sure what Lily
thinks about that 
I’ll look into the other product though. The other ideas worked ok last year but this time, I may need to go nuclear on it

I had a place where I had a problem with kitchen ants. I tried several things that didn’t work. I finally bought a can of ant spray from a grocery store. It did work. I used it just a couple of times and had no more ants.

I think the salt idea is similar to what I read about the Perro products. It supposedly makes the ants
so eventually they go 
and shouldn’t come back. The vinegar idea supposedly is that they don’t like the smell or something, so more trying to make them go somewhere else than killing them. I think the vinegar works at least somewhat, but not sure it has a long-term effect like the more aggressive 
ideas. If nothing else, it makes me feel good to spray it at them 
Lurker, I did try ant spray (and the little bait traps) from the grocery last year but it didn’t seem to have a permanent effect to keep them from coming back. I was looking for something I felt more comfortable about using in the kitchen on the counters and on the floor where
might walk around. Last year I had ants both on the floor and on the cabinets and on the counters sometimes. Ugh. 
They did go away after I tried the salt idea. Though what the cleaning team thought of all the salt everywhere 
I’ve never tried one of the methods to try and bait the ants to stay outside, that is probably the best idea. Maybe I will go get some products to give it a shot this weekend

Anyway, my ants were just around the sink. None on the floor. None inside cabinets. I can see that having them on your floor makes them harder to treat while protecting your

I’ve been told that Comet kills ants. I think that is for fire ants outside, to put on their hills.
Speaking of vinegar, I read an online article about uses of vinegar a few weeks ago. The author asked people to post other uses in comments.
Many of the uses I already knew, but one person commented that her father had a wound that wouldn’t heal on his head. She said his doctor told him to put vinegar on it every day. She said it healed.
When I read that, I had a small kind of blister or sore above my lip. Neither blister or sore is the correct word. It didn’t hurt. It didn’t get bigger or smaller. It was just there and had been there for a couple of months. I decided to try the vinegar. I used a Qtip and applied vinegar once or twice a day for three days. The thing completely disappeared.
I already knew vinegar is good for sunburn and cleaning as well as removing household odors. Useful stuff.

So we learned alot about ant eradication last night

Good Morning. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day in Milwaukee!
Unfortunately, on a down note, my FIL is back in ICU at the hospital. He has congestive heart failure and it’s touch and go right now. We are saying a lot of prayers, but are preparing for the worst. I’m glad to see Danny’s foundation has took in another homeless family. Economic times are tough right now. It is wonderful to see people like Danny having the ability to help out when needed. Danip- interesting take regarding country music on the radio. There are some songs I wonder how they make it to radio and are a hit. But, I guess it is what people feel like hearing at the time.

I checked and I don’t get it either. I get a bunch of other religious channels, DSTR, TBN, etc with Gospel music-but not GMC.
Maybe MJ will post it since other Idols are on it besides Danny
I had to look but my cable company does have GMC. Actually two channels of it since there is a separate one with HD.
The GMC site also says it’s on DirectTV, DishNetwork, Verizon, and other channels. You can look it up here

Well, I can assure ALL of you I don’t get GMC since I don’t even have cable. I’m lucky to have a wireless hotspot for my internet. Until Danny’s season of Idol, we only had dial up internet

I had a weird experience yesterday. I had a job interview yesterday as a surgicenter nurse, and after we had answered an exam, they showed us a documentary about Addiction to Cosmetic Surgery but in the middle of it, as the client in the docu going to the doctor’s clinic. in the road, I don’t know if it is true but I think I saw the name of Danny Gokey in a billboard, I am not sure because it was a far shot.
I just want to share.

Good Morning everyone. Thanks so much for all the support for my FIL. His status is still up in the air. We receive a little good news, then receive a little bad news. He’s a fighter, but there is not much more the doctors can do at this point. My husband is holding up ok. It has been going back and forth to the hospital all day. I’m more worried about my MIL, because she is frail and not sleeping much. My husband’s parents have been married over 60 years, which is unbelievable!

Hey there ihearties! I’m sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. I think I mentioned that I was going out of town for work and it was just a very hectic week and I am glad to be home.
Paula, it is very touching to think about your FIL and MIL, together for over 60 years. I know it must be so difficult but they must be so grateful to have you and your husband close by to be there for them. I hope your FIL shows good progress in getting better this week.
I saw the post about Ellen’s recaps, I really enjoy her writing. Great sense of humor and enthusiasm about Danny which is so nice to share.
That’s cool that Danny is going to be performing on the Dove awards. I will look forward to that and hope that some additional appearances pop up soon. I think my work (knock on wood) should be less nuts pretty soon and I need to plan a road trip.
