Happy day after Valentines day
To followup on some of the converation from last night…
Country awards shows have become all about the ratings moreso in the case of the ACM’s. I think this is why we see the nominations of basically the same people year after year. They shows believe that people will root for names they know rather that the best that is out there.

Good Morning. Well, one day closer to the weekend. I had a nice quiet dinner with my husband last night. I did manage to sneak some chocolate in, which complimented dinner rather nicely. Danip- I agree about the ACM’s. I do believe it is about ratings also. The country awards are a business like anything else, to make money and get viewership. So, it seems the same people are always on. I will have to listen to Hunter Hayes. I will admit I don’t know anything about him. Running late, have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone. Hope all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I was nice to my pups and took them for a walk, called my kids and ate chocolate. And now I feel like yuck. To much chocolate.
Hunter Hayes my neice really likes him. She made my brother take her to the GOO to see him.
I to feel that it is all about the ratings for the ACM’s.
Ok now for Danny saying ” wifey”. What a goof and I bet it is a word of endearment for Leyicet. Did not bother me at all. I think it was cute. The man is in LOVE and he is very HAPPY.
Well better get to work I was just told that the job that I assigned to one of my team members to do today she can not do, so I get to do it. There goes the plan I had for today.

Beautiful summer day today enjoying most of it outside until dark anyhow. This is something that I saw that was interesting about how much money artists don’t make from record sales, it’s about Whitney houston. It mentions on how you can sell millions but owe the record company money. That the promotional costs come from the artists share. I know Danny had have quite alot with a private jet even if Sony did pay for it.

Hello, hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day yesterday. I see that Mr. Bing was here today, and that reminds me that I was in China for Valentine’s Day a few years ago. I remember I bought some chocolate for a young woman there who had been very helpful to me. I wonder if chocolate is as popular in China as it is here. I think if we asked Lulu, her answer for herself would be yes.
I saw that Danny tweeted that they had a nice V Day dinner. It did look very good.
I wonder how our cruisers who got sick are doing. Steph and Milgokey, are you feeling better? If there was anyone else who got sick I don’t mean to leave you out, but I might have missed some posts.

I am glad to hear that you’re feeling better. I remember feeling very pitiful last year when I got sick after the cruise, so I don’t mind any complaints from anyone else!
I can’t think of anyone I am really rooting for on AI yet. I like that little African American kid who is a “ladies man”. The guy who is being compared to Danny seems like a nice guy, The girl who was on AI before seemed pretty good. Bailey? Baylee? There’s the good looking guy who has a good voice that came across a little cocky last week (uh oh). And the girl who has the boyfriend who had a stroke is a good singer. I think that’s everyone I remember.

I generally wait until they get past Hollywood— Danny’s year is the exception and the Milw episode of S10

I watched AI last night and while the groups were very rough, some of the solo performances were interesting.
Adam Brock closed out the solo portion and I saw a lot of comparisons to Danny, he even had a towel

Good Morning. I have to confess I haven’t watched any of AI11 either. I agree with Jan that I will wait til there’s only about 10 people left. I did finally look up Hunter Hayes. Wow, he is a very talented young man. It will be interesting to see if he or Scotty McCreery will get new artist of the year. The weather is still mild for Milwaukee this time of year. The weather god must be smiling down on us.

Ah, Steph asked me question — whether anyone is watching AI.
A poster at a certain reality show blog said this:
“Adam Brock is good but he can’t hold a candle to Matt G or even Danny Gokey who he’s been compared to on some occasions.”
“Even” Danny Gokey? C’mon! Adam B. doesn’t hold a candle to Danny. He has a good voice doesn’t know what to do with it. IMHO.
I liked the African-American guy from Louisiana, but not sure of his name. Joshua Ledet? The girl Jen was pretty good, too, but a bit of a showboater and shouty at times. But to me, these two folks really “felt” the music, while others were technically good but I didn’t get the same sense that they were one with the music. That one group — I think they were second up? — was really awesome.
I really like Danny’s line of glasses.
I’m excited to hear he is finally recording some new music! 
I see Danny is gearing up for next week’s concert in his home state. I wish I could have attended the concert, But, I know a lot of ihearties will be there. I’m glad a poster said Adam B. can’t hold a candle to Danny. It’s good to know that his name is still being mentioned regarding idol. I think he really made a big impact on the show.

I missed Adam Brock, but I’m jelling in front of the tube and watching Idol, now.
Good news from Danny today. His eyewear line and in the studio. I really do hope he picks up a contract for distribution of his music, but….. Danny makes the decisions. We just hope for the best. I am happy to hear new music is on it’s way.

Sue, yes, Danny did say on the cruise that he would be doing the Joel Osteen event. We haven’t formally posted it here yet though.
I believe Danny said he would be speaking and singing “a song” at the 4/28 event.

On AI tonight Adam Brock even adopted the DG style of dress, with the colored tshirt and vest combo, heavy framed glasses. maybe they are setting up for an on screen meet
Of the ones we have seen I think I will like Reed the most. He reminds me of a young Harry Connick Jr

The only resemblance I see between Adam Brock and Danny Gokey is that they both wear glasses. Like Adam a bit better tonight than last night. And like Jen a whole lot less tonight than last night. Sometimes less is more. And not every song can withstand showboating. Get a clue, people. I know they are trying to impress the judges with their vocals, but they need to allow the song to make an impact, too. One exception (re songs that can or can’t withstand showboating) is “Georgia On My Mind.” That song tends to sound good no matter how it is tortured.
