It will be a cold weekend in Milwaukee. I will be doing some hybernating if that is the case. Danip- I have not been watching idol at all. I usually don’t watch the early rounds. I will have to check it out if there is someone that sounds like Danny performing. Kudos to all who are training for the half marathon. I do go to the gym often, but am not a runner. Danip, yes! Adam Brock, I watched him on AI last night. There are similarities, he sounds like Danny, soulful voice. He is also great! But there is only one Danny Gokey! Haha

Sorry if I started something about the recap book. I now remember this from last year and if I remember right it was only available to the ones who did recaps. I also think legal stuff was brought up then too. No problem. It is always wonderful to read recaps of other ihearts.
Now back to Idol. You know on Wednesday when I saw Adam Brock I thought he does remind me of Danny. but we all know there is only one Danny. Well got to get back to work. Have a great day everyone.

I believe this video has received some good attention. I think the attention spread in this way. Danny posted a link in a tweet. Taste of Country posted the link with a mention of Danny’s tweet. They posted the video with some positive words. The Boot picked it up (maybe from Taste of Country). Other country sites and country radio stations retweeted those links. Some of the stations added sweet thoughts. It was fun following as the video link spread.
I don’t believe there was ever any mention of the video at MJ’s. That’s okay. Danny is being noticed and mentioned by country music sites which to me is more impressive.
Last time I looked, the video on youtube had almost 19,000 views, 82 likes, 0 dislikes, and 15 comments.

Although I can’t say I was that fond of the very brief footage I saw of Adam B last night. I thought he had more the look of Danny than the sound or style of music choices.

Postponed trip up North to move Joe out of the dorms- the weather is bad here; white out conditions and snow covered roads
So leaving tomorrow am; he needs to be out by 6pm- will drive back right away after because daughter works. I shouldn’t complain; I suppose he could study out of state 
I am making hubbie take me to a movie since I have make up and clothes other than sweat pants on (was all ready for the trip!).

I haven’t heard that many people got sick after this year’s cruise (although I don’t really know). Last year it seemed like a lot of people got sick, either on the cruise or traveling home afterwards.
That was a weighted
average. One day was only a couple of hours and not too bad, maybe only one or a partial 
But the 1/2-day on Monday in humid Miami / Ft Lauderdale was worth many many many more
I’m hoping there is no photographic evidence
Maybe Danny needs a different form of transportation for his charity event. Perhaps a road trip? A caravan of buses with roadside picnics along the way and motel stops at night. Fans who travel in the bus with Danny pay the most. Fans in the rest of the caravan pay less, but still get to see Danny at the picnics and at scheduled stops. Two days of traveling to get to a city or town (with an overnight stop), one day and night at the chosen destination, and two days and one night to return.
Or perhaps a plane trip with all fans on the plane with Danny. Less traveling time, more time at destination.
If a fan lived at the place that is the destination, the fan could fly (or drive) to the meeting place for the trip to start.
Destination could be little town or big city.
Maybe US or Canada?
Another idea for charity event: a Danny fan convention. All fans go to a site chosen by Danny (a luxury hotel (?)). The fans travel on their own, but when they get to the convention, they have three days of scheduled events with Danny (concerts, dinners).
Or perhaps combine the charity event with the SH volunteer appreciation event. Danny might be able to use his building for concerts and parties.

Steph sorry you were sick after the trip..there was news that a virus was showing up on the ships. I was hoping that it was not affecting the SHF cruise…guess not.
As for Adam Brock, while not Danny per se, it was more of a first impression.His voice is not as versatile has that same tone and characteristic.
Hey considering how bad this season has been so far you look for any entertainment you can get.

I will say he is getting a promo package that is like none before.
Someone told me about the virus. Thankfully I haven’t heard of anyone getting that particular disease on our cruise. Just versions of a cold in varying severity. Mine hasn’t been too bad, as those things go. Just tiring, especially with back to work and a week of things piled up

Dani, I am watching AI Season 11 but am not too impressed so far. Seems more like a repeat of Season 9 than Season 10. Most of the singers I’ve been interested in have already been cut. There are some good voices, but most contestants are oversinging. I don’t want to be “dazzled” by someone’s vocal prowess, I want to hear the SONG sung well, so that it sounds like a song I would go out and buy. The voice has to impress, but it can’t overshadow the song. I’m looking for someone like Danny and his Grapevine. Even Scotty’s audition, although very derivative of Josh Turner, wasn’t bad. I could hear both the voice and the song. But the judging panel seems to be rewarding oversinging.

I just watched Adam Brock’s “walking in Memphis” I know that song by Marc Cohn. Love it. Adam’s version is way over sang. I wouldn’t have recognized it. As other’s have said, not that interesting.

I’d be interested in watching The Voice to see Jamar perform, but since the conversion from analog to digital TV, I can no longer get NBC (and I refuse to pay for cable in order to watch the “free” stations).

Good morning all, Steph hoping you feel better soon. I agree with Danip. Just pretend like you paid a lot of money for it. Kathy I also hope to go on the cruise. Thought this was the year and tried two times to go. Didn’t work out, which was good as it turned out that Mom was diagnosed with Breast cancer and I wouldn’t have been able to go anyway. She had to cancel a cruise herself when she found out. Prognosis really good. So maybe next year…..Loved the video’s of the concert and love when Matt and Danny sing together. Loved Dream on. Good Morning. It was nice to see Danny at the American Heart Assoc.last night. It sounds like it went well. So sad to hear about Whitney Houston. I grew up with her music. Another icon lost too early in her life. I will probably watch some of the Grammys tonight. It is cold here in Milwaukee today, but not as bad as yesterday.

Hi there everyone, I was kind of a zombie yesterday, trying to recover from a very tough work week. I went over and spent a few hours today playing with my little buddy and that was a perfect way to spend a Sunday.
I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Whitney Houston. She was just so incredibly talented. I wish that she had been able to find more peace in life, but the struggle is over now and I hope her daughter and mother will be able to get through this loss with support from their family and friends.
I don’t know if I will watch the Grammys tonight, probably not, I don’t usually watch those shows. I heard that Jennifer Hudson is doing a tribute to Whitney. That would be hard, I hope she will be ok and get through it.

Evening. Watching a little of the Grammys tonight. Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson just performed. I absolutely love that song. I have always loved Kelly Clarkson. It was sad to hear that Whitney Houston’s daughter had to be hospitalized for awhile today because she is so distraught over her mother’s passing. I believe she has a strong support group, which will help her.

When I saw him before the cruise, I told him how we wanted to see him dress up for formal night. He said he was taking so much to Florida he would rather pack light for the cruise
