Wedding bells will ring for Danny Gokey and girlfriend Leyicet Peralta on Jan. 29, they announced Tuesday, and now come exclusive details on the engagement ring and the proposal itself.
“Danny originally chose a ring that was too big for Leyicet’s finger,” says the rep for the country singer andAmerican Idol season-8 finalist, “so they went on a hunt for a new one together.”

Remember Lulu’s interview where Danny reported one of his romantic efforts was taking his girlfriend to the ballet? We knew he would propose in a big/romantic way…. The clues have been there. It is a very nice story for them to tell.
I had a feeling when I heard that there wedding was going to be late January a thought occured to me they might have it around my birthday. One day before my 31st birthday!

It is fun to read the details about their engagement. I am not surprised that Danny did it in a big way either. The ring is lovely. Leyicet sounds like a wonderful person with a big heart, just like Danny. Maybe we’ll hear some details about their wedding. They must be very busy planning now.

I too remember the remark about the ballet. but I thought it was an interview done in Florida but I could be wrong. Yes the ring is beautiful and Danny sure can be romantic.
