Ivan had tweeted about being excited to play tonight after being off so long, so I checked if the other band members were tweeting too and I noticed that Mike (Danny’s drummer and tour manager) had just added Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts member….and they are at the same venue tonight as Danny) to his list of (very few) people he follows. Wishful thinking here that there is meaning in that

Words from MJ’s that irritate me: sads and cred. Sad doesn’t bother me. Credibility doesn’t bother me. But making sad longer and credibility shorter (to show how cool the person writing is) bugs me.
It’s the way they use them.
It also bothers me when someone writes about how worried they are about an Idol…”fake worry.” They use that as a way to put someone down.
It’s going to be so much fun watching Danny continue being successful. I want to irritate those people who irritate me.
If I could I would buy 70,000 copies of Danny’s next album. I want him to beat his first album sales. They (the posters I don’t like say it can’t be done).

Many posters there make fun of or ridicule people they don’t like. Today someone was writing about “feeling sorry” for Danny because he probably would not get a good reception at his venue tonight. The “feeling sorry” for someone is another thing they do to try to make it appear someone is not doing well.
Danny is proving them wrong.

That person who posted the comment at mj’s does not follow country music at all, and probably not Danny. I think all three of the people she named as “maybe” are fine for now. Crystal is too soon to say as far as sales, whether she gets any serious radio play, etc plus the wild card that she claims she wants to move to Nashville. And Kris, has had some successes although his last two singles not so much, and his album sales weren’t that strong most of last year.

Was sorry to hear David Archuleta is no longer with Jive though, he does have a very good voice; has grown on me after S7 which usually doesn’t happen. Didn’t read the latest to know if he is still with 19R? Wonder if he would fit somewhere under Universal that has the partnership with 19 for AI10.

I loved David A’s Christmas album. I hadn’t bought his debut or the recent ones. But the guy can really sing Christmas music. Very pretty voice. And the album had atypical songs, one in French, one in Spanish. I played those the most. I wish David A. much success.
I hope we get word from Toni about:
1. The size and make up of the crowd
2. Crowd reaction
3. Whether Danny had a merchandise/autograph session after the concert
4. How long was the concert
5. Any new songs????
6. Any news told during the concert (between songs.)
7. Whatever else I’m forgetting.

Danny also talked about doing a duet with someone. We don’t know yet who that may be. Country duet albums are coming out for Lionel Richie, Randy Travis, and Brad Paisley. I hope Danny gets to do a duet with Lionel Richie. (It’s okay with me if he duets with the others too.

Sometimes I can’t spell. I type something and look at what I have typed, and it is a bunch of gibberish. It’s as though my fingers get started without my mind tagging along.
I’ve taught myself how to spell some words I’ve had trouble with. Believe has lie in the middle of it. I ask myself ‘Would you believe a lie?’
I used to get the e and i wrong in their; then I realized that their is the possessive form of they. So I start they (the the) and finish with ir. Similar and familiar also were difficult, so with familiar I started thinking family liar. Banana is easy–except for knowing when to stop.
My previous post, though, had none of those words. The mistakes I had in it–before proofreading–were many, too many to list. When I tried to reread it, it made no sense. I redid it, but it was so bad, it reminded me of when I was looking for scissors in my refrigerator. One of my ‘what was I thinking’ moments.
Yeah!! I love your videos Steph!! I think you should have plenty of media from these two shows this weekend to make a great Danny thread at MJ’s! I’m NOT just saying that so the poster that “felt sorry” for Danny playing at the Mohegan Sun venue is proven wrong either

Steph, that reminds me of Sheboygan. Ed and I drove into downtown Sheboygan and approached the theater for Danny’s show from the back parking lot side. What was in the lot? Danny’s bus. Of course my heart always jumps a little bit when we get an expected sight like that. Ed and I agreed that we needed to not park yet –it seemed too stalkerish. We headed to the Lakefront. And came back at a more respectable time.
Asics, thanks for bringing in the news. I really think Danny’s signing after a concert has cemented his relationship with his fans. Once you get to see him up close, he looks you in the eyes and thanks you for your support, how can you not want to see again and wish him great success? Especially after a great concert experience? New fans always seem blown away. I see/hear a lot of “wows”!

good to see the tweets coming out from tonight. I disregard the worriers as they really aren’t.
Since you all asked, I will give you a little taste of life with the horses of P.
First episode : “On the road again”
Our first property that we kept the horses at home sat on a State Hwy, and it was a warm summer night . Because the night was cooler the horses were turned out at night in the pasture. On this particular night final check was done about 10:30 and all was fine and off to bed we went. Some hours later we hear a banging on the door and being leery I bring the dog with me to the door and peer out. I see a shadow and then a man’s voice asking “Do you own horses? ” I’m thinking okay guys drunk , but answer him yes. He responds “well there are two horses trotting up an down the hwy”. Ok I can’t repeat the words I used but Shoot and Darn aren’t quite them , I am in my pajamas with no shoes, but I take off out of the door . It is pitch black out there (State decided to save money) but you could hear this Clip Clop Clip Clop Clip Clop moving up and down the blacktop and then you could see this ghostly shadow emerge in the headlights of the visitors truck. The big grey gelding was leading the way like a knight’s steed less a rider with the palomino gelding riding his tail out of the darkness. When he saw the lights, he turned and nickered as if to say “ Bout time” they followed the driveway back to the gate and into the pasture and went back to eating grass like it was another day. Guy turns to me and say “guess they got lost” climbed back into his truck and left. To this day I still don’t know who he was but I did say hello to my first gray hair and many more joined them along with double chains on the gate .
Btw no blacktop was harmed in the making of this story

I was reading then but not posting. There was one poster who was almost always at the top. She used to beg for her name not to show because she didn’t want her husband to see how much she was online. People might have thought she was joking. I think she might have been serious.
(She doesn’t post here now. That was a long time ago.)
I would not post much if a list was still showing. It’s sort of like a list of who ate the most donuts or something. Not one I want to be at the top.

I was in In and Out Burger tonight picking up some food for my sick daughter when all-of-a-sudden this lady came and sat by me waiting for her order. We struck up a conversation and wouldn’t you know it, she was from Wisconson and she just moved here to the Phoenix area 4 months ago. Well, all I needed to hear was the word “Wisconson” and what do you think my mind went to….that’s right, cheese!! No just kidding, I told her my favorite American Idol of all time came from Wisconson. She said “who?” I said Danny Gokey! She remembered then and asked if he was the one whose wife died of cancer, of course I told her it was heart problems (I don’t know the exact ailment). I proceeded to tell her that if she ever, ever , ever gets a chance to see him in concert go!! She said that was good to know.
I felt so good, like…I did my Gokey duty for the day
