Please can somebody clarify this to me? Did I read it right that Danny’s Dad eat first before the rest of the family can? And sometimes their Dad don’t leave anything on the plate? Maybe somebody did not get the info right?
This is not the norm in the US, right? We filipino parents give up on many things so that our children can have what we never had.

Ana, no, that most definitely is NOT the norm in the U.S. I’ve never heard of such a thing! But maybe that explains why his parents are divorced!
Thanks Ellen for the answer. I was thinking the same thing. If this were true, definitely Danny was not affected by this (except maybe his love for food. lol) because he is now a generous and giving person.
