I just rewatched the video and it is a definite snatch and grab. I am going to give that person the benefit of the doubt and say she got caught up in the moment. Being in the front row and having Danny inches from your hands requires a lot of restraint. Lord knows I thought about it several times.

I have a question about that last picture on the homepage. Is that a beer that someone is holding in front of Danny? It looks as if someone was offering him a beer. I hope not. Maybe they were just sitting their bottle down on the table.

Glad see the adds will this count toward the official adds. Here seems to be around 20 stations playing the song so that should translate to 20 official adds? When MBD debuted it had the 2nd highest number of adds at around 19. Do my question is, this time around is better right? Head spinning with all these stats and trends.

Pretty sure any adds that occur after the cutoff from last week’s reporting cycle (sometime late last Monday) count toward this week’s total. There were sometimes adds for MBD that happened early like this.
I didn’t remember how many adds MBD first got, I thought it was more like 15. So Danny needs to get 20 to beat what he did before? Not that it’s a contest, but still.
I don’t recall seeing a lot of adds early in the week MBD came out, but maybe we just weren’t as aware how to look for them back then. Do believe it is a different action though for a station to do a formal “add” vs. just playing his song. They can play it up to some number of times without adding it; after it reaches a certain number of spins (8?), there may be an “auto-add.”

Not sure I understand your question, but all the adds we are seeing are the official adds. They come in from Thursday until Monday but the list I and Lizzy post at the top of the page are just the stations that played the song in the last 7 days. They have not all added yet but fingers crossed.
And yes this is looking good for Monday as only 13% have reported.

I am glad that Danny has gotten two more adds today, so far. I remember him getting adds on Sundays before with MBD. And before MBD officially went for adds, I do believe he got a few adds before the actual add date, but not as much as he has gotten with IWNSGB.
His album is #45 on the country albums chart on Itunes right now. But earlier today it was #38 on the country albums chart on Itunes and it was going up on Amazon.

Steph you were posting at the same time as I was, but I believe the auto-add only kicks in when a song is play I think 8 times in a seven day period. So a station could avoid that by staggering the play although there is no benefit to that but may be what Texas did with MBD.

I had saw on mjs that Amazon is selling some of the Idols CDs at $5, including idols like David Cook’s, Jordin’s and Kris’s CD for that price. As far as I know Danny and Adam’s CD’s are not available for that price. There are some country artists like Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan who also have CD’s on Amazon that are available for sale $5.

. It is cloudy and kind of rainy today in Milwaukee. It sounds like colordado is nice for Danny. It is great to see the continual adds for IWNSG. I think his video will really help his sales also. Welcome back Pam. Nice to see you finally made it home safe and sound. Hope you had a nice time in Mexico. I was there a few years ago with my husband and had a great time. Although, I did contract a bad case of food poisoning. Welcome Debbie. As the date of Summerfest gets closer, I would like to know who will be going from here. I hope to get there by noon. Oh, I believe that Sunday is free all day and night, due to it being the last day. It usually is every year.
I really love those new glasses that Danny is wearing. Also, it’s a nice look with the light blue t-shirt, a change from the plaid that he has been wearing. Overall, what a handsome guy he is!

There are lots of people going to Summerfest, not sure all of them want their names listed here, but just look for the people sitting on benches at the front of the stage for hours and you will see us! Erika looks Brazilian so you may recognize us by association

In response to your questions VickieCarol and Ellen, yes you do have to have a Facebook account to vote for SHF. That is the only way you are allowed to vote….believe me if there was another way to vote I would have posted the link on behalf of SHF!
Just got back from the ER with my grand-daughter. I actually posted my question earlier from the waiting room. Reading this site kept my mind off my worries after she went back to see the doctors. She is OK – fever from a virus – Fever of unknown origin. Thank you all for keeping my mind occupied when I couldn’t do anything. Just another benefit of being on Iheart.

Steph, I spent 3 nights in a nice A-frame cabin near a small lake and I haven’t had this much sleep in a week’s time! So I can relate to the need to get some naps/rest. It was very relaxing.

I hated the fact that you had to go through Facebook and it wasn’t easy even then, but this seeems to be the coming thing. Solution a fake acct, yes it does like back to my catch all email but so what none of my real info is there, although since family members/friends keep bugging me I will probably have to create a real one someday.

I noticed that SHF has more than 6000 friends/fans on its FB page, if just a few percent of them would vote seems it would be a big help. I posted the link to the ihrt FB page and to the “Wall” for Danny’s page, though it would get a lot more attention if they posted it thru his official account.
Maybe someone could post it at DGO also if it’s not there yet.

They have posted about it, and put a tab on their page that takes you to the voting info.
The problem with just tweeting about the contest for SHF is that not everyone is on twitter, and even those who are don’t always read the tweets. There has to be a better way to reach Facebook folks.

Claudia, once you are on the Chase giving page, enter Sophia’s Heart, and choose the one that says Hermitage TN.
Then there should be a link to vote for it. I forget as I also found that page a little confusing. Believe I had to either Like the Chase page or provide some other basic into. It was easy once I got thru it, but wasn’t as obvious as I was expecting.

For Jen or anyone else lurking who has ties to SHF, I see that the 200th charity now is around 280 votes, while SHF is at 140. So doesn’t take a huge number more people to move higher.
Wondering if maybe changing the SHF posts to be more specific would create a greater call to action among those who are linked to the SHF page. Like giving a specific number of votes to make up the difference vs a generic call, or setting a target to reach 500 or 1000 votes by the end of the contest.
If people realize that a relatively small number of votes can help, they may feel more inclined to spend the time to enter their vote than if they perceive that thousands and thousands of votes will have to come through, and their one vote won’t be that important.
Getting Danny to tweet it or having it on his official FB, Myspace, DGO of course though, seems like the highest impact thing.

It’s great to see Danny excited on his twitter about tomorrow
. I think he is secretly hoping this will be his breakout song also. I know tomorrow our local station will be playing Danny’s song. It’s good his home state is supporting him. What a beautiful venue for tonight’s concert. I know Danny will win over a few new fans. I would hope Danny would get at least 12 new adds tomorrow, since his song will be available to the radio stations. I saw a Dateline program about 9 soldiers who were killed 2 years ago on a mission and the parents were really still grieving. I couldn’t help but think hopefully they will be able to hear Danny’s song for some comfort.

But, it seems they won`t let anyone outside of the USA purchase ANYTHING from their site-in fact, won`t even show pictures of the merchandise-If that`s the case, I wonder why they let anyone from a different country join DGO at all?? I`ve been so busy promoting the new single, I haven`t even given it a thought as to IF it`s even available here, whether on Amazon or whatever-I think I`d better check that out-we promise to `gift` it, you see-and I don`t see why the rest of the world should miss out hearing such a beautiful song, do you?

HI! I guess we all have the same type of reaction to the Chase Giving voting. What about Lulu Gokey and Mr. Bing maybe they can share it on their site, there are lots of fans in China.
Steph: In response to your post at 5:06 regarding the Chase Charity For Giving contest. I agree that trying to vote is cumbersome. Since I am not a Facebook user, I found it to be even more awkward.
We are waiting to update the page to make it look more official then it is our hope to have Danny help promote it. The contest was brought to our attention late, and we didn’t realize all of the information need to update the page (including detailed financial statements).
I agree we should find a way to post the link to directly vote, but either way you have to have a Facebook account to vote and the time is short for voting and we have a lot of ground to make up. Tell your friends!

Hi, back again! Well, it appears there`s no single release here-so it will involve gifting the track from the album-no worries- Also came across Bob Harris, who has been around FOREVER LOL! He has some programmes on a nationwide radio station-and he is `THE` Country music expert- I just saw he`s had Brad Paisley on his show, Brad has been over in London for 2 days to do a few concerts- I`ve already sent both Bob, and the radio station controller, postcards-but, I decided to send a message to him- You don`t get much space, but I just brought Danny`s name to his attention, that he was a new contry artist, his record label and thenew single, with release date- He does have new artists on his show- and he may just be curious enough to look into Danny`s career This guy, Bob, is much revered here-but I take my opportunities when I can-it`s his choice-At least Danny`s name is becoming known-that`s a start!

And I do have a Facebook Account, just have never used it (signed up to keep tabs on my kids, but she deleted her account rather than have me look over her shoulder, which is fine by me! Hello…Don’t think very many are on here right now, but I was doing my daily reading of the posts today and wanted to answer a question. If the question about the beer was on the last photo that was posted of mine at the Glass Cactus signing…it was NOT Danny’s beer. The girl who was talking with him had it with her and was sitting it on the table. Danny had a bottle of water with him…it was on the other side. I’ve been to several of his shows and have never seen him drink anything except water.

Thanks for the awesome pictures. I was the one who posted that comment this morning. I asked if someone was offering Danny a beer or if they were just sitting their beer on the table. I know Danny doesn’t drink so it was never a question of, Is it Danny’s. So NO WORRIES, we know Danny pretty well. Well, not personally, but you know what I mean.

Yes, I do know what you mean. I just did not want that picture to mislead anyone. He may drink a beer and that would not be a crime either, but I have never seen him with one. Many of my pictures show that bottle though, and someone on my Facebook page asked about another of them. You are welcome for the pictures too…I never mind sharing.
