Morning anyone who’s here.
Got all excited seeing Danny going to Delaware. But oops, Delaware County somewhere in NY State.
.
Found this interesting – PYT?
Greg_Hagan:
Learnin’ tunes and working on vocals. Keeping up with @dannygokey and @bfraley requires lots of work. Amazing singers.

(with a Bieber tweet in between, no idea what that was)
Wow the Uber gorgeous picture of Danny! WOW! all the wonderful things happening to sweet Danny!! it was so cute he tweeted Dannygokeybabies!!!! another Wow for guest starring with Lady A in a concert!!!!!! August 21st!! I believe the Wisconsin Vision commercials and ads will increase Danny’s visibility in Milwaukee and possibly beyond!!
I am so happy Danny’s management team placed Danny with some real heavy weights in Country!! both sugarland and Lady A have crossover appeal; therefore, they are going to attract those types of fans to this whirlwind tour!! Danny will be solidified with the Country base; as well as, Danny will be exposed to a more broader audience during this tour!! Danny is going to Wow the younger and more diverse generation with his unique soulful vocals!! we anticipate ups and downs, flucuations in his career because that is the nature of the beast in the entertainment industry but he is being positioned for a solid career in the music industry!! OOh I love Danny’s version of PANTS ON THE GROUND!! awesome!! Hennele, Julie, Claudia and others, I hope you all have a wonderful day!!
oops Hannele!!!

Good morning Steph, Latrece and everyone else!

Danny singing Pants on The Ground… too cute! It was funny the fact of Danny tweeted #dannygokeybabies last night lol i wish he had commented that

This is interesting in that article about Danny appearing in Walton NY. They booked Lady A last year before they got red-hot, and Luke Bryan was the original supporting act but couldn’t make it. (No corn song in Walton)
Originally a different country artist, Luke Bryan, was slated to open the show, but he and his wife are expecting a baby in August, so Hodges said he had to begin a new search for an opening act.
“Lady A threw me the offer of Danny Gokey,” Hodges said. “And we got him for an amazingly low amount because of their help.”
Interesting that the fair planner says that Lady A offered him Danny. Wonder if that means they are working together more than we’ve heard so far. Not sure what I think of the bargain discount though, but maybe Danny & RCA figure all of these appearances are good investments to build for the future even if they don’t reap a lot of short-term cash.
Hi everyone.
Steph I think that’s interesting and cool that Lady Antebellum bought up Danny as a replacement. And it does makes me smile, when the guy who’s set the concert up said they got Danny at “an amazingly low” price.
I think that it’s cool that Lady Antebellum like Danny enough to suggest him to be apart of their concert. They could have suggested someone else, but I am glad they suggested Danny.
Hey all!! Mad busy today at work- just popped on and saw the posts!

I agree with Latrece re Danny and his PR/management team. They are doing what is best for him and the Lady A gig is HUGE!!!
What a chance to show off his incredible talent to that audience -watch his cd sales rocket!!!!!!!!!
I have yet to hear the ‘Pants on the Ground’ by Danny so when I am home tonight, I will have a listen – can’t wait
Take care all and keep positive!! It makes for a much better life….
Peace!

For those that have I think it’s a good idea if anyone hasn’t to thank Crystal for her joke, because it helped him and I don’t think the fans found it offensive. It’s probably the anti gay people who had issues with it. Just like when idol showed his photo during Hollywood week, that reminded people of him. Crystal should hear from the fans, that it was ok and they were happy with it.
Twitter: jevjos
Lady A and Keith Urban are big supporters of idol which is probably why Kris/Danny got some of the openers. I would love to see them both guest star. These guys are both behind Danny/Kris. I’m not sure if idol has had too many groups though.
Yes! Awesome news for Danny opening for Lady A in NY! Too bad for me, it isn’t in Delaware. I got so excited too Steph
.
Just fantastic that Danny is so respected, that he is now being promoted by the ‘big’ names in country. What a great show that will be!
So happy for him!
Shout out to G-G.
Saw your post from last night, and wanted to say, I feel your pain.
I am also concerned about the lack of Danny buzz. There has been a noted change in the traffic here (at least on the blog), and also over at DGO (with less than 50 people being logged on at a time).
People’s attention spans are too short. They need constant stimulation, to become invested as a fan.
I am not saying Mission Mgmt. isn’t doing a great job. I am just saying that the more exposure the better.
From what I can see, things are coming together nicely for Danny. I only hope that they can keep the momentum going.
Toni, Woohoo for you!

Morning evryone.
I am so happy Danny sells around 1ok for another week. And seems like he gets some needed rest these two days. It’s all good for him.
Twitter: BLfolsom
Just posted on the other page about the news regarding the Lady A date; that’s huge!!
I think I read somewhere that Lady A and Danny have gotten to know each other (via It’s Only tune) and they have a mutual respect and friendship. It doesn’t suprise me that they would recommend Danny to open for them.
Twitter: mrbingfordannyg
Also for the lackness of exposure.I am with GG and Maryann and a little nervous for his sales for the whole week. And the tension is eased a little bit when the billboard number comes out.I am okay with the situation if he can sell around 10k copies for few more weeks.I mean it’s definitely great if he gets more exposure. But I will be okay with it if things work out in different way.
Twitter: Upsnodowns
Hey everyone: Long time no post! I just had to stop in to say how much I love the photo on today’s discussion page! Also, Danny and Lady Antebellum performing at the same venue is such wonderful news. I am so happy for both Danny and Lady A. They will gain fans by doing a show together. I just know the Lady A fans are going to love Danny!
I adore dannygokeybabies! Love that Danny finds it amuzing. I have to wonder if he was watching when she said it and how it must have felt when he heard his name. I know when I heard Crystal say dannygokeybabies my ears perked up and I started squeeling with delight!!! So cute. Of course I love Andrew and Lee and I do think the two of them combined make for a very cute dannygokeybaby!
I have been super swamped at work, because of tax time. but I have been lurking and have been on twitter some too. It has been relatively quiet on the Danny front and do wish Danny had some national exposure, but maybe in due time. In the mean time, he has to just continue to work hard everyday and good things will come.
Hi! I’m so happy that Danny has sold close to 10 000 albums last week. I do think that is a good number and if he can keep up with these kind of figures with hardly any promotion I’m very happy with that! It’s also good to know that Danny has friends amongst the big country stars. Lady Antebellum’s road to stardom has been fairly fast, but I remember reading somewhere that before Lady Antebellum each of the group’s members were having tough times building their careers. I think that Charles Kelley was even considering of leaving his singing career behind. I’m sure they are being supportive towards Danny.
I’m off to see relatives for the weekend and most likely won’t come here until later on Sunday. Have a great day and talk to you later!
Twitter: pjgvet
Good morning!
GG, Maryann, lol don’t know how much more I can be here than I already am! I spend way too much time here and elsewhere.
I think the most important things we can do for Danny’s career are
Request his song.
Buy tix to his concert
Gift his album, buy his single (again)
Vote for him on video countdowns.
I know a lot of his fans hang out on twitter and use that more like a fan base than what twitter really is.
I also think when there is no Danny news it is quiet here. Also it is spring break for many so people are on vacation or are spending time with their kids at home.
Good things yet to come. I’ll carry the pom poms today Maryann
Not sure what made me think of this…maybe… cuz I’ll be seeing him this friday! yay
Danny’s birthday is April 24. What is his official mailing address? Anybody know?
Delighted to see that our Danny Gokey warriors will have more ammunition for their arsensal! Although the appearance with Lady Antebellum is only a spot date, Lady A suggested Danny to fill the spot. Contrary to what some fans want to believe, opening acts are not always determined by the preferences of the headliners, but by TPTB. Lady A is big by any standards — pop or country. (And I’ll bet Danny will sing “It’s Only” at that concert.)
The larger point is that, whether we’re talking about a tour or spot dates, Danny is appearing with some of the biggest names in country — Sugarland (tour); Tim McGraw (spot date(s)); and Lady A (spot date). As important, at least two of those acts (Sugarland & Lady A) have crossover appeal, so their fans are more likely to enjoy Danny’s twangless, modern soul country sound. (Not sure where Tim MgGraw falls on the spectrum. Anyone know?) So Danny is appearing with folks who can help him widen his fan base among country and crossover fans alike.
Definitely good news!
I do think we need to be patient, though. I know that there is some angst about the lack of national publicity. I’d like to see some, too. But I think we’re checking for Danny news on an almost daily basis, and I’m not sure how realistic that is. We’re seeing the trees and not the forest. It’s hard to get perspective when we’re immersed in all things Danny.
That is not to say I don’t worry — I’m a worrier by nature! Danny isn’t out of the woods yet. But his vital signs are intact and healthy!
Twitter: jevjos
I think Tim McGraw is at least partially crossover, I love his song with Nelly, Over Again. He’s also an actor so he’s definitely more than just a regular country singer. His songs along with Faith Hill’s are played on more than one format. Definitely the same type of fans will appeal to both. I think he goes so well with the cross people, it would be nice if he did. Carrie Underwood is also played on multiple formats.
One more point. The modern country thing requires a delicate balance, made more difficult because Danny comes to country music as an outsider. Even Lady A felt the need recently to reassure their fans that they have no intention of crossing over to pop, but will stick with country music. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that their second single from their new album is “American Honey” — which is the most country-sounding song I’ve heard from them.
Twitter: jevjos
His song is up +109 back on the spincrease charts. I confident that when Carrie’s falls, it won’t hurt his single. She has a new one out already on radio but it’s far back on the charts, the same with Blake Shelton. So hopefully a few others will fall off before they get close to him. I do feel sorry for Alan Jackson, he single is down now that his album came out, the same thing happened to Josh Thompson, although he has a new single out as well. It looks like radio took to the song very much, hopefully it’ll last more than 20 weeks. It’s around week 17 already.
Twitter: jevjos
Another song that seems to be growing on me a lot is Crazy Town, I really like the meaning behind that one.
Twitter: jevjos
I was reading an an older article about artists that could breakthrough this year on country. It said they only had one last year. Off the ones that they listed for this year Josh Thompson and Matt Kenon are still on the radio, Josh’s song I think got in the 20s. Easton of course had a #1 song, Laura Bundy seems to be doing ok with her song. There’s him and then the Band Perry both of whom I love and have their songs on the 20s. I hope there’s more than one , person this year since Easton clearly seems to be doing well with both his single and album. The rest I haven’t heard of on the list. Danny is definitely not out of the woods.
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
Pam, I definitely agree with you on the priorities. And btw I appreciate your responding to my posts on DGO. I am putting some focus over there, trying to post links and create content that encourages people to request the song etc and trying to start discussion topics. I am still very irritated that they have not yet fixed that nested reply problem, I’ve been reporting it for over 8 weeks now. That is so ridiculous. I’ve decided that I guess I need to just post a caveat on every thread that if you want to post a reply, use the “Add new Reply” button because the “Add new comment” button doesn’t work.
Thanks for shaking those pom-poms Pam! Just getting a little nervous, I suppose.
I know Danny is doing great. The single biggest reasons to celebrate are those tour dates. Tim is a legend. Lady A is huge, and Sugarland is fabulous! There is no way, any of their fans are going to hear Danny and not end up loving him. This much I know.
He has been accepted. No holdouts. They keep inviting him back to the GOO, and he has been invited to perform a the CMA pre-concert series. He has great album sales.
How much better can it get then this?
I am sticking around to see!
I’ll get on over there later today, and back you up too Josie. Thanks for keeping the discussions going. I’ll figure out something to generate some interest.
Back to RL.
Just remembered Summerfest w/ Carrie. Another reason to seriously smile

Ellen, great point; we have proof that Lady A suggested Danny! Kris’s fans at TWOP keep saying Keith requested/Lady A requested Keith for those date- no proof of that. Now I’m sure Keith liked Kris-who doesn’t- but I doubt a pop AI singer would be who he requested to be his opener, lol. Thanks for reminding me to bookmark that article!
Maryann, Josie; we are all a mighty team (no pun intended).
Speaking of ; Suz- Mighty is still trolling the AI folders, but he is a Lee fan this year (Adam last year).
Dee, you are gonna love him!
Hey
Don’t know how long of a break I took from here, but since it’s been slow today and Danny and the crew have had a few days off and the recent news of Danny doing that show in NY w/Lady A, which is very awesome to me, I figured I’d just stop in for a second. Anyway…
I’m not gonna comment about the worry that some of y’all have about national promotion for Danny b/c I personally don’t see anything to worry about. Danny has a lot of people backing him up and making sure everything goes smoothly. So far, I don’t see any problems
Everything has to take time. No need to rush everything. That’s all I have to say about that.
But, I’ll be very honest and say that it still annoys me when all this doubt about how the label and the management is handling the promotion of MBD and everything else is brought up when some people don’t feel satisfied w/how things are going for Danny. That really bothers me a lot. Danny’s hot right now and he’s gonna keep getting hotter as his career progresses. And that’s all I’m saying about that, too. Just thought I’d put my feelings about that out there.
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
Pam, that’s right! I think you must be correct that a lot of people who want to talk about Danny use his twitter as a kind of thread. I remember the first time I looked at it, I thought why in the world are people tweeting Danny every two minutes, then I realized they were talking to each other that way. I looked at it recently and it appeared that this has slowed down, perhaps because Danny either doesn’t have time for or has lost interest in twitter.
I still wish he would use his twitter more to influence fans to do helpful things. He could even just say something like “I c u out there requesting my single, thank you! <3 <3". What do you think would happen if he did that, hmmm?
Maryann, thanks for the support! I'll keep adding new things every day. Anyone who starts new threads, feel free to use the same caveat I've started to put at the bottom of mine. I really do think some people probably went away frustrated when their replies kept getting "eaten".
I don't think I commented on the S9 show yet. I was pretty shocked when Mike was the one who got the least votes. He has had some really good performances, and he really can sing. I thought he would end up in the Top 4. I think I said something yesterday about seeing whether or not we'd see a demonstration of the power of the tween girls, well there it was. I'm glad the judges saved Mike, he deserves to stay longer. I like his type of R&B voice. Simon might say it's not current, but it's a shame that it isn't in my opinion. Anoop had a similar problem. I think it's so interesting how Anoop has decided to navigate that, adding the Bollywood influence. He's kind of creating his own thing, which is cool.

Hi Danni!
Hope you are having a good spring break!
One of the great things about this site is that people are free to discuss items of interest involving Danny’s career; whether they agree or disagree. As long as we are respectful of each other’s opinions, do not proclaim anyone wrong for the way they feel, do not bash people personally and avoid causing drama among members, its all good.
And I go to almost all of them.
If no one had differing opinions, this would be a dead site indeed.
This is the best Danny fan site there is
Cherie, that is pretty neat about that People mag. give away!
Lol, discussing dannygokey babies at MJs.

Maybe the 3rd try will be the charm….

Danni I am so proud of you for expressing your frustrations. I believe you should your express dissappoints as well as your happy moments, that is how change and growth takes place– it is not an issue of disrespect when you disagree. You and others have voiced their frustatons to deaf ears; unfortunately, very noble ones have left completely. Do not be initimidated, just be honest. I am sure the defenders are on their wayyyyy!! LOL HAHAHA!
have a good day!
Hey Pam!- wish I were on spring break but that was last month for me. Just hanging out at home right now.
I try my best to respect other people’s opinions, especially on here, and take them into perspective. But since I haven’t been posting on here as much as I did b/c of all the frustrations that I had or still have w/the “Danny fans” who have doubts about what’s going on w/his career right now. I still feel the way that I do about it and that’s not gonna change. Just really disappoints me that they can’t support the success that Danny has had so far and can’t at least try and be patient w/things to come. Think I saw on here yesterday someone doubting the tour dates that Danny has w/Sugarland or something like that. Yes, even though I haven’t been posting on here as much, doesn’t stop me from lurking
Anyway…
That’s how I feel about it. Didn’t mean to go on and on but it had to be said.
Latrece-thanks
Just popping in to welcome back Danielle!! I am totally with you on your feelings and what a boring world we would live in if we all ‘agreed’……
Yes Latrece – you are bang on re it not being an issue of disrespect when you disagree. My favourite saying is : “Lets’s agree to disagree” and MOVE ON!!
This site was started by Amy and Erika so let’s be respectful to them and all come together to support Danny instead of criticizing his management etc….
We all have our ‘worries’ and that’s ok – I can see all sides to all the differences on here – ‘different strokes for different folks’!!
Hey come on peeps after all: “It’s Only Love”!!!!
Julie Yayyy!! you took thhe words right out of my mouth!! how eloquent you are! you are right, let’s respect the rightful Administator and overseer and show some love
!!!
Yay Latrece – let’s have a LOVE fest!!
where is GokeyGuy when you need him hey?
we need him to ‘serenade’ us with ‘What Hurts The Most’ – remember when Danny was touring with the S8 idols and we were all following the cell casts?
Ah the hazy summer of LOVE!!!
I think that it’s fine if people have some doubts and express them about stuff that’s going on in Danny’s career. The important thing is that we all support Danny and want the best for him. I don’t think that expressing worry or doubt about something that’s going on with Danny’s career is wrong or means that people aren’t supporting him.
I think that it’s also important not to criticize other people for their opinions, as long as they aren’t attacking Danny or other posters.
A lot of have people have supported Idols over the years and some of the idols have done really well, some not so much. And I think that it’s okay if people want to express some concern about what’s going on with Danny or any other idols careers. Kris’s album fell of the Billboard 200 albums chart and I can understand his fans being worried about that.
I don’t think that anything like that will happen to Danny anytime soon. But if something like that happened to Danny in the future, I think that it would be fine if people expressed concerned about that.
I think that right now Danny’s doing well, especially considering he hasn’t gotten a lot of national promotion. (Which I hope he will get soon)
Julie I am looking to capture that moment of love with the Danny fans!! I think we still have it in us!! Danny has made a major leap in his career, that is something to shout about!! LOL I wish GOkeyguy was here, where is he at??!! LOL
Julie I can feel the vibe of love with you noww!!!! LOL
!!
Twitter: pjgvet
I think people are missing my point that “agreeing to disagree: also means not “scolding” others for their viewpoints. That is not being tolerant; that is saying “We can only talk about or look at things from our viewpoint”.
Its ok to be frustrated; I get frustrated by conversations here, especially drama, which is one reason some people I know don’t like to post.
And telling people that you don’t like what they have to say and that you are disappointed in what they are saying is not “agreeing to disagree”.
This is a forum for discussion; and Julie you are right- it is Amy and Erika’s forum and they tolerate all different discussions. It is for them to say what is appropriate and what is not.
If you visit other forums, you will see that is the case.
I may not agree with what some say concerning Danny’s management plan (and they only say it out of love for Danny- no one is criticizing Danny in the least), but I fully support their right to say it.
Everyone has the freedom not to read or post here. No one “owns” the forum or discussion except for Amy and Erika.
And that is all I have to say (stealing your words Danni, lol).
Twitter: pjgvet
No, I actually do have one more thing……….
Gokeyguy ( a supersweet, sensitive young guy. Jen and Steph enjoyed his company immensely at Winterblast) was one who expressed frustration at Danny’s management last night.
How do you think he feels when people say they are disappointed in what he has to say, and frustrated with him?
I fully support his right to say what he did, know he said it out of concern for Danny and hope he is not upset by the conversation here today.
Now I’m done to avoid further drama.
ITA with you pjgvet
Also what do you think of the discussion at mjs about the idols looks. I was laughing at what some of the people over there were saying, including a comment one made about Danny.
Hey come on – who are we to say what can be said or not? This is a ‘free’ country and I don’t need to go on other forums to see what is appropriate. Truthfully – I don’t have the time or energy
LOL.

It really is just about keeping up morale and that’s all I am trying to do….
No one is criticising Danny at all – unfortunately because we can’t hear of see people- the ‘tone’ of our posts are perceived in all sorts of ways
Now where is that vibe of LOVE and Maryann’s pom pom’s??
Twitter: pjgvet
FOGS,
I found the conversation hilarious
Of course I had to get in how hot Danny is………….
Josies post was my favorite!:
Danny is ugly? lol. What I see is an oval face, perfect complexion (not a slam against Adam as mention of complexion often is, I love Adam and think he’s beautiful), nice eyes and a very pretty mouth. Athletic/muscular physique. I think he’s a great looking guy. I can see why people would find Lee attractive too.
I think expressing dissappointment in an extreme topic is a good thing, not considered scolding. When we loose the boundaries of respect by commentting boldly about Danny’s management team, that is blatant disrepect to Danny and his family who possibly lurks here. Labeling other fans as selfish and full of drama is condescending, disrespectful and poor choice of words. I believe people have voiced the reason they choose to leave was based on what Dannielle said, inconjunction with too much focus on haters, other idols career path and worry over Danny’s career.
It is not wrong to be concerned and worried to a degree about Danny’s progress, but what is frustrating is when it is 90% haters, worries over Danny career, other idols career path and only 10% of revelant news about Danny, then it gets to be sensory overload for some of the other fans; this is what other fans consider drama. I don’t think Danny demonstrate love by focusing on haters and critizing his peers. I don’t think anyone should be intimidated or labeled because they do express their opinion but hopefully we can agree to disagree
!! peace and love!! Have a wonderful and blessed day ihearts !!
ITA with you Latrece!! Thanks for expressing so eloquently!
now that’s what I’m talking about!!
It is time for bed for me -busy day at work so am pooped! Come on Maryann- give us a D, give us an A, give us a N, give us a N and give us a Y!! What have we got? DANNY!!!!!!!!
Peace out guys and may you have a blessed day…
pjgvet
I thought that conversation was funny too. And I liked Josie’s post as well.
Julie!!!! Yayyyyy!!! Goodnight have agood Danny dream!!!! you will see Danny one dayyy!!!
!!
Twitter: pjgvet
Good job Josie, getting the hater to admit Danny isn’t “ugly”, lol!
” Hmm, I guess that is a point of similarity. Check out this photo of Danny, then the one of Lee.”
“*hangs head* I gotta admit that one picture of Gokey was hot. But
Cooks lips >>>>>>> Lee’s lips >>>>> Danny’s lips. My mom would be so proud about me debating who has better lips.”
I really haven’t seen anyone say anything horrible about Danny’s management. I have just seen people express concern about what his managements plans are for him, which I think is fine.
I think that Danny fans discuss a nice mixture of topics on this site. It’s true some of us do talk about the haters, ,but we also talk about upcoming concerts, how he’s doing on the country charts, how much he’s selling, etc. Some of us do talk about the other idols, because we are interested/are fans of other idols. Some of us talk about our familes and stuff like that. But we’re all came here to support Danny and I think that’s the most important thing.
I don’t really see drama when we discuss different topics. I really only see drama when people are critical of other posters for feeling a certain a way and act like the posters are wrong for expressing their opinions including ones that may not always be the most optimistic.
I think that the past thing to do is to agree to disagree, and not be critical of each other. And a certain topic really annoys a poster, I would just suggest skipping over the posts that mention that topic.
It takes all kinds to make a world and all kinds to make a forum. We have worry worts, cheerleaders, and realists (like me) and optomists. We are fooling ourselves if we don’t think Danny’s career is going to have ups and downs and his fans should be able to voice their concerns when that happens and it will. It would be quite boring and wouldn’t do Danny any good if we just put on our rosy sunglasses and acted and posted like things were always wonderful and Danny was going to be a mega superstar and have a platinum selling album. That could happen but there are no guarantees and it is not going to happen any time soon and if it does it is not going to be easy for Danny or for his fans. It is going to take a lot of hard work.
I am worried about Danny’s single climbing much higher on the charts. I hope that it will but it has been at #29 on Billboard for 5 weeks. That is not necessarily a good sign. His spins are up but only in the single digits and the songs behind him and above him have much higher increases in spins. His label had a banner on country aircheck last week requesting radio stations move it to medium rotation but I haven’t seen any evidence of that happening yet. Brian Mansfield confirmed last night in one of his replies that how well the previous single does determines how fast program managers decide to add the next single. I would love for his single to make it into the top 20 to lead the way for I Will Not Say Goodbye to make it into the top 10 and then crossover to top 40, HAC and AC. I agree with Pam that there are four really important things we can do to help Danny.
Buy his CD (gift it if we already own it)
Buy tickets to his shows
REQUEST HIS SONG ON THE RADIO
Vote for his music video on countdowns.
Voting on the sexiest artist and other polls and posting at MJ’s, TWOP, etc may help keep the buzz going but don’t have near as much of an impact.
Okay, ‘m off my soapbox now.

Pam, from “ugly” to “hot” in one page, I think I have outdone myself.
That was a fun discussion. I tend to be task-oriented with my “Danny projects” and all that, but it’s fun to be a little fangirly every once in awhile.
Pjgvet
I see the debate about looks is still going at mjs, lol.
Twitter: pjgvet
Josie; You really did outdo yourself. You are truly the “hater whisperer”
Lizzy, I don’t like negative news either; but sometimes it motivates people to action.
FOGS, ITA. You have a way with words, in that you state things objectively, rationally without disrespecting anyone.
You are the “anti-drama” queen and I really want to thank you for that.
That is the way you win friends, influence people, and we can all (me included) take a lesson from you.
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
I worry about people not requesting his song enough. I have tried to write up stuff on DGO urging people to do it and linking back to the file here, but there’s not that much traffic there right now. If I send a tweet about it, like, “please see this post on DGO for info about requesting Danny’s song” is that too “bossy”? You can tell me the truth.
By the way, if anyone wants to talk about Danny more, please introduce topics! I love to talk about Danny. Sometimes people introduce topics that I’m not interested in, and I skip over them. But I like lots of new topics, both directly related to Danny and more ancillary ones.
Good job Josie.
When people defend/post positively about Danny at places like mjs and TWOP it does help and cause some people to reevaluate the stuff they say about him.
Thanks pjgvet.
Lizzy
I wonder what’s going to happen with Danny’s song as well. I think that RCA might try and wait a little a while longer to see how far it can move up. But I’m not sure how far it will move up.
I think that it can move up a couple of more spots if a couple of songs go recurrent within the next couple of weeks. But I don’t know if it will make the Top 20. Danny has gotten a good amount of adds, I just think that some of these stations aren’t really playing his song that much.4
The good thing though is that even if this song doesn’t go much higher at least Danny still has momentum from his album selling well. I think that could still help him once they send “I will not say good-bye” for adds.
I wasn’t criticizing anyone for what they say. I only said how I felt about how some fans are worried or frustrated at Danny’s management about the upcoming tour dates w/Sugarland and such and there really isn’t any need to be b/c that’s a great opportunity for Danny. Was I “bashing” the person who brought that up yesterday, totally forgot who it was now,no, I wasn’t. Just want to make that clear. And since I’m started on my honesty kick now, I didn’t necessarily agree w/them questioning that. Sorry, just didn’t.
I understand that they were frustrated and frustrations can really get to a person sometimes but that’s the only thing that I’ll agree w/them about is how they feel, not what they said. Don’t mean to come off as mean, but reading about all this doubt, worry, whatever is very overwhelming and does get on my nerves. Now I’m done w/the honesty kick. Y’all may not agree w/what I had to say and that’s fine. I’ll continue to be respectful towards other people’s opinions and such as long as they are the same way w/me. If I don’t like what someone has to say about Danny’s label/management or whatever else on here…I won’t say anything b/c I’ll just ramble on and on and on like I am now. That being said, I’m out. Have a good night everyone
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
Pam, I couldn’t agree more with what you said about FOGS. And I like the way you joke around with people. I feel like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde over there sometimes. I am never mean but I know I can be pretty stern sometimes. It’s nice to be here, where I can just be sweet all the time, lol!
I need to read that debate at MJs and the discussion about Dannygokeybabies. That little catchphrase has caught on like wildfire–it’s another Pants on the Ground! I noticed Crystal is trending in first place on my Yahoo homepage. I think that comment–more than her singing–has made her famous. Sometimes things just strike a nerve and take off that way. It’s so random, who knew?
About the neverending debates on every discussion board as to whether or not Lee=David Cook+Danny, it’s just too funny. So I tried that morph thing someone used to fuse Andrew and Lee’s faces together to get a Danny Gokey baby. I was curious to see what would result if I fused David and Danny’s faces together and see if I get Lee. Not exactly Lee–I got Keanu Reeves instead.
That made me laugh because I always found Keanu to be one of the hottest actors in Hollywood, and used to have a huge crush on him when I was younger. Coincidence?
Danvid.

I don’t think there’s too much drama here at iheart. I love the fact we can all have differing points of view and still be civil. That isn’t the case on most message boards. Some are much stricter and will ban you for posting an unpopular opinion or expressing anger or dissatisfaction. TWOP is really strict–you can’t even reference other idols in a thread, or cut and paste articles, and of course MJs is known for banning people, especially Danny fans.
I think it’s cool we can come here and express how we feel. The bottom line is, we all want what’s best for Danny, but sometimes we just don’t agree about what would work best.
I would like to see Danny get more national promo, but I also think he’s doing extremely well and is very happy. I think the national stuff will come in time. We just have to be patient. Being a Danny fan has taught me a lot about patience!
Heartbreaking article from EW about Lee’s reactions backstage last night.
http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/04/08/american-idol-april-7-2010/
I hate to think about what he’ll be like when Andrew leaves. Poor Lee really wears his heart on his sleeve, more than anyone else I’ve ever seen on this show. He suffers so much, bless his heart. I love him for that but I worry about him. He needs to develop a thicker skin to be in the music business.
Josie
You always seem very nice to the posters even the ones that say mean stuff about Danny and Adam.
I think that you are one of the nicest posters and that includes on mjs site.
I really do think that Danny has one of the nicest fanbases.
Rowansmom,
I had noticed that the other contestants talked about much of a worrier Lee is. I do think that Andrew might go home next week. I think that Andrew and Tim are nice guys, but I think that they should go home next week.
I think that’s one of the reasons why the judges saved Mike last night, because they possibly want to see Andrew and Tim go next week. And I also think that they saved Mike because they think that he didn’t deserve to go home.
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
rowansmom, that was an interesting fusion! Not as cute as Danny to me, but interesting!
I also meant to say earlier, Danielle, it was nice to see you back and I hope you’ll come back more often. I would love it if you would come back and introduce a topic of conversation that you would like to discuss. As I said earlier, I tend to be kind of serious and task-oriented, but I also like lighthearted chatter and joking around. What would YOU like to talk about? Let us know, I am pretty sure you’ll get some takers.
By the time AI is over on the West Coast, it’s very late, so I doubt anyone sees my posts. I meant to re-post this comment this morning, but had no time (lots of meetings and educational programs today):
Whhaaat???
“Lords-in-waiting: Nipping at Crystal’s heels is a trio of talented men, who each during the last few weeks has turned in a memorable performance. This week’s headliner is leonine-maned Casey James, who brought the house down with a bluesy, emotionally raw rendition of “Jealous Guy” Tuesday night. The spare arrangement and brooding vocals clearly moved the judges, spurring Simon to call it the “best performance of the night.” Last Tuesday, it was Lee Dewyze who stole Crystal’s thunder. The David Cook sound-alike demonstrated some newfound confidence in a hard-charging performance of “Hey Jude” that featured an utterly random wandering bagpipe player. It wasn’t nearly as good as last week’s “Treat Her Like a Lady,” but it was still vocally convincing stuff. When he’s on, this raspy-throated singer can wail with the best of them. And despite his troubles this week, don’t forget Michael Lynche, who clearly has found his comfort zone delivering middle-of-the-road, adult contemporary fare. His old-school sound is definitely easy on the ears. But one thing’s for sure: Like Danny Gokey before him, he’s going to need to tone down some of his take-it-to-church theatrics. His version of “Eleanor Rigby” was more than a tad overcooked, and Simon’s not going to stomach anymore vocal melodrama.”
DANNY had take-it-to-church theatrics??? More like Adam Lambert to me !!! First time I heard Danny called theatrical!

Thanks Josie, I always worry that people will take my jokes the wrong way. I do like to tease, but some don’t like to be teased
Helio, you will definitely get a kick out of the dannygokey baby talk.
Danni-
Of course everyone respects your opinion; its just that all of us get frustrated at different types of conversation, but when I do I just scroll down instead of vocalizing that I don’t like that conversation, because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Which I know I can do, I’m only human, but I try.
Was someone really saying the Sugarland tour wasn’t a great opportunity?? I don’t recall that at all; I just remember some being frustrated by the lack of national PR, which some of us are being optimistic about. I only had the impression everyone was thrilled about the tour.
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
FOGS, thanks (and you too), and I agree with you that Danny has such a nice fanbase. As I’ve mentioned on mj’s before, you don’t see the Danny fan regulars going into threads of the other contestants and saying mean things about them. Every fan base has nice and smart people, but I feel really good about being part of this one. I do think we represent Danny well, even when it has been under difficult circumstances at times. It’s so much nicer now, when we can have fun conversations like the one today.
Pam-no, someone didn’t say that about the Sugarland tour, I believe(and please don’t take my word for it), that they were talking about is is enough for Danny or something like that.
Josie-sorry, missed your post about asking what I would like to talk about. Can’t really think of anything right now b/c I’m a bit amped up from what I was talking about before. But thanks for the idea, though.
Pam- I was scrolling through the discussion yesterday and saw someone talk about the sugarland tour and whether it’s worth it or not. Didn’t catch who posted that b/c I was too busy looking for what they were talking about, JSYK.
That’s it. Need to get off here and eat something. I’ll try and come back later.
Hi ihearties
. Great picture of Danny today
. I think that is huge that Lady A suggested danny open for them. He seems to becoming very well liked in the country industry. I don’t sweat the small stuff with Danny and his rise to fame. He’s not controversial, doesn’t get in any trouble and seems extremely loyal to his fans. I feel he will be greatly rewarded in the future. All he needs is one hit song, like a lot of the other country artists and he will be on his way
. He has paid his dues and I think his best days are ahead of him
.
FOGS,
I think the lover lover song is going to pass Danny’s song which will put Danny back to #29 right above Gretchen Wilson again. I hate to see his song go backwards, even if it is gaining spins and audience impression. For some reason, the major markets are not putting Danny’s song into medium rotation. Everything else is going really well for Danny. His sales held steady last week and his got lots of tour dates in the future, plus he has gotten quite good press in the country music world. They just need to play his dang song on the radio and all would be good with the world.
If I recall correctly someone mentioned that they were not sure if Danny opening for Sugarland was worth it for Danny. I don’t know maybe they thought it would be better for Danny to headline his own tour on a smaller scale. I just figured they didn’t realize what a great opportunity it is for Danny to open for Sugarland. Many people don’t realize that up and coming country artists often open for bigger country acts and that it is considered an honor to do so. I was listening to an interview with Lady Antebellum a couple of months ago talking about how excited they were to open for Tim McGraw.
I like Josie am normally more action oriented and into the radio airplay, sales, charts, promo etc info but have to admit that I couldn’t stop reading the conversation at MJ’s comparing Danny, David Cook and Lee’s looks and am amused by the dannygokeybabies stories. It’s is fun reading.
Lizzy
I wonder if the reason Danny’s song is not getting played more on radio is because of the “callout” scores that Windmills at mjs talks about sometimes. I remember Windmills saying that not a whole lot of people said that really wanted to hear Danny’s song on the radio.
I think that someone did post the percentages from the callout scores over here and I think that it seemed like most people were either neutral, or didn’t really love “My Best Days” a lot. Even though it didn’t seem like most of them hated it either.
Maybe more listeners might respond favorably to “I will not say goodbye” after the label releases it.
Do you or anyone else know more about the callout scores that Windmills likes to bring up?
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
FOGS, Danip posted some info about that, and had Danny’s numbers as well as the song that Pam always asks about (I forget what it is….the corn song?). From what I remember, I don’t think they were markedly different.
Danip, if you’re around, do you have to have a paid subscription to get those numbers, or are they regularly posted somewhere?
I know that several of us registered with rate the music on all access and rated Danny’s song. The scores were posted here. I believe it was Saturday that we were discussing it. I hate to say it but I truly believe that some of the fans of other Idols sabotage some of Danny’s numbers on sites like that and elsewhere. That is why it is so important for Danny’s fans to be actively doing things to help him. We need to have his back. I guess we should add rating his song on rate the music to the list above on ways we can help Danny.
Pam, or anyone who posts at MJs–
Can you please provide the link to the Dannygokeybabies discussion? I can’t find it anywhere on that site. I really want to read what people are saying. Thanks.
Or Lizzy. Link to that discussion please?
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
Lizzy, I agree. Another one is joining the local radio station listener’s club. I have received several surveys from them, I’m in the middle of one that has 565, yes you read that right, 565 song snips. I still have not got to Danny’s but it better be on there!!! He was on another one I received, so hopefully will be.
That reminds me, I meant to do a post on DGO about the listener clubs. I already did one about Rate the Music.
Food for thought: Yesterday I heard Cody Allen announce the “#1 song of the day.” From what I gather, Cody Allen may have a syndicated program that is played on many radio stations, and it seems like the #1 song of the day is a segment on that program. It sounded like people called in or e-mailed to vote on the song of the day. (It doesn’t have to be #1 on the charts.) Anyway, yesterday Luke Bryan’s “corn song” was #1. If Danny won song of the day, MBD would play on whatever radio stations carry the Cody Allen program, correct? And it would count for spins, I assume. Maybe that is something we can look into?
Josie,
I have been requesting Danny’s song on KMPS in Seattle regularly (even before it was added) but have yet to hear it on there….have you heard it yet? I usually only listen to the radio in my car going to and from work though so that may be why.
Also, what method of requesting do you think is the most effective….phone, text, or email? I usually text my request, but have emailed too. Live too far away to deliver cookies as I have read some tried!
I wonder if WMZQ in DC has a listeners club. I am a loyal listener with them and receive emails but have never received any surveys. I will have to check it out. You are listening to 565 snippets of songs – wow that is a dedicated fan.
Ellen, that is definately worth looking into. Any way we can get Danny spins and heard on the radio is worth it.

asics717, I have been watching for you to turn up at the same time I’m here because I have been meaning to tell you. I asked Tony Thomas and he said the best way is to text the request, he said the number is 54994. I don’t have texting on my cell phone (I don’t think). I need to try to figure out how to do it on my PC. The other station, I think it’s KKWF, it’s easy because they have it right on the website. Here is a link to their site, in case you don’t have it. I know both stations played it 12 times last week from looking on mediabase, but I haven’t heard it yet.

Paula,
Meant to comment on your post:
Nice post! I agree. Very nice positivity about Danny. I think we all agree he has a great chance of succeeding.
One way I have of looking at all of this is; These discussion forums are for our amusement; I don’t think what we say has much of an impact on Danny’s career at all (except the news Amy/Erika posts is huge to let his fans know what he is up to).
But the most important things we can do to take action to actually do something for Danny are again:
Buy his album (or at least his single on iTunes if gifting album is out of your reach- only $1.29.)
Request! Josie and Lizzy have put so much time and effort into compiling the lists so fans can help
Attend his concerts
Vote for videos so his song will be out there
Sign up for Rate the Music like some of us have and help his ratings
Rate his itunes album and single-
Lizzy, unfortunately I think you are correct; I know haters rate down his stuff, so all the more reason he needs our help (Remember Danny told Jan and Toni he wanted our help?)
I think the radio stations are slow to play him because he is an “outsider” to country and it will be more difficult for him.
Its telling the Texas (most traditional) haven’t added. I did ask a Texas fan on another forum why they haven’t and she also said that station plays the same songs over and over, so they may not add him unless he gets farther up.
I think its great he is where he’s at, but of course want to see him go higher!
Thanks Josie! I usually text my request while driving to and from work (sitting in traffic on I5), and Tony Thomas texted back last time “Might take me a little while…but lemme work on that!
Tony T.”
Glad to know texting is best…that is something I can do easily (have that number logged into my phone) and often! Also glad to know it is getting played even if we aren’t hearing it.
Thank you for that other radio link….not familiar with them at all but will check it out.

While MBDAAM being “stuck” at 27-29 is frustrating, its still darn good. Remember poor Allison? Let’s be glad we’re not her core fans trying to find a positive spin on her current situation.
Yesterday I grabbed my cellphone and asked my “favorite” station to play MBDAAM during the morning commute–nope, not scheduled during their shift. I dialed their competitor, I was greeted warmly and they said, we’ll play it for you right now. The amazing thing: They Played it right then! So, I put their station as a speed dial on my car radio!
So, I hope 19/RCA/sony have something up their sleeve for the big push to the top 20. I remain hopeful. (Of course I do, duh!) But none the less–lots of great things are happening for Danny.
I opened my morning paper during my lunch hour, and a COLOR advertisement of Danny for his Ho Chunk concert stared back at me. My son “has to” hear country all day long as an electrician on a job site. He says he heard all about the beef cake contest and he’s been hearing MBDAAM regularly!
Its working! jan
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
asics717, that’s great that you’re doing that. I think it makes a huge difference when the stations hear from people in their listening area.
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
Jan, kudos to you too, and lol at your son hearing all about the beefcake contest!

Something else to consider is every station plays a different amount of songs so the amount various on what’s consider high/med rotation. Ex- he has 38 spins in Milwaukee, three songs are in the 40 rang and only one is in the 50s. I haven’t seen many songs hit the 50 range at all here. So I think that might be consider high rotation. So some of the stations in the 20-30 are playing it in could be playing it in medium rotation depending what the other songs are. Even station lists there 50 songs on all access-just the monitoroed ones.
i think MBDAAM will break the top 20 country charts. remember few week ago it was also stuck at the top 50s. be positive guys
tim mcgraw, lady A and sugarland! wow the management must be doing something great. its tim mcgraw! one of the most popular male country act if not the most popular. im sure there are many tim mcgraw fans who are yet to know danny gokey (and american idol) and sure they will be converted once they hear danny sing.

He made the top five countdown in Dallas-I think Texas is slowly, slowly breaking. COMIN ON HOUSTON!!!!!I think the nightly countdown shows are the most requested songs(or it could be played) in the area, it various by region. Milwaukee has a top 8 at 8 and I know had made it a few times. I feel like my requests are starting to work.

OMG! Good Evening Ladies! Im so sorry I think I created this drama about Danny’s PR!… I didn’t meant anything else but Danny’s success in my viewpoint. I didn’t say that Danny opening for Sugarland is not a great opportunity… What I said is that because of that, Danny MIGHT not do National Promotions because of the busy schedules and everything. maybe it will be too late for all of that… Im sorry but Im a big fan of national promotions and I firmly believe on the power of TV… We will see the effect of this tour on album sales and Country charts and Radioplay spins. I have my doubts but that doesn’t mean it will not vanish in my mind forever… I love Danny as much as yall ladies do, I also care and strongly believe in his doings. Maybe Im just worried or crazy.
Thanks Pam, Maryann, Latrece, Julie etc!!! yall so sweet… We all have diffent viewpoints here and I believe that each one of them will be respected by all of us here…
Twitter: jancute
and one more thing… don’t we all saw the power and the effects of TV? On behalf of Danny’s international fans, I deeply with them when it comes to Danny’s PR. I should say that it is not balanced and somehow very awkward when it comes to promotions. I don’t have anything violently against the tour but don’t be so ignorant on how today’s media affects a rookie artist’s career…
Good news!
Coming from an early McDonald’s breakfast, my 8 and 6 year old kids rushed to tell me they’ve heard Danny Gokey singing “What Hurt’s the Most” while they were there.
Danny music being played in a local McDonald’s here in the Philippines? Wow that’s huge.
Twitter: pjgvet
Ana, Cherie, thanks for that great news! That would put a huge grin on my face to hear Danny in a McDonalds
#20 in Canada isn’t bad! I wonder if those Canadian stations that added him a few weeks ago are starting to play him?
GG, hear you and understand you; ya know we love you
Hi Gokeyguy rest assure I nor Julie was not making any reference to you at all. I am sorry someone blatantly inserted your name to prove a point but Gokeyguy the conversation was about the overall view of the site and not about you. Sorry Gokeyguy for adding unnecessary stress when you were not apart of the conversation; hopefully, your feelings will be respected in the future not to bring your name in discussions unless consented!! Goodnight no worries
!!
Twitter: jancute
and one more thing again… Danny is super lacking of National Promotions, those frontliners yall talking about like Lady A, Sugarland, Tim Mcgraw; they’ve all got enough shares on TV promotions so that is why their music is known thoughout the world which will be a big big big help for Danny!!! Im not saying that those concerts are just a waste, Im saying that they have to look one more time on how this would spin for Danny. Yes, its a HUGE honor to open for those acts but on Danny’s case, Danny is just starting, and he needs a big boosts first. I remember this from the Winterblast (this event is not an ordinary event, not like those radio tours that are filled with hardcore Dannyfans, this event crowd are Country fanatics and enthusiats) Dave Cynar, Do yall know him? of course not, do you know why? because hes not that well known because he is the one who won the contest on a VA Country music event. Not so many people applauded or not so many were so interested about him ( i wouldn’t be so surprised cuz hes a new commer on Country) Im sick and tired of the announcers when they introduce Danny onstage ” and the next one is from American Idol” blah blah blah! ok we get it. I noticed this one that I didn’t mention on my recap. People (obvious non-Dannyfan or just hardcore Country fans) was just amazed and it really looks like thats the first time they saw Danny. very awkward, I almost said to all of them, “are yall not watching American Idol?” (of course we crazy Dannyfans all know him very very well so there is no problem with that and I would say there were enough Dannyfans out there who went to see him and cheered for him and the half of the audience just applauded him for seeing him for the first time or on live event) Now, tell me ladies, how would Danny promote his second single IWNSG? on concert tours? well think again… Pls, Im sorry if some of you don’t agree with me, I just want to give my opinion. I love Danny and yall know that and I want the best for him.
Danny if you’re lurking, Im so sorry if my viewpoint is not that clear or right. Im not asking for you to do all of this, its just my sense of peace.
Hey everyone! I was totally gone the whole day, but I tried scanning through everyone’s comments. Gah, I screamed when I heard Danny was going to perform with Lady A! I’m not even like a huge Lady A fan, but that’s so exciting to me.
This is great for Danny! I’m also thinking about maybe going to see Danny at the end of May cause I don’t have school anymore! YES. It’s just the information for this event sucks. Hopefully more info comes out soon.
Twitter: jancute
hey Pam, Latrece – thanks, don’t worry, im not disappointed. It really feels good to just let it out and somehow express what I felt on these situations and Dannyissues.
GG – the Sugarland tour will be a big part of Danny’s national promotion. He will be playing to people who are more apt to be fans – than a random audience sitting at home watching TV. The tour is where he will have the greatest opportunity to grow his fan base outside of American Idol. In addition, he will get press coverage from those reviewing the shows. And the live shows are another very important means of generating revenue for the record label, especially in Country music.
I definitely would like to see Danny compliment that with some TV appearances. But I do think it’s a misconception that by just making the talk show circuit round, it is the ultimate national promotion. It is just one part of the overall promotion process. I also think it’s a great honor for a new artist like Danny to be able to perform with such established Country acts as Sugarland, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw. Lady Antebellum specifically asked for Danny. That is big.

Gokeyguy, it doesn’t bother me in the least to read your your thoughts about what’s going on with Danny. You have a lot of passion for wanting what’s best for his career, that’s a great thing. I like you very much. I am sure people who have a different point of view must like you too, who wouldn’t! And I think that everyone here has Danny’s best interests at heart, so it doesn’t trouble me to see opinions that may vary from my own. I personally think the time for some national promo will come soon. It’s going to be great to see it, something fun to look forward to.

I am G, I agree that the strategy has to be a multi-pronged one. I don’t recall if you were here when we were talking about this not long ago, but I mentioned Kat McPhee. I think she has been on every high profile show there is, and it doesn’t seem to have made the big difference for her.

If anyone has Mission Management’s email/contact can they DM it to me?
A friend is going to the ACM Fremont concert series and her husband is a photographer of Rock bands
Although he usually does heavy metal, lol.
He would like to get a press pass! Wouldn’t that be cool if we got some great pics.
PJGVET, here is their website, with email contacts. They are still playing My Best Days Are Ahead of Me

I am G – I will be so glad if Im soooo wrong about what I said about national TV promotions… I really hope that this strategy would really work on Danny’s behalf… either way, I will be so thrilled to see Danny succeed on his management’s way. Im just a big fan of National TV and I believe on what can it do for him. I think, Its just too late for National TV promotions now that the tour is already starting. I think its a “Country” way to introduce a new artists on Country Music. Maybe Im just suffering on “not seeing Danny near to my area” syndrome LOL!
I hope yall understand why Im so crazy about this thing.
Hey Josie, thanks for everything. I love all of you hear and you all like my extended Dannyfamily here.
Twitter: pjgvet
Gokey Guy, don’t apologize at all! I always enjoy reading your opinions, you have a great viewpoint. Like I’ve said before, if we all thought the same it would be boring and there would be nothing to discuss
And if you are too worried; iheart will do its best to cheer you up; lots of good cheerleaders here. I think sometimes its good to hear other perspectives; we get too worried when we just look at things from our own perspective. Jan and Paula warmed my heart tonight.
IamG, I agree. And Danny did mention on the WI cable interview that there were some coming. We just don’t know when, or the timing associated with them.

Thank you so much I am G for that email!

hey Pam – thank you so much… I know yall so tired of hearing me rambling and all but I just want to make a good point here somehow. In the next few weeks, I will just sit and wait for what will happen… maybe this is because of what Im feeling right now… I know Jen and Tonya know this, that I really want to see Danny again with meet and greet pass of course YAY! I just can’t wait for him to have a show here near to my place YAY!…
Some of you are real night owls!
Pam, don’t you ever sleep at all?
I’m just quickly reading the comments and then I had do some work before I’m leaving to see my relatives for a weekend.
As for Danny’s success I’m totally confident that Danny is doing great and he will become a big star. I knew it the second I heard him sing the first time.
Have a lovely weekend!

Hey Hannele! Good to see you here! i missed you alot here LOL!..
Twitter: JosieInSeattle
Gokeyguy, lol at the “not seeing Danny near to my area” syndrome! I think I might have that! But one of these days it will work out. I think things in general are on a good trajectory for Danny, he’ll be around for a long time. With the big success of his debut, he bought himself time to keep building his fan base. People love him wherever he goes (and even where he doesn’t go, ahem! just sayin’, lol!), so he’ll be picking up all kinds of new fans this summer as he tours.
I just want to say that I still feel the way that I do about the crticisms about lack of national promotions and everything else that some of the fans aren’t satisfied w/when it comes to Danny and they aren’t gonna change. It bothers me and that’s that. I’ve said enough about it already earlier on here.
But, on a good note, I will continue to be happy and support every great and awesome thing that’s gonna come his way. Doing the Sugarland shows and Lady A show in NY in August is a fabulous thing for him so I don’t see any problem w/that at all. I want the best for Danny, too, so I’m not gonna question anything he does. That’s it
Hi GG! It’s nice to talk to you as well. Due to the time difference we are hardly ever here at the same time. Loved your recap and always enjoy reading your comments.

Hi Hannele, yes I am a night owl; although not as much of one as Ellen and Marilynn- they come on when I’m leaving. Have a great time with your relatives this weekend. Still working on those CD’s
great so far!!!
GG- NY might be doable for you?- the Lady A show just mentioned today? And the price is right $20
Josie, you have done so much for Danny- you will get a great chance to see/meet him, I just know it.
Good night all.

Danielle – I know finally you’re talking about me. Don’t worry, I also want the best for Danny too and Im NOT questioning anything he does. I don’t want to get too PERSONAL on my viewpoints. Im just expressing what I want to say and Im not obligating anybody to agree on me or whatever. Sometimes, Some people here has a harsh/inappropriate/unnecessary TONE on their feelings and opinions but surprisingly, I fully respect whatever they say and not create more drama. Sometimes, some people just have opinions that have double meaning to it as if you’re the hater or anti-Danny… enough said! I love Danny as much as we all do here.

Well it has been a fangirl extravaganza over at mj’s tonight, lol! Don’t worry ihearties, Danny has done very well in the competition over there.
Hannele, have a wonderful time with your relatives this weekend!

Pam – who knows right? I will just wait for the right place and the right moment… again LOL! YAY! night Pam!
Gokeyguy- I get what you’re saying and it’s all good. I just can’t hold back my feelings when something doesn’t feel comfortable to me (via the criticisms, etc.) so I’m leaving it alone for the time being. For real.
So, just as I do w/everyone else’s opinion, I’ll listen and respect what you have to say as much as I can. All I care about is being a fan of Mr. Gokey and what’s coming his way. Nothing else
On that note, have a good night, y’all! Deuces <3

Thanks Pam, that is very nice of you to say, maybe so. But in any case, I like doing things to try to help him out a little. If I did meet him in person, I’d probably start talking to him about how he really should be using twitter more as a promotional tool, and he’d be thinking “OMG somebody bring me one of those women who just wants to tell me how cute I am!”.
Hi all peoples who love Danny.
It’s 11:20 here but you guys are already gone to bed, or maybe having your midnight snack? Anyways, just wanted to say I love hearing what is really on your mind, if it’s worry, that’s okay, and if it’s happy dancing that’s okay and Maryann’s pom poms flying.
Sometimes it’s therapeutic just to have a place to rant and rave, be frustrated, be sad, bored, or be thrilled because something incredible just happened. It’s all good. This is more than a place to find out Danny News.
Just think of those who have been ill, or facing surgery and were asked for our positive thoughts/prayers and so many of us responded to needs. We laugh with those who are laughing and uphold those who are crying. And encourage those who are facing other challenges, sometimes family, sometimes job related, often it’s about getting the opportunity to see or hug Danny.
It’s a place where I can hear the best of Danny videos and interviews, a place to get my Danny fix.
I love all of the Danny stories great and small and to hear what you all think. I even think it’s worthwhile to hear when someone doesn’t like what’s being said. All the comments that follow usually, here, results in a tempering of all thought.
Hope you all have a great night and a better tomorrow. I’m off to vote.

Bwahahahahaha, Josie! You crack me up! Confess… you’d tell him how cute he is (after all the statistics!)… I never had the pleasure but I’m guessing it’s impossible to look at him, face to face, and not have a voice screaming ‘OMG, he’s beautiful!’ inside your brain! And you’d be so flabbergasted by him that you wouldn’t be able to not say it out aloud. LOL!
Twitter: Owlki
The system usually classifies the unapproved comments as ‘spam’, that’s normal… but I just noticed that the system name the approved comments as ‘ham’. Bwahahahaha! OMG, what did I drink today to be in such a laughing fit? Bwahahaha!

LOL Erika, after I gave him my advice on his communications strategy, and asked him to kick NashvilleWyatt in the hiney, it might come up about how cute he is.

Marilyn, that was beautifully said, and very wise.
