    Finally a day without all the videos and recaps.I hope this mean Danny can have a break after a extremely busy week（well,more than a week）.And for all the nice person from Ihearts who surfer physically and the one who have a PC virus issue（As it’s too hard for me to remember all the English names,I just put it in this way）,hope everything goes well.

    Love those tweets from the Jeffrey Steele charity event. I truly believe that Danny’s live performances are the reason he was signed and the reason he is touring with Sugarland. It is also the reason RCA sent him out ot radio stations for 4 months (just like Darius Rucker who also has a fantastic voice). Danny WILL gain new fans because he can really sing. He IS the male Carrie Underwood in my opinion and that is the first time I have said that because I didn’t want to sound like a fangirl with unrealistic expectations.

    Great times for Danny. Just watched that Detroit video. I think that was the evening where someone posted the recap at mj’s saying she thought there were around a thousand people there, and how amazing Danny had sounded. You can’t see all that much of the crowd, but you surely can hear them. And Danny sounds good considering that was his last day in the big run of events for the album launch.

    Danny’s really kinda a country rock star right now :)

    (slight quibble: not loving that hat though for performing on stage :o )

    Steph I totally agree and well said last night your post at 5:33pm. I think someone on this site made a FAN TO DO list that we need to have posted again to remind all what we can do as fans to help Danny all the rest is up to him and his management team. I have to say that one of the reasons why I love this site is how passionately everyone expresses their ideas, views, care and concern for Danny. Its Only Love!
    In regards to the T-shirt I would love a Iheart T-shirt and I think the design on it should the the main page design above that Amy created on this site although my only suggestion would be different pictures since the ones above are from American Idol time and now there should be country artist Danny pictures which there are so many new beautiful pictures. After all Amy created this site for all fans. What do you think? otherwise all the above pictures are awesome too.
    I don’t want to name the person but there is an active member here who has a relative who is a printer or does this sort of stuff (I apoligize to that person if I wasn’t supposed to say anything). Also want to say that one of my first posts on this site was mentioning to have an Iheart T-shirt. Is there enough interest to make it a reality.     I am late also, lol, but had to get a good morning in!

    Steph, lol, its always back to the hair, here with us, isn’t it? :D I agree though, like him better without for a full concert; but we know he probably was starting to have bad hair days after his full week.

    It would be great if some songs went recurrent so Danny could get into the 20’s on the chart this week.

    He really is holding steady on iTunes, isn’t he? All new releases or really big (Keisha, GaGa, LadyA) above him. Although Mighty was so kind to let us know at AI forums he isn’t in the top 10 anymore. Ah, Mighty, he is just eating his words on his blog about Danny not accomplishing anything in Country.

    Well, Mighty- he’s already broken records for Country sales, if nothing else! Can’t ever take that away from him, lol!

    Lizzy, it warms my heart to see your cautious post now proclaiming Danny as the male Underwood. Others may not like when some of us are pragmatic or cautious, but you know what- when those posters proclaim success:

    Good morning, FOG, Steph, Pam, Toni and Lizzy! I loved the tweet from last night’s performance–seeing/hearing Danny live–the wow factor does come out! Where does he store that great big voice in that mid-sized body?

    This year’s idols just don’t seem to have the depth of last year’s contestants–so many are young/inexperienced. I think Danny and Adam brought something more to the show.

    That would be a great idea! I like the idea of taking the design from this page with Danny’s pictures on it and just using his new ones. Also, Betty or Billie mentioned the shirt being purple too, since that was Sophia’s favorite color. Maybe there should be two colors too. The guys might not want to buy a purple shirt. Since Amy said that it was okay with her I guess the next thing to do would be to see if that person that you know of, would ask the printer friend if they could make a sample and post it here to see what everyone thinks. I would love to have them being sold for a little over cost and the extra funds could then be donated to SHF. What do you all think?

    VickieCarole, the donation to SHF as part of the shirt sale is a great idea. We could have purple shirts in women sizes and black in mens. I really like the updated I<3 banner idea as the shirt identifier. We know that Danny really identifies with our support!

    And GokeyGuy–you will be blown away by meeting Danny, but he really tries to put his fans at ease by being so down to earth and sincere. And its ok for you to just stare at him–I'm sure he's seen that so much! However, he seems to take special attention to children and folks that "stand out" in the crowd. You'll do great if you just remember to stammer something about Iheart and perhaps lovin' "his style".

    Steph and Pam, I prefer the hatless Danny. Too much glasses and hat bill cover up his features–but, I know he likes to wear hats occasionally. I'd just prefer he'd wear contacts if he was going to wear a hat–or is that considered sacreligous as a DG fan?

    Finally, re D's use of "me and my wife". (Instead of My wife and I) I've corrected my grown kids on that usage for years with next to no beneficial result. I think its part of their generation. However, whenever I hear Danny use the "proper" use, I silently celebrate…..Jan

    I’ve always been attracted to men that wear glasses. It is the strangest thing.

    Someone said this before here, but there is something about the act of the glasses coming off, that is quite appealing.

    On that Rodeo Club video, I found it so sweet how Danny recounts with joy his special moment with Sophia. Really touched me.

    Now on to a totally superficial comment. I don’t know where Danny hides those arms. When I saw him, he appeared to be a smaller sized man. Either he is really working out, or he is magically hiding those guns. Sorry, but they do look great.

    Maryann, because Danny isn’t a big framed person, I think those great biceps/triceps generally fit under a normal sized shirt–altho on some jackets you can see the fabric gets tight/twists there when he moves.

    Morning all. Love the t-shirt idea. Funny how the second week numbers are what some were predicting for 1st week numbers.

    Funny story…I think I just converted the most difficult on the fence fan, my husband. He was not crazy about MBD, disliked It’s Only and thinks that IWNSG is too sappy. BUT he loves Get Away and Life On Ya. Hubby is a huge Montgomery Gentry and Toby Keith fan and these songs are right in his country music radar range. Point is, how many other country fans will jump on the Danny bandwagon because of these songs. Mark Bright is brilliant. Give a little taste to all the different varieties of country music fans, Rascal Flatts/Contemporary Christian/and sh#$# kickin country. Hubby also likes heavy metal (yes, we are eclectic) and when I told him that one of the writers of Get Away played with Megadeath (big heavy metal group) that just sealed the deal.

    Connie, that was great!!! Thanks! Believe it or not, I had never seen that Danny clip (which gives me hope there’s more to enjoy out there!) I loved how he was giving the pedicurist pointers on what he wanted them to do, LOL! And the brushing of his eyelashes, so fun.

    Like all of us, there’s aspects of his likes/dislikes that surprise his fans. I was surprised that he loved horses. Who would have figured he was exposed to horses? Altho, my husband grew up in a worse neighborhood than Danny (also in Milwaukee) and he’s a really great horseman. So, it just goes to show, we shouldn’t try to categorize people. jan

    VC, Toni, Jannikas, etc.: The T-shirt doesn’t have to be purple; any design might not show up on a purple background. White with purple lettering would do. I mentioned purple because I thought I read somewhere it was Danny’s favorite color. And I know it was his tour color. We’d probably need to keep the design simple to keep costs reasonable. Love the idea of using the logo above. (Free advertising for Amy!) If we’re serious about this, we probably need to get an estimate of who is interested, because that will make it easier to get an estimate of the cost. Also, I thought Connie might have been interested in a T-shirt at one point. I know she is focused on her PT right now. Does she lurk?

    And, NO, I did not give birth to him at 16.

    I remember almost being were you were this time last year. It is tough getting through all that PT and getting back to real life tasks after knee surgery. I do hope things are progressing well for you.

    Take it slow, and remember to keep icing after you exercise it. It will come back, it is only a matter of time. I was really surprised to learn how long it would take me to truly get the knee back to where it was (never got 100%). My orthopedist made it seem so typical. Since then, I have learned their is no typical.

    That’s so weird that you all are talking about feet and toes today. My son’s friend was just making fun of his toes. I told her that it was hereditary and we all have different looking feet. My son gets his toes from his Dad. Danny has sweet looking feet, just like the rest of him.

    Connie, Congrats on converting your husband. Since your husband is already a country music fan, that says a lot about Danny’s album pleasing the hard core Country Fans.

    I voted for the Chris Young guy yesterday, the one Danny said was his label mate and was up for the ACM Top New Solo Vocalist and he wanted us to vote for him. I wonder if he won. Danny has a lot of influence with his voters. If he says do something, we all do it.

    Hey guys! How is your doing going so far?
    Just took a nap i was really tired so i really needed, i was in classes when i received a message from my bf it said “your CD has arrived” and i was like “yeah :D ” and huge smile girl who was sitting next to me made a weird face LOL the CD was delivered at my bf’s house so i can’t wait for him to arrive here with my CD!!!! :D I think in an hour i will have it in my hands! Amazon estimated it would be delivered around 2nd April glad it arrived much earlier.

    I’m going to catch up the news and read the comments

    Vickie, my daughter did meet Danny in Grafton. I have a picture of her hugging Danny Gokey—And I may use it when she gets on my case too much! But she’s not liking her mom being obsessed. So she’s trying to get me to back off. Good luck on that, girl…..I just told her i bought her a ticket anyway. In addition,she had a “bad” boyfriend that loved country music, so I think she has an aversion to the country “label”.

    Why is it that our kids can be obsessed with artists and it’s okay, but when we, the Moms starts to get “obsessed” it’s a major deal. I had that same problem with one of my daughters. She thought it was weird of me to be so involved and interested in Danny’s life/career.

    HI! I am home for just about half hour this is not Danny news but thought I would share tonight is Carrie Underwood concert locally and after her show Carrie and Craig for one hour starting at 11pm eastern time they will be on wgna.com click on Listen Live if you are interested.
    This morning on the same radio station the Nashville reporter that calls the radio station daily talked about Danny Gokey, SHF in Nashville starting a Community Choir from yesterday announcement and he mentioned that the Governor and the Mayor were present also. All were very impressed with the program that Danny has created and that he has a great start to his career. So proud of Danny for his dedication in making this dream also a reality. Regarding the T-shirts Yes Amy does definitely need to approve this and in my opinion I think the logo on this page above is the best design but maybe with more recent pictures but of course there are copyright issues and etc to deal with also. I do believe the printer is willing to do this for the ihearts but he really needs to be the one to coordinate this with Amy if she gives the go ahead. I will be offline for awhile. Toni

    You know, Bucky Covington’s song, “Gotta Be Somebody” doesn’t sound anything like Danny’s “Be Somebody” song. Some poster on another site was saying that it was a copy of Bucky’s song. He apparently didn’t even listen to Danny’s song. The only thing that is similar is the titles to the two songs.

    I wasn’t actually thinking about photos. I’m okay with any T-shirt that identifies us as ihearties. But if we used photos of Danny taken by ihearties (and I think some of us have some good pictures), that should take care of the copyright problem. At this point, Danny would be considered a public figure, so there shouldn’t be any problem with the fact that pictures were taken. Danny does still have the right to control the use of his image. But as long as the photos don’t depict Danny in a false light and the T-shirts aren’t sold for profit, it should be legal. If the T-shirts are sold at cost, no problem. And if any amount over cost is donated to SHF, I can’t imagine that anyone could object.

    I could ask Danny about it on Wednesday if I get an opportunity to talk with him (which I kinda doubt).

    So Danny will sell 25-30k predicted this week; this is usually what is expected for a new artist; a 50-60% drop in first week sales.

    He is #17 overall this am when I checked iTunes and #3 still in Country, which is great. Single slid out of top 10 though for country.

    Sounds like the fundraiser yesterday went very well. New fans are good!

    I won’t be able to watch/listen to the Opry, still working; but hopefully someone can tape for us. Thanks in advance if anyone is able!

    Hi guys,

    First off, I would like to apologize if I hurt anyone yesterday by my comments.

    But we all share love for Danny and sometimes I feel like it is almost my duty to protect him even when really no protection is needed. If I ever wanted to be a bodyguard for someone, it is definitely Danny.

    My amazon CD order came in today. YAAAAYYYY. The scent of the booklet gives me a headache though. Danny looks so pensive on the photos inside. I think they truthfully reflect who he is.

    Being of a different religion, I also like his acknowledgment and that fact that he thanks Heavenly Father. That’s a definite bridge between religious differences.

    Guys, this season is Tim’s to lose. He only needs to be average and mediocre and he will win this. Seems to me the producers want their own Zac Efron $$$. I do not care because Danny is no longer there.

    Evening all!

    Just wanted to stop by and say we have some more news! 6th UK station has been in contact wanting to play Danny Gokey. So great that the stations over here are getting behind him! Such nice people out there and great that they are responding so positively to the campaign – if anyone wants to help or get involved, please let me know.

    Also, Country Weekly in the US – their editor has given us permission to post their article on http://www.dannygokeyeurope.com – we cant get the actual magazine over here so this is the next best thing.

    Finally, been chatting to the author of an article on Danny Gokey which will appear in a UK Country Magazine – will hopefully be able to post this article too so will keep you all updated!

    I felt that yesterday I was treated like a Danny hater when I’m a Danny lover just like the rest of you. Although we all think (including me) that the way Danny talks sometimes is endearing, realistically, there are times when it won’t be endearing.

    It was obvious that some of you jumped on the bandwagon with an opinion without having read my original post and the conversation took on a whole different spin. Speaking proper English is something to aspire to, especially if you are going to be a public figure, not something to make excuses for not doing or something to ridicule.

    I think that Danny might be able to hit 100,000 in CD sales in the next 2-3 weeks. If he sells between 25,000-30,000 CD sales this week, and then at least 5,000-10,000 the following week, he should be able to sell 100,000 CDs. That would be nice to see. :)

    I’m not sure what his sales rate will be in the next few weeks, especially after the help from Idol wears off, but I think that he will be able to at least sell 100,000 in the next few weeks.

    Hi everyone, that is toooo funny with Danny’s toes and his pedicure. He is cute there, think he has changed seen then is a total hunk now and very handsome. I got one of those called a son….Matthew.

    Bosman, I really forgot about it, we all have strong opinions sometimes but think we all understand because it is about Danny. I got a little cared away myself not that long ago about repeating all this (crap) hate about Danny. Just hoped everyone understood and I have not mentioned or repeated any of it since and do not plan to. We are all human after all and forgetting and forgiving should be an important character in us all. Think you have that on this site….the goal is to LOVE on Danny.

    Tonight is date night so a bunch of us are getting together for a fish fry and a beer. So I will miss the live feed at 5:30 but I plan to listen on line tomorrow night for the Opry. Think this time Danny knows what to expect and not be so nervous just excited they have asked him back so soon.

    Betty, appreciate you input and I see how deeply you care. You could never be a hater, even if you wanted to. :) And you are right to a certain degree. But when it comes to grammar there are so many shades of gray.

    Speaking as an interpreter (that has been my bread and butter for the past 15 years), I can say that language and human speech in particular, is a living, evolving thing and serves only to externalize what’s inside.

    You are right that some phrasing Danny uses is considered ungrammatical. But it is ungrammatical only because some linguists decided what is to be considered ungrammatical and thus “wrong.”

    The worst thing that could happen is that somebody is conscious of speaking outside the grammatically accepted standard and starts correcting oneself during the speech or an interview. That would be a major downer.

    And sometimes, as you rightly pointed out, some people will not perceive ungrammatical things as something chummy or endearing, but there is not much one can do about it. One cannot change the inner self just for the sake of pleasing “prim and proper” people. It is impossible to please everybody. If he pleases them, he will annoy other people for being prim and proper. There is always a fine balance to strike and I think Danny is striking it just fine. :)

    Aw Claudia, I also got mine today. However, I tore up my white sticker that was on the top side. It was glued so tight. It prevented me from opening, I got impatient and tore it up with my pencil.

    Luckily, I did not crack the plastic while I was yanking it. :)

    Thanks Cheryl! Its great that we are actually making a difference – thats what I am so excited about. Danny has been lovely about it all – really supportive and helpful. Just hope that one day we do get to see him live – I am sure he will be here at some point – and he now has a headstart on his European Media campaigns! Couldnt do it without UK gang (esp Carole) and Allan (Denmark) and Claudia (Portugal) – so much more fun all doing this together.

    Still remember talking to Carole months back and thinking about trying to speak to radio stations to get Danny played – we couldnt have imagined that it would work as well as it has!!

    VickieCarol Try downloading that media player again. Even if you have a windows media player, maybe you need it updated. I had to do that on another occasion when I was trying to watch live streaming video.

    Hope Danny will be back on the livestream, didn’t someone above say there was an interview and then maybe his performance? [ I had to load Firefox and a separate media player plug-in to get it working :( Not sure what it is with these livestreams, they seem really hit or miss as to how to get them working. ]

    Danny’s still #30 on the mediabase chart and up a good amount of spins. He seems to be a couple of hundred points ahead of the Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert new songs. I hope that’s enough buffer to keep Danny in the top 30 for the weekly wrapup chart as he may miss some spins from the extra Crook & Chase spins he got last weekend when they aired MBD and his interview.

    I’d guess both Miranda and Jason will move up quickly and pass Danny within the next week or so. Toby Keith also has one coming up but it’s only at #40 for now. But seems like Toby’s current song and maybe songs by Darius Rucker and/or Kellie Pickler could go recurrent.

    About the LKGG comment… Could be my imagination, but I believe Danny is purposely modifying the manner in which he speaks. Lots of ‘country’ artist and personalities do this. Could be, that it helps to promote him as a regular man.

    Re Danny’s “glory notes” on the CD:

    They are incredible; I wish there were more! But then they wouldn’t be special I guess.

    I wanted to say that when you hear those woohs at the end of Get Away you may wonder if they were autotuned, but they weren’t; he did them twice (sang the end of Get Away again as a short encore) at Turner Hall and they sounded exactly like the CD version <3

    That was a nice interview and Life On Ya sounded great. I think the other guitar player was doing harmony also, sounded good. Danny seems happy and when she made the comment about him being energetic and that she had needed a “shot of Danny Gokey”, he laughed and said it was easier since he had had some rest, something like that.

    Yesterday I wasn’t able to stop by WalMart. Rode to town with a friend. When I got home I called WalMart and asked if they had any Danny Gokey CD’s. The man said if I had 10 minutes I could look for you. But I said he should be on the debut rack because he’s new. I just wanted to know if they had them. I do want to buy a couple more for gifts.

Don`t know if I have to go into moderation-but, just wanted to say a HUGE thankyou to all you wonderful ihearties, for all your concern, virus tips! I`ve missed being here-Looks like I may lose everything on my account, my photos and all my contacts-Laptop goes in Monday-Very upset about that- The only `link` that I clicked on prior to the massive `virus alert` was the one Suz gave(sorry Suz!) on Monday/Tuesday to the yummy photos at IdolForums, it has to be that-and the photos were Sooo gorgeous-but I wish I hadn`t gone there!! ELLEN, when you come on, I have sent an email from daughter`s account-maybe someone can tell her? We only just got back in touch-now I can`t use my email, typical- Glad Gemma came on(DannyGokeyUK) She`s been such a good friend through all this- I`m amazed by what we have all achieved-Daughter has been very sick, had blood tests, and I have to have some, too-got a really nasty mouth and throat infection-but not as nasty as the computer viruses lol!     Hi Carole, I’m so sorry about your PC problem, that is so painful when it happens. On the livestream, it was great to see Danny’s interview and to see him sing Life On Ya. But they made it sound as if they were going to show him perform his set. But then they turned off the sound and they disappeared, and when they came back and turned the sound back on, Danny was partway through his set and you could just hear him in the background (sometimes) but they were all talking over it. But it’s nice to get to see him on a livestream at all, I just wish they had at least showed us the part that they watched themselves.

    I could barely hear him singing in the background – but his voice is so recognizable and warms the heart.

    This morning I opened my newspaper and there was Danny’s sweet face on page 2 (sigh)…oh yeah, and a brief paragraph about his new deal with the optical company.

Doubt the Kris fans will be too keen on his being mentioned last as just a “dark horse” with no praise for his abilities in an article that singles out Adam, Danny, Allison, Anoop, Megan, Matt and even Michael and Alexis from last year’s crop of finalists.

    Pam Interesting about the whole autotune question. Danny is fully aware that haters have ben saying he is autotuned. Danny said at one of his performances “no autotune” right before he sang one of his songs. I think people are still stuck on stupid about the dream on scream and they like to pretend that Danny can’t hit big notes. He has proven them wrong many times over!

    Hi Carole,

    May I give you a little advice regarding your computer? In my experience in fixing computers that has been infected by viruses, almost 99% the data ca be recovered, contacts, emails, pictures, music, etc.

    Unless, the hard drive failed, that is the only reason one can’t recover the data.

    The computer tech that will fix your computer can clean your computer by booting from an external device, USB, CD/DVD or another hard drive. From these external device it can scan your computer’s hard disk and clean the virus. He/she can copy your files too and fully recover all your data.

    Always ask for second opinion, sometimes some tech guys are lazy to do the tedious job of data recovery and just do clean install.

    I hope this helps.

    Carole; I second Ana’s advice.

    I paid to have AVG fix mine remotely- I had to pay for it ($100 I think) but I didn’t lose any data; they were very nice, competent and fast. Everytime in the past I took it in to the local shop they were lazy just like Ana said and wiped out everything to start anew.

    Steph; well I put one foot forward and gave my opinion on DGO. Will probably be blasted, but that is ok; I know everyone doesn’t share my opinion and think the same, but I just kind of feel strongly about the whole thing and put myself out there. Making a list of birthdays for Danny to DM people? Not so much……

    Steph, went to Danny’s website via your link about birthday DMs. Gotta say I think it’s a lousy idea for many reasons. Like Danny doesn’t have anything better to do than DM his fans! And is anyone else creeped out about compiling a list of Danny’s fans and their birthdates — even without the year? (BTW, I saw on the site to vote for Chris Young that GAC wanted everyone’s birthday, including the year. I lied.)

    Anyway, I noticed in the “Upcoming Events” section that Danny will be at radio station KWJJ on March 17th. I’m pretty sure that 99.5 The Wolf in Portland. I’m guessing it’s a private performance for the DJs? And it’s so funny how the entry says 0 people attended the KUPL event (Bushwhackers), but if you click on it, it says the event is sold out!

    I saw that Danny is #10 on Amazon and #3 on the Country albums chart over there. He was #15 earlier today, he went up some. I am glad to see Danny still hanging onto the Top 20 on both Itunes and Amazon. I had thought that he might experience a large drop on both charts, glad to see him still hanging in there.

    Jan, there’s great wine to be tasted in WA state too! I live in Woodinville (one of Seattle’s eastside communities) and it has quite a few very good wineries. Chateau Ste. Michelle is just a short drive from my house, for example. And Red Hook Brewery is right across the street from there, for any beer lovers in the crowd. There are lots of smaller/emerging wineries here too.

    I think that Danny’s rankings on Amazon and Itunes are a good indication that he’s still selling well. I think that sometimes high rankings on Itunes are indications of good sales for artists.

    I do think that we will see him hit 100,000 some time in the next 2-3 weeks. That will be great when that happens.

    I believe Franklin is out in western NC, I think several hours away from me. I live in Eastern NC. I don’t think that I’ll attend that show but if he comes back to NC again, maybe some place in Eastern NC/closer to me like Wilmington, then I could see him perform. I think that a lot of country acts do visit places like NC often so hopefully I will get a chance to see him perform some day.

    I haven’t yet read the rest of today’s posts but wanted to get this in first before I go back to read them. I have imagined this somewhat realistic scenario of Danny’s near future (within the next year or less)–culminating in a particular imaginary (but wholly possible) event–that would not only melt his fans into hopeless quivering pools of jello but at the same time catapult Danny to a level of superstardom beyond what can even be imagined by us right now.

    In my imagined scenario, Danny is presently or in the very near future already skirting around the edges of a new relationship with a beautiful brunette country singer (not a famous one), but they are definitely flirting and unbenownst to them are about to fall in love. They are already falling down the slippery slope from flirtatious banter and sexually charged friendship to something much deeper. Danny and his new lady friend will try to keep things quiet for awhile but soon rumors will start to leak, but Danny, having learned some skills about not saying too much, will not confess anything to the media. Of course he is bad at keeping things under the radar so more leaks will get out and soon everyone will be talking and speculating about Danny being in a relationship.

    The CMA awards loom and Danny is nominated for several categories, including Best New Artist and Best Album/song. Dressed in a dapper tuxedo, a pale lavender shirt, and his signature long coat over that, he attends the event with his friend and for the first time they are seen with their arms around each other, gazing into each other’s eyes, no longer keeping their feelings a secret from the nosy paparazzi.

    Danny is announced as the winner of the Best New Artist category, and choking back tears, approaches the stage to receive his award. He gives a tearful speech thanking everyone who has helped him achieve all his dreams, including Sophia, and his fans. Finally he says there is one more person he wants to thank–and says his girlfriend’s name. He asks her to join him onstage. A hush fills the room and the beautiful young woman shyly comes up on stage to join him. He hugs her for a long time, and finally takes both her hands in his and says there is something he wants to do right then during the happiest moment of his life. He pulls a small box from his coat pocket and opens it there and trembling and in already in tears, places it on her finger. He tells her he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and have a family with her, and although he will always love Sophia, he is ready to start anew. Tears streaming down both their faces, she says yes, and they embrace and kiss right on stage. They, and the entire audience, is in tears, and entertainment history has been made. The media is abuzz the next day with the event, and Danny suddenly finds himself catapulted to stardom no one could even have imagined before this happened.
    Okay, I know this was sappy and overlong and it probably won’t happen this way, but if that ever happened I would die a thousand times. But you never know.     Franklin is in western North Carolina, and that is the show I will be attending with my friend Jen (I owe her a big favor so I bought her a ticket–and she’s a huge Danny fan too).
    If you or anyone else want to join us I suggest you order tickets ASAP from the Franklin Center for the Performing Arts. I do not know if this is posted yet. I found them online and ordered two tickets. They are only $25 a pop and it is Danny solo. But hurry because it is selling out fast.

    Suz, I think you have a very active imagination! LOL! :-D I think this time around, he would do the pop-the-question thing privately, especially if his intended is in the industry as well. But Danny does kinda want to embrace the whole world, so you never know!

    Steph, The link that you posted with True Country, was it recorded today? If not it’s just old information, but I thought I heard Danny say that he was going back on AI. Did I just hear that wrong? Wouldn’t that be great if he was going to perform again on AI?

    The caption says it was done at the CRS event, which was the week before Danny’s album lauch and visit to AI9.
    But I do hope Danny will get to come back on AI9, for IGB perhaps.

    Oh, Now I have gotten my hopes up for nothing. I sure hope he does go back on Idol, soon. Maybe he will be on for the Idol gives back show. If we knew the date for that show, we could look at his schedule and see if he was free that night. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for that to happen.

    Pam- that will involve a whole lot of begging w/that. Plus, the truck that my mother always drives probably wouldn’t make it all the way to Nashville b/c it has break trouble sometimes, so I have to plan something out carefully :-)

    Watched that true country interview. Don’t blame the lady for blushing and going gaga during that…lol…go ‘head girl! :-)

    Huh? Danny is making another appearance on AI9? Idol Gives Back? Please do tell!

    I really hope he does! He needs another boost.

    One more thing I forgot to add to my scenario above: when she accepts his proposal, the entire room stands up and gives them both a standing ovation. Yes, I guess you could say I am a romantic. Always have been. LOL

    Ugh, I hate Rihanna’s song Umbrella. It’s playing on VH1 now. Time to change channels.

    False alarm on my part. I watched the interview True Country, and thought that it was a new video. He had said on it that he was going back on AI. It was apparently taped last week before his AI appearance. I just bummed myself out. I’m still hoping for another appearance on AI though. Fingers crossed…

    The reason I thought it was taped today was the Mar. 12th date on the video. I assumed it was the date it was recorded, not the date that it was posted. They must really be slow when posting their interviews.

    Bosman–
    I don’t know if I told you recently how much I appreciate your posts and your being here. You have such a beautiful way with words and even if your views may be more pessimistic than some of ours about how Danny is being handled by his label and 19, your heart is definitely in the right place and your deep love of Danny and respect for him as a human being is evident. People can disagree–life would be boring if we all had the same opinions–but the bottom line is we all have a deep love and respect for this wonderful and talented man. He is living his life to the fullest and his best days are ahead of him.
    I love the way you write, and always appreciate your viewpoints.
    I think Lee is going to really surprise us this season. As with Danny, I see ENORMOUS potential. Unlike the other guys, he has such passion. I don’t think we’ve seen everything he’s capable of yet. I think he will have an OMFG amazing performance soon. My prediction is that he will come in third–like Danny, because I can’t at this point see him beating Crystal or Siobhan. But you never know! But even if he’s third–I think this time it won’t feel so bad as it did with Danny because there’s a lot of advantages to not winning. Still…would love to see him win.

    Bosman, Tim will not win. Hell will freeze over first. I think he’ll be voted off in 7th or 8th place, like Sanjaya in S6. He has the Disney-set votes and the cute looks but that can only take him so far. I’m not a Kris fan, but Kris does have more talent than Tim. I like Tim though because I think he’s funny and cute with all the surprised faces he makes. He knows he doesn’t deserve to be there.

    Bosman, I totally agree with your comment earlier about Dannys head voice (upper register). He’s got one of the strongest sounds I’ve ever heard in all my years singing/playing.

    Hi everyone! I’ve been out of the loop for the past few days, because I’m spending some time with my family in Texas, so sorry if this has already been addressed. But here it is:

    I AM SO ANNOYED WITH WAL-MART!!!

    When I went to try to pick Danny’s CD up at Wal-Mart in Rockford, it was March 4th, and they didn’t have it. The salesperson said, “Sometimes we get new releases a little late.”

    I ended up getting it at Best Buy (it was sold out at Target.)

    Well, down here in Texas, I wanted to buy one for my mom. She LOVES Danny’s voice, and I’ve played her a few songs off the CD and she loves them.

    At Wal-Mart in Round Rock, Texas, there was no Danny CD.

    So I asked someone about it and they looked on the computer. “Says here it’s only available on Walmart.com.”

    I just asked very pointedly, “WHY?”

    The guy replied, somewhat huffily, “Because the stores have limited space, and walmart.com has vast resources.”

    I think it’s ridiculous that you can’t buy a Danny Gokey CD at a Wal-Mart, when his debut was the best-selling country album by a male artist in 18 years. What the heck!?!

    And is it the same at other Wal-Marts? Because if so, wouldn’t physical sales of the CD been a lot higher if people could go into their Wal-Mart store and buy it?

    It is just REALLY annoying.

    Thanks rowansmom, I enjoyed reading your scenario earlier and I am so glad you get to go to Danny concert. :)

    Great to learn that DC will be on next week results.

    Billie, it is not only the strength of Danny’s sound that impresses me. Yes, strength is there and that is impressive, but rather it is the transfer between the straight, flat tone and the tone with vibrato. In high notes, Danny usually starts with a straight tone and then infuses some vibrato in it. It is so pleasing. :)

    No wonder I consider Danny as my best male vocalist.
