I mostly agree, Erika. I like Adam’s CD well enough. It’s good workout music. But I think it’s a sin that someone with his vocal abilities is so overproduced. I know that’s the thing in his genre, but it’s a shame. I can barely hear his voice, which is the real thing that makes him unique. Not the hair or makeup, or controversial statements.

Like Danny, Adam has the vocal chops to be able to do acoustic versions of his songs and sound good. Not every singer can. But other than that . . . Well, we all know why Danny is special.

I gotta say that if Adam had made an album with songs like the way he sang on Sunrise, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. That’s the way I like his voice, Mad World or Track Of My Tears style. I really dislike the way the album actually is, though, the disco vibe thing.

Gotta go watch Kitchen Nightmares and spend some time with sis.

Yes. I wrote it. 4000 plus words, every bit of it. A couple of years work.

Glad you are still working and sorry you don’t feel confident that you will be there like maybe next year. That is a very hard spot to be in. A lot of others are facing the same thing, but it doesn’t make it any easier to know that.

Thank you Erika that’s the one I was talking about. Ellen go there and watch. I’m almost a Adam convert after see that. No way would I go see something though like he put on TV at the awards. It was too trashy for me.

Marilyn, good writers know how to edit. I can’t talk a lot about my job on a public site like this, but I have learned a LOT about editing through my work.

At this point, as far as I know, there are no immediate plans for further layoffs. But that could change in a heartbeat. I still feel like my life is on “hold.”

Let me make sure I’m reading your post correctly. Are you the author of the historical?

Drat, I wish we had e-mail or tweeted. Lots of stuff I don’t feel comfortable talking about in public.

Oh you asked me about writing?

I used to have a weekly column in the local newspapers and I always did a human interest piece on a local peep. I stopped when I was managing the museum gift shop at the Park near here.

Also, I contributed to a slick magazine that’s local.

Almost finished with a historical Christian romance. Takes place in the gold rush. Pretty much finished but need to tweak the last couple of chapters.

Also have an idea loosely for a sequel, and I need to get busy, I’ve been playing hookey for almost a year. I don’t know why, just quit working.

But doing my recap, I sit up all night doing it. (I rewrite a lot.) I like the term to write is to rewrite. I really liked it and need to get back. Sometimes I think that my love affair with Danny in some ways is like an ostrich sticking it’s head in the sand. I need to get back some with my life.

It was from something Erika posted about Danny. Shoot, I can’t remember the blog site. I went down to the end of the page and there was the video of Adam. He really looked “sane” to me for a change. haha. I haven’t been a big fan, but he really was very good in that segment. Did a very good job.

Owlki might know. If I find it again, I’ll let you know. How’s work? Still working?
