    Hello Dannyland! What a great morning it has been. After reading yesterday’s comments I decided to check whether the ITunes Store in Finland had Danny’s CD and there it was! I bought it immediately and could hardly wait the CD download on my laptop. Finnish ITunes don’t have the digital booklet and I wasn’t able to view it in US ITunes store.. As I’m stuck at home due to the public transportation starting a strike, I’ve been listening to Danny’s CD all day (Pam, I’m still really looking forward to receiving the special CD from you with all the lovely photos of Danny).

    Feeling over the moon for the chart success and can’t not wait how Danny’s CD will sell outside of digital sales.

    I was somewhat surprised of my reactions to some of the songs. I was so sure that my absolute favourite would be “Crazy Not To” after hearing the short clip of the song several times, but I definitely got most emotional when listening to the beautiful long versions of “It’s Only” and “IWNSGB”. Danny’s voice in those two songs is so beautiful.. The song that I like least is “I Still Believe”. This CD is such a high quality product and we can be so proud of Danny! How often do you get a new artist who is able to produce such a great first CD.

    Aw, I am so happy this morning. :)

    Amazon informed me that my “order has shipped.” I do not have itunes, but YAY, I am so happy the album is finally out, even though I have to wait a dozen or so days longer.

    I hope Danny can now relax, knowing that his album is going to be a success.

    I wrote this over on roughstock site for the reivew:

    While he was on AI, I noticed that Danny exhibited a rare ability to express diametrically-opposite emotions simultaneously. It is that rare ability to make you feel happy yet sad, desperate yet hopeful, strong yet vulnerable at the same time.

    I wondered if he would be able to pull the same thing off in his debut album. I am quite satisfied that he did. I Will Not Say Goodbye is one such example – the song is an emotional tour-de-force. It makes you feel exhausted, yet strangely fills your batteries. Even the happy, uplifting ones such as Get Away and Life on Ya vocally display a sense of urgency, a plea to live life to the fullest.

    As a non-Christian (Muslim), I certainly applaud him staying true to what he stands for without excluding anyone from his intrinsically universal message.

    I looked at Itunes first thing this morning when I got up and I think I’m gonna cry. I was so thrilled that his album is #1 on country and #3 overall. Danny’s fans are the best.

    Hi Lizzy, I’m really happy as well and let’s hope that the digital sales are indicating great total sales for Danny’s CD. As we have discussed so many times before Danny most likely has a lot of fans who don’t buy music in digital form, but like to buy the actual CD format.

    So far I only listened to snippets and I know I am going to love each song and have them on repeat all the time.

    So happy that Danny’s hard work is finally paying off. :)

    Downloaded last night and have the cd on loop on my ipod. Stephanie said it best on MJ – “it surely is amazing what 10 or 20 fans can do for a performer.” Makes me think that with hard work anything is possible. Ihearters don’t ever forget that all of you should be congratulated and giving cyber high fives for sticking by him, calling the stations, buying the cd. Cyber high fives to everyone. Special high five for Erika and Amy, where would Danny be without you? You are very special people.

    Is it very different compared to the other uptempo songs on the CD? I assume it’s a uptempo song due to having such a title.

    What a wonderful day for Danny! What a wonderful day for all of his fans!
    I haven’t received my CD in the mail yet but I got my download from ITunes along with the digital book. I listened to the album in a continual loop the entire night! I am so happy for Danny’s ranking in ITunes! I just know once people hear his songs his fan base will grow in leaps and bounds!

    I just got off http://www.sophiasheart.org. I donated to the foundation in celebration of Danny’s CD. This was Danny and Sophia’s dream and it has come true for Danny. I wanted to Donate to SHF as a way to acknowledge that Sophia is a part of Danny’s success. I encourage everyone to give if they can.

    I took off work today, also in celebration of this wonderful day. Woohoo!

    Good morning everyone! I was planning to go back to work today, but had to call in sick again as I’m still feeling rotten and my voice is almost gone (NOT a good thing for a DJ!)

    I was going to go out and buy Danny’s CD today, but don’t know if i’ll be able to now. I’m going to get it ASAP…I love all the songs.

    Like all of you, I’m hoping the digital sales will bode well for his overall sales. But whatever happens, I know that Danny Gokey will have a wonderful career. YAY!!!!

    I always say I would be so happy if Danny makes a Christmas album or a specifically Christian album. I may not agree with the message 100 percent, but his vocal skills are second to none.

    Hannele we all love Danny so muchhh!!! he is so full of life!! richness pours out of his spirit!! the comment in regards to Danny being a CCM singer is just a little off and misleading, he is definitely a very spiritual person but love is his mainstay; therefore, he speaks that universal language of love in his music!! his music is targeted towards the massess. Unfortunately, some of the media outlets are on the same bandwagon and mantra about Danny singing Country with a CCM infusion!! Danny is singing a broad appeal Modern Country with elements of spirituality, soulfullness, inspiration and pure fun infused in it!! this is very dynamic and carries a great deal of substance!! hooray for Danny!!

    So tired after being up late with the excitement last night! Tried to sleep in a little but no luck.

    Bosman, thank you so much for being such a loyal Danny fan. The input you gave at roughstock is invaluable; you are very eloquent and I think it is great you mentioned being Muslim and not being offended by Danny’s vague christian leanings on a few songs!
    Maybe on his second CD they will stop trying to put him in a box. But Danny will never stop trying to help people (not matter the personal ridicule he may take for it) so he will always be accused of preaching I think.

    Mr. Bing, it is great, isn’t it!

    Hannele, Erika, your CDs were mailed yesterday. Hannele, “The Coach” is an iTunes bonus song only; its not on the hard CDs.

    Question from yesterday — does anyone know how the CMT Top 20 countdown works, can we vote as many times as we want? I wasn’t sure what they meant by the comment about “you can only vote once so make it count.” Is that meaning you can only vote for one video, or one total time for anything each week?

    My guess it that they allow multiple votes, otherwise they would have prevented them like GAC.

    I guess thinking about it, if we have to make a mistake the first time through for the Top 20, it would be better to overachieve by spamming it with votes showing support for Danny, than to try to be prudent and have him get hardly any if that’s not how it is meant to work.

    But power-voting at two different sites is going to require some work. May have to adopt Bosman’s technique and use more than one window. In addition to the trick to use the “find” window so you don’t have to scroll to Danny’s name, another I noticed with IE8 is that you can put the vote link in your Favorites bar and just click on that to reopen the voting page, vs. going to the link on the left which speeds it up a little.

    Rickey posted something saying “Could Danny save Season 8″ and got some comments saying it was “mean” to say that. I’m not sure what they find mean about it–are they Danny fans thinking he’s being sarcastic, or Adam/Kris fans feeling threatened by that remark? I’m not sure. So I posted something defending Rickey, who always seemed on the fence about Danny:

    I’m a Danny fan, and I don’t see anything that mean in Rickey’s comment. I don’t think it was sarcastic, but even if it was, I think it’s a real possibility he could wind up being season 8’s biggest success story. That should shut up all the haters who said he would never sell. Anyway, I always had a lot of faith that he would do well, and am thrilled that he is #3 on iTunes overall and #1 in Country. I think he could possible hit #1 overall after this Thursday’s performance on Idol. Go Danny!

    On the season 8 thread at David Cook Official, Danny is getting some love for a change! (They always hated Adam the most anyway, usually just ignore Danny). There’s some buzz about his numbers and so far, no snarky comments about it. The consensus seems to be that he deserves his success and has worked hard for it. Yay!

I think that it’s wonderful that he’s as high as he is on the Itunes chart.     Suz, I think that Rickey means saving season 8 in the sense of the relatively low sales of the other three albums released in the fall. Seems to me though with time, Kris and Adam have some things to brag about – Kris’s single is near going gold or platinum, forget which. And Adam’s album has gone gold.

    But no huge or breakout sales this year.

    Danny sounds just a little hoarse in the high ranges of IWNSG in that Atlanta show. I noticed that once or twice last night, also. Hope he will be able to take care of his voice with everything going on this week, with AI9 coming up and the Turner Hall concert. For AI9, MBD seems to me to be one of Danny’s easier songs to sing so hopefully that won’t be any issue.

    VickieCarol, yes, that’s Def. It’s a little mysterious as they haven’t announced a new guitar player but this new person has been with Danny since last week. Def said he was going home to do some things before moving to Nashville.
    Not clear what that means, especially in combination with Def tweeting a while ago about practicing and practicing for an important rehearsal for Danny’s band, that had us wondering if he had to audition to be part of the major touring appearances.

    The USA Today Review said, and he likely won’t challenge George Strait, Toby Keith or Kenny Chesney for supremacy in the genre. Well, I beg to differ. Don’t underestimate Daniel J. Gokey.

    I’m not sure why everyone seems to put even the Country music genre into a box either. They say things like, well you need to have a southern accent or you need to have grown up on a farm. That’s ridiculous to me. Country music has come a long way since the traditional country songs of the past. It’s Country/Pop, or crossover music these days.

    I thought Brian’s review was very good.

    And in all fairness even though I love Danny, I agree about Be Somebody. I do like it, but its my least favorite, and really doesn’t sound country in the least. But that’s ok, and I know some love it.

    Brian can’t be too much of a fangirl, you know he has a reputation to protect :)

    That is pretty funny that an ADAM fan could be jealous of the minimal PR DAnny might be getting! He has been shoved in our faces everywhere! Including his album advertised at this site for a while, lol.

    Also funny how non fans are so shocked that just because they don’t like him, there are actually people out there who do like him!!!

    I was rolling on the floor with laughter reading the comments at Top Idol. Most of the comments are either bemoaning Danny’s success (Kris/Adam fans mainly) or actually happy about “Gokey outselling the Biggest Plant of All Time”– these are not Danny fans, just people who hate Adam more and want to see Danny outsell him for that reason. And yes, I did see that comment about me. LOL I thought it was funny, actually.

    Ok, back from the Dentist and my reconnaisance (sp?) mission.

    Remember , this is GRAFTON, WI- the town that had Danny featured at thanksgiving.

    Good news: Target had him on an endcap. On sale for 8.99; great price.
    Bad news: Only one slot!!! And it was empty. I asked for more and the kid said they were sold out right away. I said well, how many did you have. He said 7 or 8!!!!!!! Unbelievable. I talked to the manager and he said they were sent that by corporate, but they asked immediately this am for more copies. (BTW, Adam has 3 slots in the rock section)

    I went to Best Buy
    They were playing My Best Days!
    He had two slots on an end cap. 13.99
    Another lady came and bought the CD also as her only purchase, lol. I told them they better have plenty of copies!

    Yes, for sure. A lot of Danny’s songs on the album could be played on Pop or Soft Rock stations too. Danny’s music could not be put exclusively in the Country Genre box. Everyone can relate to them and since he doesn’t have that typical country twang everyone will enjoy the album.

    Okay, I am royally ticked. The sales guy at Freddie’s really wasn’t kidding. (See my post yesterday at 2:53 a.m.) They got a big whopping 4 copies of Danny’s CD. I called at 7:01 a.m. when they opened this morning, to reserve my copy. Danny has 2 copies of his CD way at the bottom of the new release section, half covered up and hard to see, and 1 copy buried in with the G’s in the country section. How are people supposed to buy Danny’s CD (especially those who like him but haven’t been following him online) if they can’t even see it in the stores?

    Yes, that is steam you see coming out of my ears!

    For those of you buying physical copies of Danny’s CD in a bricks and mortar store, please let me know what the situation is (display placement, number of copies) in other stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, Borders, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, etc.

    VickieCarol I don’t know if it’s the same guy interviewing Danny who writes for Yahoo Music, but Yahoo has not been kind to Danny. Maybe that guy kind of had an attitude going in. Danny seemed gracious as always, but a little hesitant.

    I think the reason Danny seemed a little hesitate is because of the interviewer. He was absorbing the energy that the interviewer was putting out. Danny is used to upbeat interviews with personality. That guy didn’t have one.

    Maybe RCA only sent out a small amount of CD’s to at least some of the stores, because they didn’t think that Danny would sell that many CD’s this week? They haven’t really gotten him much national promotion.

    And they didn’t even give him a banner on Itunes, yet there are big banners up there for people, I’ve never heard of and who aren’t selling well.

    It’s impressive that Danny is as high as he is, especially considering the lack of promotion and no banner on Itunes. #1 Country album, top 4 on the overall albums chart and no banner.

    I wonder if this is just something that is happening in a few stores or if a lot of stores only have a very small amount of Danny CDs.

    How the heck is Danny supposed to have good first-week sales numbers when the stores aren’t even stocking his CD? Customers should not have to go from store to store to find a copy! (At least not because the stores had an inadequate number of copies to begin with.)

    Maybe RCA only sent out so many CDs to stores because they don’t expect Danny to sell a lot of CD’s. They’ve been in no hurry to get him national promotion, or even a banner on Itunes which could have helped him out quite a bit with sales.

    Most of an artists sales come from brick and mortar stores, so I hope that at least some stores are well stocked with Danny’s CDs.

    If this is the case, I don’t like this strategy. But hopefully every Danny fan that wants a CD can get one even if a lot of them have to get it off of Amazon or Itunes.

    I REPEAT: how can Danny benefit from his exposure on AI if stores don’t even have his CD the very week it is released? Yes, some of those folks might go to Amazon or iTunes. But I’m betting that a bigger chunks of those folks who buy their music in bricks and mortar stores.

    Okay, I know you heard me the first time, but I’m really concerned about this. Maybe we should all get on the phone and call our local stores to see whether they have copies. If nothing else, the stores might clue in that there is interest out there.

    If this is something that a lot of Danny fans are having trouble with, I think that it’s probably more RCA/Nashville’s doing and not really the stores fault. I think the stores only take what is shipped to them, hopefully at least some of them will order more CD’s if they are sold out of them.

    Maybe after we get some more reports of Danny fans who go and buy his CDs at brick and mortar stores we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on. And see if this will be a common occurrence.

    Yes, being sold out is not good when there are less than 10 copies to start with :( And in MILWAUKEE!

    I hope they get their act together by Thursday; AI night.

    Also, it is fun to be happy, but once again (I know I’m being a wet blanket here but would rather be surprisingly happy than depressed once the week #’s are in), being #4 on overall iTUnes this time of year is not a harbinger of big album sales.
    Kris was #1 briefly and although that was during the high volume christmas season he still had the lowest start up week of any Idol.

    I guess I just don’t want any unreal expectations, like Danny will outsell Kradison this first week- really don’t think that is going to happen (I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong).

    Helio thanks for the link to Top Idol; that was just hilarious. I love how the one person (soapbox) keeps saying people are only buying the album because of his pimping on AI. UMMMM, honey, the season is over; impressionable people have moved on to the new crop of Idols……….

    That is another reason us “warriors” do it; sometimes people are actually won over to Danny if we are nice about it.

    It seems like to me that RCA/Nashville doesn’t really seem like they care a whole lot about Danny’s first week sales. I can understand if they want him to attract new people and end up with steady sales.

    But I think that he could have accomplished that and had a good week of first sales, due to his AI connection had they given him more national promotion and possibly shipped more albums to stores.

    I think he should have gotten a banner on Itunes, which could have helped him out significantly.

    I think that if they had done these things that Danny could have outsold Allison and maybe even given Kris a run for this money. But now I agree with pjgvet that I definitely think it’s best not to have unrealistic expectations.

    But a lot of the people I have seen suggesting Danny will outsell Kradison this week have been non Danny fans.

    I think what FOGS said is right. I think RCA probably only shipped a limited number to see how well it would sell. They probably didn’t have high expectations or anticipate the demand. If people keep demanding it, RCA will be sure to ship more to the stores.

    I think that is the case.

    At this point all we can do is buy the CD if we can and ask the stores when they are getting in more of Danny’s CDs in. So they are more likely to order more of them.

    Hopefully at least some of the AI people can get their hands on his CD in the brick and mortar stores. And if not that as many of them as possible will pre-order it off of Amazon and Itunes.

    I will try to make a trip to Wal-mart where I am at today or tomorrow and I’ll see what I find there and let you guys know what I saw. I live in a medium sized town in NC, I don’t really know how many CD’s in stock I might find of Danny’s CD here.

    It is disheartening to read that some stores seem to be understocked. If widespread, this could be a problem after the AI performance on Friday and Saturday, if stores remain understocked.

    There are just too many ifs. We are crazy Danny fans. :) Worrying so much. As we should. As Danny deserves. I guess the only thing that you guys in the US could do is visit your local store or stores if and see the stock for yourself and as Pam did, talk with the manager and kindly say that the AI performance will boost the demand for Danny CD.

    Definitely most people will be buying post AI performance.

    Speaking of crazy fans, I just scoped out the situation in my local Target store. Actually, purchased the last five CDs.

    Judging from the numbers of other new CDs they had just put out on display (oh yes – I was there yesterday too), it looks as if there may have been 30 put out on the shelf to start. Especially since, there were about 30 Lady A and Blake Sheldon CDs on the same shelving. Interestingly enough, Blakes’s was marked down to just 4.98 and didn’t appear to be moving at all. Lady A’s shelf was packed as well.

    Do hope they have plenty of MBDs in their stockroom, because otherwise, lots of folks are going to find an empty shelf.

    BTW the album design and photos look awesome. Love it & can’t wait to see the numbers roll out.

    Have to catch up on all your post late tonight. Too busy right now. Man, you’ve all been so busy!

    Do I dare mention,,, that the shelves were loaded with AL CDs too?

    R-squared, I also cried long and hard after he got outvoted. It was 4.a.m., (I am in Europe) dead silence and Danny’s YASB. And then I turned off my computer and wept in silence until it was time to go to work. I did not want to call in sick and God knows I was sick. I wanted to move on, just as he did. I mustered up all the dignity I have and left for work. All that now is ancient history, thank God!

    Listening to his happy songs like Life on ya often brings tears to my eyes, especially the ending of that song. It is so uplifting and heartbreaking. I often wonder how is that possible – how he can do that – to make me feel totally good and totally devastated at the same time. It is beyond words. I am still on acoustic versions until my CD arrives. :)

    Thanks so much, Pam. Concerns me, because there was nobody even present in the music area to make an inquiry. Didn’t get a chance to check our local Best Buy. Can say, there were two women that grabbed copies right before me.

    According to the email notice I received from RCA, they seem to be indicating that the CD is available at: Target, Walmart, FYE, Amazon, iTunes, DGO and other retailers. Wonder what ‘other retailers’ means.

    I suspect he is going to loose some potential sales come Friday – Sat – Sunday. Then again, that crowd is pretty well hooked into digital sales.

    I’m going to try to be optimistic about the CD availability for now. Didn’t whoever upthread say there weren’t many copies, in Grafton, WI? That doesn’t necessarily represent all of Milwaukee.

    Since i’m sick, I can’t scope out the situation here in Rockford. Where, by the way, Danny has gotten NO airplay on the local country station. :(

    But speaking of conspiracy theories (well, I wasn’t really, but this whole not-enough-CDs thing made me think of this): remember when a lot of people said they weren’t able to get through to vote for Danny the week he was voted out? Danny even tweeted that many people had told him that.

    A couple of observations after reading the TopIdol comments:

    First of all, isn’t it ridiculous that someone would have to “hang their head in shame” for admitting they found Danny goodlooking? Are you that much of a lemming that you have to fear the reaction of your hateful friends if you admit having your own feelings about something?!?

    Secondly, I have a new word for haters. How about hate-tards? They love calling people fan-tards. They deserve their own moniker.

    Did anyone see the video that Amy just posted? The Kansas City Fox 4. I couldn’t believe that female reported said that David Cook had won the Season 8 when Danny had come in 3rd. I’ll bet that Danny wanted to correct her but he didn’t. Smooth move on his part. Maybe the lady doesn’t really know anything about the AI seasons. If she can’t remember that Kris Allen won last year and not David Cook. I’ll bet she heard about that mix-up when the interview was over.

    R-squared, I think I remember that article after the finale. I forgot he was called “America’s sweetheart.” Apt description of our boy, that’s for sure.

    Ah, the finale. The week before that. YASB. Paula’s devastation. Danny looking so defeated at the time. Bosman, I cried all night too. And a good part of the next day. I thought it was all over for him, I never dreamed we’d be seeing him become the megastar he seems to be turning into. Now I wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s on his way and I feel like I can rest easier knowing that. I’m not too worried about the empty shelves. Like I said, I think not many were shipped, as RCA probably didn’t anticipate it being in such demand.

    Someone asked about the commercial during Ellen. All of a sudden there it was! I could hardly believe it. Mostly it was clips from the MBD video, cut with closeups of the album cover and a voice over, with Danny singing MBD in the background. I’ve been waiting for it to come on again, but so far no such luck. I would bet they will be airing it tonight during Idol though, and certainly on Thursday night to tie in with Danny’s performance.

    It’s official. The guys will be performing tonight. I hope Crystal feels better tomorrow. As one of the most popular girls, I guess they delayed it for her sake. I’m sure if it was Haeley who was sick, they wouldn’t be doing that. I do love Crystal though.
    I can’t wait to see what Lee does tonight.

    I think it was a slow rollout for Carrie too. I think it took her about a year or so to start achieving superstar status. And personally, I think Danny has more star power and charisma than Carrie, who always left me a little cold. She’s a good technical singer, but with the exception of Before He Cheats (which showed a lot of righteous anger) most of her songs seem a bit on the emotionless side.

    I agree about Carrie’s less emotional songs. She can’t pull off all that emotion in her songs like our Danny. So, maybe that’s a clue that Danny will rise faster than Carrie did. People listen to music to get emotionally moved and entertained too. But no one can capture a heart/ in their music/ like Danny.

    Thanks Erika, My BD is tomorrow but it feels like it’s today. I got my cd in the mail and one from the store.

    When are the CD’s going to be out where you are? So far, the fans are very unhappy with the amount of CDs that have been distributed to the stores here. Not sure why more CDs weren’t shipped. Is it a strategy of RCA or just them not expecting to see that many albums? Whatever the case, the Danny fans aren’t happy about it.

    I was looking over that Top Idol thread again (I Told You the World was Ending) and a few people were commenting that in real life (as opposed to online, where Kris/Adam fans stuck together) most Glamberts were also “Gokey-tards” and loved both Adam and Danny. I think there may be some truth to this, as I remember when I went to Charlotte for the AI8 tour, most of the fans I saw were there to see Adam and Danny, and many of them for both. I thought that was kind of interesting.

    It doesn’t surprise me that the stores don’t have a lot of copies of his CD. They usually don’t have that many copies in stock, unless it’s already an established singer. We must keep reminding ourselves that Danny is a new artist and, usually, the stores will treat his CD as so, at least in the beginning. Let’s hope that they see the demand now and they order gazillions of copies!

    That’s a pretty positive review from the Miami Herald, even you can tell the writer isn’t really a fan. I agree though, as do many, that of all the season 8 alums, Danny stays the most true to himself and as such, the songs seem more natural and sincere, and as a result draw you in more than anything on Kradison’s albums.

    Maybe that’s why there were so little Danny CD’s sent out, I had not thought of that, Danny being a new artist, they would want to make sure that the CDs would sell before sending a large amount to the stores.

    Exclusive Interview with Danny Gokey

    This is a big week for Season 8’s third place finalist Danny Gokey. He released his debut album, My Best Days, today. On Thursday, Danny will return to the American Idol stage to perform on the live results show. We caught up with the country crooner this afternoon to find out more about his album, his upcoming tour, his Idol performance, and more.

    When asked how he was feeling today, Danny said, “Like a million bucks. This is a dream come true. I’m so happy with everything.” It was less than one year ago that Danny Gokey was an American Idol contestant, and now he has released his debut album. He explains that this past year has been “Busy, busy, busy. I moved to Nashville and I’m watching things fall into place. I’m enjoying life. American Idol was more than just an entertainment show for me. It was a second chance at life.”

    Danny has always made it known that one of his missions is to create music that touches people. Of all of his songs on My Best Days, he thinks people will connect with “Tiny Life,” “I Will Not Say Goodbye,” “It’s Only,” and “I Still Believe” the most. He has already been hearing from fans today about these songs in particular.

    AmericanIdol.com had the exclusive world premiere of Danny’s music video for “My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me.” He gave us a little back story about how the song and video came to be. Danny said when he went on American Idol, everyone knew his story. He felt at home on Idol, but so many people knew him as the widower. He liked that “My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me” had a good message about enjoying life again. After choosing that as his first single, Danny learned that the writer of the song also lost his wife and took a break from writing until he penned “My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me.” It has now become Danny’s anthem and he said that destiny brought them together. When he read the concept for the video he knew it was the right one, and that’s how the video came to be.

    On Mondays, the AI-Insider tracks Idol finalists’ events of the week, and Danny has been on the radio tour circuit throughout the past several weeks, and now he’s embarking on an in-store tour. “I love doing this,” said Danny. “I love meeting the fans and thanking them. I can’t meet everyone, but I like to personally thank all of my fans that I meet.” He said that radio tours, Twitter, and in-store meet-and-greets are ways to get closer to the fans. “I’m doing the groundwork for building long term relationships. Twitter is a great tool for this. I direct messaged a couple hundred fans today to say thanks.”

    Danny recently announced that he’ll be joining country duo Sugarland on tour. He said that he’s very excited about this and he’s preparing for the tour amongst everything else right now, although his band is getting used to playing the songs from My Best Days already.

    This Thursday, Danny will return to the stage that launched his music career and perform live on the American Idol Top 20 results show. “I’m very excited because I know I’m not going to be judged. I accomplished something on that stage. Idol is what gave me a launch and I met good people there. The producers and the staff are awesome and Idol was a great stepping stone to my future. American Idol doesn’t guarantee success, but it does give you the tools.”

    The advice Danny has for the Season 9 semifinalists is to “not let your mind get the best of you. Stay calm and cool. Don’t become so consumed with what people think, and let your mind defeat it. Always know that you will kill it and people at home want you to kill it.”

    Danny still keeps in touch with all of the guys from Season 8. “I formed solid relationships with them on the road. I appreciate them and the girls. We text or call each other. It’s nice because we’ve all been through this together.”

    MyIdol users DJGokeyGirl and Cupcake1012 wanted to know if Danny plans on writing or co-writing songs on his next album. He said, “Absolutely, and I’m already working on it.” Danny didn’t have time to write on My Best Days since they put this album out quickly. Shanerd and PJGvet asked who Danny would want to collaborate with. He mentioned Brian McKnight and Gary LeVox of the Rascal Flatts being two of the artists he’d love to work with.

    To all of Danny’s fans he says, “Thank you. I love you and appreciate all that you do for me. I get caught up because there’s one of me and lots of you so I can’t personally thank you all, but I hope my music connects with you and it’s a sign of appreciation for you.”

    Ellen, it is the record label (in this case Sony/Nashville) who determine how many CDs are shipped to the various stores. They also determine which stores get the CDs, and it’s usually the big stores that get them first, and usually at a discounted price. I got my copy at Best Buy this morning for only $9.99. Borders said they were not on the list to receive ANY of the CDs, although they were available to order from their online store.

    I have no idea why Sony would be so stingy in the amount of CDs they would send to these “brick & mortar” stores.

    A cute story: There’s a diehard David Cook fan on Twitter who never really got into season 8 but had heard some clips from Danny’s album and liked it enough to buy it. So today she tweeted him for the first time and she was one of the lucky “few hundred fans” who got a DM from Danny today. She is over the moon about it too, telling everyone she got a DM from Danny! I guess she’s a fan now too.

    Steph, wow blatant plagarism on that one review.

    That other review (Miami Herald) you posted (the slightly snarky one) was actually an excellent review because that is from a BIG Danny hater: Howard Cohen. Howard Cohen is a big Adam fantard and put Danny down a lot. So I take this as a very good review.

    Went to Walmart. Nothing in Country visible; but on the “new music endcape” there was 3 slots for Danny with 6 CDs left. I hope they had more in back but I didn’t ask.

    Hi everybody! I’m trying to catch up but may take me a bit longer. Just had to post this. I stopped by my local Target after work to pick up you know what. Well, I couldn’t find Danny’s cd anywhere. I thought maybe they had a large display somewhere special since he wasn’t with the other new releases and being his hometown and all. Finally asked and was told they only received in 9 copies, which sold right away. No idea when more will come in. Go figure! In Danny’s hometown, they only have 9 copies! Just think how many more sales there would have been today if there was a decent supply! Thank goodness my preorder arrived yesterday (just wanted an extra copy for the car :) and, since I’ll probably wear my first cd out in a week!)

    I feel like I need tosay this before a riot starts. Please do not blame RCA for the lack of stock. The label has nothing to do with the number of cds that aee stocked in an individual store. All stores have puchase mgs who place their orders for the CDs and pay a wholesale price. It is really no different than a store ordering red shirts, they make a decision based on prior purchases, and the trend lately has been towards electronic ie; Itunes, Amazon media.

    So on this great day for Danny lets enjoy the this triumph and leave the marketing/handwringing to the naysayers. Just think with what Danny sold today its more than he ever sold in his life!!!

    Wow, what a day, think I am caught up with all the talk. RCA must have some marketing idea about the CD shipment’s.Maybe they want everyone to buy from itunes, Amazon, not sure what is the deal. But I agree not to have that many sent to his hometown is really a puzzle.

    The spot on On the Streets was really good and yes I did notice she patted Danny on the knee! Cute….

    I am off to relax and listen to the CD just an amazing first album. Now we wait for Thursday night on Idol….

    Good Evening Ladies, Guys! Im Back!

    Here’s my report:

    I first came to Barnes and Noble: I went straight to the new releases section and darn there is no DG CD, I didn’t lose hope and went to the Country Section, ok, that is when my patience lost LOL! I asked the lady on the register, I asked if they have the DG CD, she searched it and it was there on the pc, that was strange, it wasn’t on the shelf… She find it and then she found one, the ONLY ONE on the who shebang… She said it their only stock! Ok and then without hesitation I bought it with a big smile on my darn face… YAAY!!! but Im not contented, I want 1 more… I planned to gift it to my bestfriend back home… So I went to another store…

    I went to Best Buy – thank God theres more, actually it only one shelf and one stack only with at least 6 of each per stack… the other albums are full but Danny’s stack was only 3 left. so I hurried getting the other 1 and its best sale of $9.99… Oh BTW, on Barnes and Noble, it was $14.99. Before I went to Best Buy I checked out FYE record bar, it was there too but the same price on Barnes and Noble so I took a risk and not buy it cuz I thought maybe they have it on Best buy and much cheeper though YAY!!!

    According to LA Times, the Candidate of the Silent Majority huh??? well are we silent??? we are so loud and vocal about it YAY!!! Yeah, I would say Danny is the America’s Sweetheart and here are the reasons, Adam is definitely not straight, and Kris has already a wife so that leaves with Danny who is perfectly single and looking LOL! On Allison, Naaaah, she should be pursuing the “Likability” first…

    I saw Carrie was mentioned earlier, and that reminded me of something funny that happened today. Keep in mind that my husband knows even less than I do about modern country music, although he did watch the GAC Top 20 countdown with me last weekend, off and on.

    I was in the kitchen today with my headphones on, listening to Danny of course. DH walks in and I asked him if he’d like to hear one of Danny’s new songs, and he said Sure, so I played “Crazy Not To”. He said “What an incredible voice. If he keeps going like that, he’s going to give that Tracy Underwood a run for her money.” That hit me as so funny, and I was just cracking up and he was just looking at me like, What? Ha! I did explain to him though that the reigning princess of country music is known as Carrie, not Tracy, Underwood. ;)

    Hi all! Isn`t this the `Best Day`?! I`m very late coming here, but thought I`d save the best `til last! I haven`t read any comments yet-well, I`ve been lurking on Twitter,and, if you have seen the ammount of videos there are,I have to go through them all and pick the best-that took me HOURS,my rest periods have been forgotten- The picture quality is improved now on the Boxer show videos-I really enjoyed those-and I`ve said it before, but the performance of IWNSG is one of the best I`ve heard-I am in awe of Danny`s ability to sing so incredibly, in a small studio, with 3 musicians-Amazing- I`m hoping that now, RCA will consider making a DVD at one of his live performances this year-that would fly off the shelves!!
    I`m holding out `til the album arrives-haven`t downloaded- but, OMG, the photos are HOT!!! Don`t think any of us expected anything like this-I see you were quick off the mark, VC lol!     didn’t see Andrew perform, but Brian Mansfield says he is no Danny Gokey.

    Andrew takes to the centerstage stool for James Morrison’s You Give Me Something. He looks much more comfortable this week, and this song is much better suited to his kind of reinterpretation. On the other hand, it’s the first time I’ve really gotten the Danny Gokey comparisons with Andrew, and I think Danny would have mopped the floor with Andrew’s version (once he learned the song). Decent, but hardly great.

    I actually think it’s a huge compliment to Danny that demand of his CD in stores have over powered the supply.

    I would not be worry about losing sales. If anything, that kind of thing usually creates more interest in sales with new fans. For example, it’s usually great PR when you hear that there are long lines for a movie, restaurant, etc.

    I’d be more worried if Danny had completely stock shelfs, but with little movement.

    I had so much fun reading through the comments this morning, even if I couldn’t join in. It was great to share in everyone’s excitement.

    Thanks Steph, for bringing the comment from Cindy over on mj’s over here. I remember her making a similar comment at the end of the AI tour, and it meant a lot to me. As Josie said, it felt good that we did make a difference, even if only for one person. Only one thing was missing, and I’m sure Josie will agree, JX223 (FOGS) should have been included in that. I’ve said it before, but I was so thankful for both of them. There’s no way I could have lasted as long as I did without them, although from what I’ve heard it sounds like FOGS did that at TWOP.

    Well, after work I braved a blizzard and drove 35 miles to get Danny’s cd at the Walmart in the next town. I walked right up to the end of the aisle, where the new releases are (Kris, Adam and Allison’s were all displayed at the end). I looked and looked. My sister went with me and she came up behind me and I said “He’s not here.” And she walked on down the aisle and said here he is. He was in the country section displayed on the top of the rack. There were only eight copies. I was immediately annoyed. Before I could even say anything, my sister picked up five of the cds and walked over to the new releases on the end of the aisle and put them in a line in front of some of the artists that were displayed there…lol. I guess that’s not fair to those artists, but I didn’t tell her to put them back. We later found one more Danny cd in the G section under country. So that makes a grand total 9 cds at around 6:00 tonight at that Walmart. If it hadn’t been snowing so hard, I would have checked out some other stores, but I needed to get home. The roads were very bad…I probably shouldn’t have gone.

    We listened to the cd on the way home. It really is a great cd. There’s not a bad song on it!

    I must say that like Pam, I’m a little nervous that Danny won’t be able to fully take advantage of his AI appearance because that is going to spark the memory of a lot of people and they will go looking for his album. Many won’t be able to find it. That’s just dumb in my opinion. They may not be concerned about first week sales, but they should certainly be concerned about overall sales and wasting this AI appearance kinda sucks.

    VC, Happy Birthday, it`s the 3rd here! Regarding CD stocks, I do recall that WHEN we had a record store here-a long time ago- it was up to the manager how many hard copies were ordered, and, before the store closed for good-it had gone `online` so very few CDs were on the shelves- One question, as, it seems, Adam is gracing our shores with a visit to do `radio tour`-does that mean that HIS album is being released here? Didn`t Kris win AI? So, shouldn`t his album also be released here? And, as Danny has the STRONGER FANBASE in the UK and Europe-as we have proven! will his album be available here? I distinctly remember seeing D.Cs album, I find it hard to believe that Adam is doing a radio tour-for one thing, much as I like Adam,I can`t imagine him doing an accoustic set-and he`ll have to `rein it in` a bit, engage brain before opening mouth-Be interesting….

    I didn’t mean for it to sound like Adam, Kris, and Allison’s cds were displayed on the end right now. They were displayed there when they came out and for a good while after. Heck, Adam was displayed on the end but just off to the side, even today.

    Even last year, at least in Target, Taylor’s album, The Distance, was displayed on the end under new releases and he had at least three places worth of albums, and Taylor put out his own cd. He has no label, so even just putting out his own cd, he was displayed in a better place.

    I don’t get it, but I still think Danny will sell well over time. I do.

    Also Danny’s album went up back up to #4 on the overall albums chart on Itunes and back to #1 on the Country albums chart on Itunes. He has 500 people on his site right now and I believe at least some of them are buying his album.

    I have noticed that every time he has a lot of traffic on his official site his sales go up. I think that it’s really nice that he has been able to stay in the Top 5 on the overall albums chart on Itunes, all day today.

    He has a lot of competition including several new releases that came out this week as well. And he doesn’t even have a banner unlike people like Jason DeRulo, Blake Shelton, Lifehouse, Easton Corbin and the Almost Alice Soundtrack, all who have banners on Itunes.

    From what I remember of sales, stores took some 700000 or more copies but Adam initially only sold a couple of hundred thousand. And it took him a couple of months to go gold, with still a lot of that original inventory never sold by the stores.
    They may be more wait and see, and following a ‘just-in-time’ shipping model at some locations. If Easton, Sarah, etc. get a lot more space than Danny, it would worry me more than comparing him to Adam when we already know Adam has a huge hype / media / promo advantage.

    I don’t know how much of an increase that Allison and Kris saw this week due to their appearances on Idol. I do know that neither one of them were in the Top 50 albums on HDD chart, but I believe that Allison has been out of the Top 200 for a while now and Kris’s album was ranked 154 on the Billboard Top 200 albums last week.

    So it will be interesting to see how much of a boost Idol gave them in album sales.

    I’m not sure where Danny will land in album sales. I was interested in seeing Josh Thompson and Sarah Buxton’s, because I felt they were similar to Danny in some ways. I haven’t seen the figure for Sarah’s CD sales yet.

    Hi to All! out of all days I had to be away from all Danny news today. My CDs have arrived and I gifted one right away to my neighbor’s daughter and to watch her face opening the package up was priceless and when she saw it was autographed she started jumping up and down and so happy she is 11 yrs old.
    I stopped by WalMart on my way home very late this evening and no like some others the CD was not in the new releases shelf it was with the Country CDs and Danny had 2 sections with 3 CD each and noticed right next to him was Blake Shelton was the same way 2 sections 6 CDs total and Josh Turner had 3 sections with a total of 8 CDs. I would think that on the first shipment the stores get a limited number to see how well the CD does. I will be going back to the same WalMart tomorrow night to see how many Danny CDs are left and maybe during lunch time will stop by Target since there is one really close to where I work. Pam I read in Rachel’s 6:33 post that your question got picked up and was answered by Danny. Congratulations! I am now off to keep the promise I made and that is to make a donation to SHF and then off to bed.

    VickiC saw where you asked me where I was going to see Danny tomorrow. At the Rodeo Club in San Jose, CA. Never been to the club, have been to San Jose several times. It’s about a 3 hour drive. My hubby, who loves me, ( we’ve been married 51 years in one month) but won’t even listen to Danny, agreed to go with me to see Danny perform.

    I think he will be converted when he hears Danny tomorrow night. We will get a motel and come home the next day. I looked at their web site and it’s a rather huge western club, with line dancing, several dance floors and two stages. Danny is on at 9 p.m. And I can’t get them on the phone, just an old recording, so I don’t know if we will get to meet Danny. But I’m hoping for one of his famous hugs. lol

    What a sweet husband you have. And Wow, you’ve been married 51 years? That’s awesome! My husband and I have been married 31 years. You guys have 20 good years on us. Ha

    I sure hope that Danny will be meeting his fans. I saw that he was signing autographs at the Best Buy stores and taking pictures too. I’d love to see some pictures posted here of you standing next to Danny.

    I hope this actually equates to something in increased airplay but Danny has moved up to #40 on the WMZQ playlist. May not sound like much, but he was 81 a couple of weeks ago and in the low 50s when I looked during or just before last weekend :)

    Marilyn, I’m glad that you will be seeing Danny tomorrow. I live about 45 min away fr San Jose but I’m still not sure if I can go tomorrow due to my husband’s work schedule. By the way, Danny will do a meet and greet at Santana Row Best Buy tomorrow around 5 pm. Maybe you can go there too so you can get your hug. If you do, please get an extra one for me. I really want to go but my family’s schedule is really tight right now but who knows, if it’s meant to be, I might just see Danny tomorrow. If not, I’ll try again next time.

    Whewww! It took me hours to catch up with all the Danny news, watch idol, answer some emails and i still have to vote at GAC and CMT!

    Dear Ihearters, please no worries over Danny’s CD sales! He is doing so well! We must relish and embrace this beautiful Gokey Day/Week. We will be blessed with Danny shining on Idol in just two days–and can the man do any more interviews????? My goodness, he’s an interview machine!

    I loved the tweet about singing at the restaurant tonight. I tweeted back that he was spoiling his fans because we want him to sing whenever, wherever and forever!! I doubt he saw it, but its so true. He must be so thrilled with the reaction to his music.

    Danny’s album is now Top 10, ranked at #10 on the Bestselling Items in music chart on Amazon. His song is moving up more on Itunes, and is now #614 on the overall Top 1000 songs on Itunes chart. A few days ago it wasn’t even in the Top 1000 songs on Itunes.

    Went to Target tonight, found his CD right in front of main floor, good location. There was only 1 slot of about 7 CDs. I got the very last one! Didn’t find any other location. Although Josh Turner is doing well. It is what it is. Create demand, I guess.

    I finally watched AI, Casey – nice eyes, voice ok. I can see why everyone likes Lee. I kinda liked Alex. Not sure about Garcia yet. Looks like a lot of room for improvements. As we know, you never know. Never saw Kris coming, still don’t. As they settled in, let the games begin. First time I heard Danny sing “Hero” won me forever.

    this is an interesting writeup, with a take I hadn’t seen that much. basically going after some of the newer singers who represent themselves as more like traditional country, and calling them fakers more or less. Josh Thompson gets mentioned by name, I suppose they could also mean someone like Easton Corbin. I read another review today of Easton, where someone was attacking the fact that the lyrics of Easton’s songs proclaim him to be really really country, and they were tired of seeing artists sing that so overtly.

    Watched AI tonight. My favorites are still Lee, Andrew, and I also liked the Lambert kid tonight. I thought Big Mike sounded good on his song, but Taylor sings that song at a lot of his concerts and does it better, imo. However, while I like the style of the song, I just don’t like the song.

    finally, Album day is finally setting in and most of us are well pleased with Danny’s album sales whether online or on some stores… The moment of truth is after a week from now to see how Danny is really doin on charts and sales… BUT having said that, Danny would do great and is a blessing enough already for him cuz this is what he dreamed of way back his youth…

    On AI tonight, I know this is weird but I find Alex and Lee’s voice to be like sound alike haha but maybe its just my ears though… I like their performances but for now, Lee’s got my attention cuz somehow their is a spark on his performances, very disappointed with Garcia though… I think he’s paying the price of a frontrunner, like what happen to Danny early on… I think Andrew needs to think alot harder and maybe get some tips from Danny on handling tough situations and please remove the glasses or wear a DG glasses for heaven’s sake, Its not Idol likable… love, love to say goodbye to Park, Lynche, Sellers and Urban…

    So this guy from Country Standard Time, was he trying to say that anyone who isn’t a traditional country singer should feel guilty? He seemed to have a problem with newer country artist who weren’t carbon copies of the old traditional country artist. Or am I just reading it wrong?

    VickieCarol-yes Im worried on him for that, but at least today and for tomorrow, he got to do a little singing before the big Idol Stage performance… I hope though that Danny’s appearance and live performance would sound like being on Idol and not acoustic sound like what we are hearing on this past weeks cuz hey, its the Idol Stage so Im hoping for a quality album like music background and would love to hear with Drums playing on it in the live performance… I think no one here saw the CRS performance with a drums on it…

    VickieCarol – yes thats what we have to listen because Idol stage is a whole another level and its not just a small radio station room with 2 dozens of people listening to him… We’re talking about millions of people watching that giant machine… But still, Danny’s voice will carry all of them… love love to see how the judges specially Ellen respond to Danny’s first single and looking forward for the Ryan-Danny Chitchat with the common question Ryan asks returning Idols on show, what would you give advice to these contestants YAY!!!

    Marilyn, its not just you, its idol that is less than sterling this year. It was so MUCH more interesting with Danny, Adam, Allison, Alexis, Matt and yes, even Kris. I think my husband is glad I’m not getting hooked in. (It must be a relief that I’m not forming a pattern here…..)

    Listening to The Coach. I love Danny’s vocals. I’d select different subject matter…but its all good! His voice is so darn good! Did you notice, nobody dares to criticize his vocals in any of those reviews? Unlike on Idol, where the haters said he wasn’t that good….delusional is what they were…

    milgokey, thank you so much, that meant a lot to me. I’ll never forget my summer with amy/aek and FOGS/Jx223! We had no way to talk to each other outside of our posts at mj’s back then, and I was always SO HAPPY to see them turn up! So much nicer now with all of you here.

    I watched the show tonight, I still don’t have a favorite, but I would say the performances I liked best tonight were Big Mike and Lee. As far as who is at risk for going home, I would say John Park is one. Not a bad performance, but I don’t think he’s connecting well enough. Maybe Jermaine for the other one, but I predicted him last week, and he’s still here. I actually like his voice a lot when he actually “sits still” vocally long enough to hear it, and I like the whimsical aspect of his personality but I don’t think he’s connecting well enough either. Too wrapped up in trying to sing pretty and missing the boat on the bigger picture. That’s my opinion anyway. I think everyone was better than last week, some remarkably so.

    Thanks Amy and Erika for capturing all the great news for Danny the last couple of days. I am still working on getting all caught up and it has been great fun! I am particularly happy to see so many great reviews.

    I like Lee the best. For me, he kinda looks like Danny and his voice is like David Cook’s. Guess, I’ll be rooting for him this year. But overall, AI9 is bland compared to AI8. Danny is still the best, no one can surpass Danny’s talents. He’s the complete package.

    The show seems kind of depressing to me. I haven’t seen the girls yet. I hope they are better. I will miss the show tomorrow night. So will have to watch them somewhere else.

    When I was in town around 4 p.m. I stopped by Best Buy just to check to see if they had Danny’s CD. It was not on the table as you come in the door where all the new CDs were supposed to be. I asked two clerks and they didn’t know Danny nor did they know if he was on that table earlier and sold out. I found 3 copies on the racks. One in one place on the end of a rack and two in another spot.

    I have a feeling that they didn’t put him out on the table with the new releases. And I was miles away before I thought I should have insisted that they put him out on the table for new releases.

    I didn’t have time to check out any other stores. My take is that Danny’s CD’s have been selling, cause I’m sure they wouldn’t have just put one on the end rack or just two somewhere else. Other singer’s cds near Danny’s were fuller or more in tge rack.

    That’s a town of about 13,000 people, but outlying areas of peoples (like me) drive in to shop.

    I missed part of the show tonight because of my brother’s phone call and I didn’t have the heart to ask him to call me back later.

    Mr. Bing hi. So glad you are back. So glad Danny has fans all over the world that love him.

    Mr. Bing, lee has short light brown hair and beautiful clear blue eyes. He seems intense when he sings and he has a wrasp to his voice kind of like Danny does. I don’t know the official word for that kind of voice. I liked his voice. He does not do the riffles like Danny does, and I don’t think he sang any high notes. (I don’t know what that’s called either when Danny hits the high notes like at the end of WHTM.

    Josie, you are right. These folks don’t seem to be as good of singers as last year. How could that be possible out of possibly 100,000 singers?

    Maybe they will all get better as the show proceeds.

    Mr. Bing, please do not be nervous. Be happy. Danny made a wonderful product and I am sure the stores that are out of the cds will order more. Maybe we won’t be able to brag that Danny outsold other idols, but we can be happy that one by one Danny will gain fans that adore him like we do. He just needs time. I know in my heart that Danny is destined to be a big star.

    I have never ever loved a singer in my longs years. There is something special that Danny has, that this world needs, his love, his accepting nature of people, his wanting to help others, his faith in the Almighty One, his hard work, his always working to be better and better. AND HIS VOICE!

    He won’t fail and I don’t think the Provident One will allow him to fail either. Danny is going to do wonderfully well.

    Haven’t you noticed how taken people are with him in interviews. How happy Danny’s Manager is with him, such a glowing report from a person who has worked with other artists and knows a good guy to work with from a dud.

    So don’t let our reports, or anything haters may say cause concern or worry. Danny is destined to be a huge star.

    Mr. Bing. Me too. Lots of times, I have little time or I’m on late where others are in bed, or sometimes I have nothing to add and so I don’t post. But come here almost every day too. I love this sight. So much kindness and love here, and I guess most importantly, so much “Danny news” here.

    Mr. Bing. I hope you have an idea of Lee after my description. He also is medium build and height and not real thin, but looks about right for his height. It’s sometimes hard for me to tell about the height and weight of a person on TV.

    I am really bummed about the shortage of CDs in the stores. The only thing that gives me comfort right now are the international fans. I like knowing that Danny has fans in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, Portugal, Brazil, UK, Holland, Denmark, Finland, Bosnia, and so on. I like knowing that despite differences in language and culture, Danny’s voice is reaching people around the world.

    marilyn，Actually I can watch the show on air through Internet，and that’s what I did when Danny is on last year.But seems Danny is not on any more，I am not eager to see it.I definitely will watch it when Danny comes to the show as a guest.

    Ellen, one more thing, a clerk at Best Buy said they could get more in tomorrow. She said they were distributed more or less evenly to stores. That one store didn’t get 50 and another store 2 or 3. Maybe we don’t understand the distribution. Probably stores in higher population centers get more, according to what kind of sales they have had in the past.

    My guess is that Danny’s CDS are selling better than the stores expected. They will have to reorder. It’s kind of sad, but eventually all who want Danny’s CD will be able to buy it.

    Cindy said something today that I wondered about. The voting the night Danny was voted off, I was one of the voters that couldn’t get through to vote. I tried about 20 times and each time got a busy signal until the voting time was over. I was so upset. And it still makes me mad when I dwell on it.

    Yes, it’s late but i tried posting on here earlier but it didn’t show up for some reason. Anyway, got my copy of MBD and it’s awesome as I expected it to be and more!!! :-) I’ve listened to it 3x times already. Just have to make it 3 x 10 times and I’m good! lol :-)

    I noticed after I grabbed my copy from walmart, and lady got a copy, too! I tried not to be too obvious that I noticed her so I acted like I was looking at other cd’s…lol…don’t really think she paying any attention to me anyway. Just knowing that someone else in Clarksville, TN knows who Danny is and buys his cd is an epic thing for me…lol :-)

    Anyway, got another story about the cashier asking me who Danny was but I’ll share it later. Have a good night/morning wherever you are :-)

    Mr. Bing, I don’t know for sure, but from reading the posts, it sounds like most stores only have a handful of copies of Danny’s CDs. Even in Milwaukee, where Danny is from! I’m sure that the stores will order more CDs in response to customer demand, but that takes time. I’m afraid Danny will miss part of the “bump” in sales that he is expected to get from his AI appearance. Fans will find a way to get the CD. But casual viewers, who may be undecided and curious about Danny’s CD, most likely will not go back if they don’t find the CD in the stores.

    I’m sorry, Mr. Bing. I’m just feeling really down right now.

    I will say goodnight to you, Mr. Bing. (And to Marilyn if she comes back.) It’s late here and I need to get to bed. I did not get much sleep last night.
