Nothing new, but I thought it was sweet.

We’re in the thick of “American Idol” season nine with our local contestants Andrew Garcia, Tori Kelly and Samuel Larsen, but if you can think back to last year, when Paula Abdul was still on the show and Ryan Seacrest was still rocking his permanent 5 o’clock shadow, you might remember Danny Gokey.
If it’s all coming back to you now, you might want to know that Gokey is coming to the Saddle Sore Saloon in Norco on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.)
Here are the catches–you have to be at least 21 and you have to win tickets from country station K-FROG.
On a more personal note, I had the chance to interview Gokey when he was in town with American Idols Live at Ontario in July and he was by far the most down-to-earth and friendly “Idol” I interviewed. Also, he renewed my love for Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T.”
