My Crazy DReam!!!!
This Dream started way back when I first met Daniel J Gokey on American Idol..I remember when he first sang I Heard it Through the Grapevine and I loved it..He had such a cool raspy tone to his voice and kind of ghetto sounding to me!=) anyway I immediately 
fell in love with Danny!!! and really felt he would win the title of American Idol.I got on websites and blogged about how wonderful he was..despite all the hate towards him I continued to fight for him..my user name was pitbull when I first came on iheart there was only a few fans 7 or 8!! I remember thinking where are all his fans? anyway- I looked like this-
So my dream continues as all of you know Danny did not win American Idol and should have!! anyway I always wanted to meet him sooo bad it was my crazy dream..but knew it would take a miracle to meet him face to face! and get a chance to visit with him.
After the American Idol tour because I could not make that I heard he was coming to Mpls..in Jan. 2010 I was so excited finally I would get to meet Danny face to face!! but then I found out I had to win tickets to see him..It was like getting a gift at Christmas and then someone 
taking it away!! So anyway Im a fighter and so I emailed the station and put my name in to win tickets to see him..Well days went by and I did not hear back I thought about storming into the radio station but was not sure about that..But I did email them again and told them why I wanted to see Danny and just how much he meant to me and how I was one of his number one fans! (I dont give up easily!!) Then I went shopping and came home and low and behold there was an email from K102 radio stations and they said I won!!! to go and see Danny at the station!! I was jumping up and down and doing the happy dance!! Here is my pic with my winning ticket!!
So after I won I thought maybe I should see if I can book a hotel close to the station cause I dont like to drive in the city and especially in rush hour so I booked a hotel and set off on Sunday afternoon on my dream to meet Danny on Monday at the radio station..
So anyway I got to the hotel and just sat down and relaxed hooked up my laptop and just enjoyed getting away for awhile..and out of my super boring town of Wyoming Mn with about 200 people in it! Well it was getting to be dinner time and I debated alot of things
1. Should I go down to the whirlpool for awhile and then eat?
2. Should I call in room service?
3. Should I go to the hotel bar?
Was not sure what to do so I went down to the whirlpool area to just vedge for a little bit and then was getting hungry so went to the bar area of the hotel and ordered some food and watched the Packers and the Cardinals footaball game all by myself which I never do..I dont like going out alone Im shy believe it or not! After the Packers lost wow what a game! and so sad to lose like that! I thought I will go upstairs to my room and vedge out for the rest of the night!! well the card would not work on my door so I had to go back to the Lobby..so I told them about it and then I decided before I go back to my room Im gonna get some kind of snack..to take back to my room. So went into the sweet shoppe in the hotel and got some sweetarts and then as I was coming out of there I saw a bunch of guys coming into the hotel so I just stood there for a minute and all of a sudden I recognized Ivan Santiago he was the one who held the picture up on Idol of Sophia! and I thought to myself could DANNY be here? and after I thought that this guy turned around and I went oh my gosh to myself it was DANNY!! He looked just so cute in a black coat and a smile! He is not real big but he is just perfectly built he smells like a kiss from a rose! and he is so charming such a gentlemen! I started walking towards him (It reminded me of the movie airplane dumb movie ever seen it? Well there is a scene with 2 characters Ted and Ellen and Ted starts dreaming of her on the beach walking towards him and then wakes up! I literally thought I was dreaming!! and then he said to me HI how are you? its nice to finally meet you! He knew who I was and of course I knew who he was!! what a fan girly moment for sure!! I just could not believe I was standing in front of Danny Gokey!! and he knew me!!! GOOSEBUMPS!!!
We talked for awhile about his music Amazon the Opry Twitter the football game the radio station and some other stuff joked a bit I cant remember everything I was in a dream!! I said can I have a hug? He said sure and then I said can I have a pic? yup so I was still kind of nervous and I asked Ivan to take the pic! and I was not thinking because I was fine with just Danny in the pic!! and then Ivan said do you want one with him and Im like oh yeah sure!! almost fainting!!! LOL
Anyway he said he was tired and he looked tired so I said okay see you tomorrow!! saying that to Danny Gokey was so bizarre!! anyway went back to my room and screamed and danced in my room!! got on the laptop and told you all I met him in the lobby of the hotel and then finally got my twit pic up!
Could barely sleep that night thought about going up to his room knocking on the door and saying room service!! LOL but Im not in anyway a stalker! I thought I heard him walk in the hallway a few times talking laughing.. And just knowing Danny Gokey was in the same building as me made my heart palipatate! all night long! LOL anyway Monday morning got up and dressed and could not wait to see him again and to see him sing too!!!
Got to the station fans gathering- then we got to go back and see him what a moment! even though I just saw him!! He sang so incredibly awesome 5 songs and then after that I went up to greet him again in a long line of fans!!!! when I got up to him!! i went SQUEEEE and I asked him if I could video tape some shout outs and bless his heart he said sure!! So I was filming Danny Gokey just inches away from him!! I did all I could to keep focused!!LOL here is the video- fangirly moments- in the video- CARRY ME DEB!!! oh yes I loved that part!!! Will never forget those words he said to me! I would Carry Danny anywhere! =) although he might be a little too heavy too carry!!! LOL and when he joked with me about Lisa..so cute! HE knows Im a goofball so he could joke with me!! and It was like meeting an old friend too!!! its so cool how he just studied the names on the paper I gave him..Hes a studier I can tell!=) and he had a hard time reading my writing (I scribbled fast the names in line cause I lost the original nice typed written one) LOL part of the video did not get on there could not get sound to work and names and all of twitter buddies and some more joking around at the end!!!=) what was awesome too he knows all of us on twitter!! and he knows us by our twitter names!! =)
After that I got a pic with him at the radio station here it is!! (some of the video did not turn out there was more on it I apologize for that!! some more really funny goofy stuff!) on there he is so cute! but anyway after that I got to get a 2nd pic with him that the Radio station K102 took for me..here it is!!
Then I went over and visited Dannys Band Ivan Def and Bfraley awesome guys so sweet and took a pic
then I visited a little more and then I left..went back to my car and sat there in a daze for what took place for me in the last 2 days!! Then I drove home.. And I realized something as I was driving had I decided not to go down to eat or the whirlpool area and just had room service I would have missed on the opportunity completely!!! or had my door not been able to open! Its crazy how things happen and in the perfect timing! I just happened to be at the right place at the right time!!!
Ive been in Danny-Land all week!!! so I decided I better start this re-cap and get the videos done!! so here I am on my laptop still in Dream land and the end of my story is this I recorded a song called Crazy Dreams!! for all of you who still have not met Danny Gokey!! I want to share that with you and exhort you and remember this!!! if you have a DREAM go after it it might be to be a famous singer to be an actress/actor to be a fashion designer or a Football player or to meet a famous person..Dreams come true all things are possible with God. I met a famous person my first time ever!!! Danny Gokey!!! in a way
I never dreamed and in a place (Hotel) I never dreamed! this is my story and this is my CRAZY DREAM!!! There might have been some other stuff but I cant remember it all!! it was a DREAM LOL So keep dreaming AND DREAM ON!!!! and your dreams will come true when you least expect it…!!! And every-time I think about this dream I SMILE!=)

Hi Deb. What a great job you did and a really fun read, I couldn’t understand all of your words to your song, but i liked the beat and music. You did a good job of singing.
I didn’t get to go to Iheart site today, I was so busy, but this made my day! Yeah. So glad for you, and Deb, I still don’t believe in coincidences for believers.
So happy for you that you got to meet Danny in a relaxed atmosphere where you could have a few moments to chat and then see him after the show too. woohoo!

The song I recorded was along time ago and not great quality sorry about that I will keep working on it though because I love to so do it and touch other people with my voice written songs and my goofy BBTS>>!!! Deb, I am not a frequent poster but I do lurk on iheart daily and I just want to say Congratulations on having such a memorable experience meeting Danny and sharing it with us. I met him in Grafton on 11/28 flew from NY to see him and to also meet some of the fans from iheart it was a day I will never forget and I hope to have many more days like that, I plan to follow his career (not in a stalker kind of way)and attend a few more concerts. It is Thanks to him that we have made so many new friendships. Thank you for sharing and keep following your dreams. Toni

Oh my gosh thank you so much I am crying Jason for real right now!!! those were the nicest things anyone’s ever said to me!!! Thank you so much=) Glad you enjoyed the re-cap=) there was just so much that happened in those 2 days its hard to put it all down on paper..=)I know I missed some stuff!!=)
I have been trying for so many years working at singing and entertaining but never video-taped anything until a few months ago.. and ya know Im not afraid anymore..what people think of it! I used to be but ya know you just gotta get out and do it The reason I do these things BBTS videos etc.. I love to do it!! Its fun and I love to sing act goofy and entertain write songs!! its been in my heart for years but this is the first time Im starting to let it out and with people like you in the world with those kind words of encouragement only help me to just Go out there and DO IT!! Ive gotten 4 of BBTS featured!! I am so excited about that too!! NOT JINGLE BELLS but some other ones LOL=)
And yeah my time with Danny was amazing..It was memories I will never forget!! We talked shared and laughed! it was soo cool! I just knew he knew me and felt comfortable right away with me! How cool is that? And I will see him again when he comes here and he will!=) Again thank you for taking the time in writing that to me and YES Im going after my dreams now to sing!! and entertain and bring joy to someone else through that and just being silly at times..We all need to laugh right???? and yeah Carrie Underwood is a huge challenge!! People have no idea how hard it is to sing her songs.. but I love her songs and passion she sings with..Im not Carrie Underwood and never will be thats not my goal but to take her song and change it up some!that is my goal and what I love to do!! Just what Simon said to do=)MAKE IT YOUR OWN! and Im bold and a risk taker!
You need to be to pursue your dream=) It just does not fall in your lap!it takes hard work and being willing to take risks! and of course I love everything Danny Gokey sings!!! I guess in closing I want to inspire people not to quit and go after their dreams too!! Because Danny gave me back my DREAM!=) and i told him that=)and He encouraged me too!=)when I saw him!!
