Goodmorning Ihearts!!! I guess our international fans are busy this weekend!!! I hope everyone have a safe holiday and a beautiful weekend, I know the weather is Geering up for a serious snow storm!! however, I pray that we still enjoy enough parts of the weekend up to the holidays!! It was Friggin awesome to see the Manny in action last night!! Danny and Matt gave us a Bubble Tweet last night, How cool is that??!! Matt tweeted that he was ridin a Corvett, he didn’t indicate what color, but man he was ridin in style!! we thought Matt and Danny was going to go ridin in Nashvegas lastnight but that didn’t happen
!! Danny is so discipline, it seems?!! hopefully we will get another bubble tweet Soon!!!
Hello Gokey ladies and guys! I had a crazy day yesterday and did not have any time to visit Dannyland. Caught up with all news this morning and was laughing so hard when I watched Manny’s bubble tweet! Those two are a breath of fresh air when acting silly!
Amy & Co, thank you so much for the recaps from Coyote Joe. It’s great that I get to live all the excitement of you ladies meeting Danny and hearing his awesome voice live! I’ll be there one day to hear him sing live!
Latrece, if you are still here? Have a lovely weekend and hope to be able to chat with you before Xmas.
Xmas is coming really fast and this weekend is the only time I have to do Xmas preparations. Even though we are not buying presents and saving that way a lot of time, one still has to clean the house and decorate it etc.
However busy it gets over the weekend I’ll drop by occasionally to say hello. Enjoy your weekend and don’t get too stressed with Xmas preparations.

Heading out for the weekend to the inlaws, but thought I’d say Hi first.
Latrece, I hope you don’t get dumped on too badly! We are headed north to LaCrosse area so will avoid the snow. I loved the Manny tweet and pic, soooo sweet. I hope those guys can spend the whole weekend together! Weren’t Danny’s eyes beautiful when he took off his glasses?
Hannele, are you starting to feel like you are under control yet? I bet you need a vacation to recuperate from your Africa trip. I’m really excited that maybe we will have a recap/pics on some slow Jan or Feb day from you.
Mr. Bing; you must be sooo impatient for Christmas to be over, so the songs will be out of the way, Danny’s song to move up the charts and video to come out! I celebrate, but am kinda anxious too, does that make me a bad person ?!

How exciting we had such exciting recaps and great videos from –but did I miss Steph’s?
Maryann, I noticed the pull up bar in the door frame (in the photo) and yes, I’ve been keepin’ a special watch on Danny’s biceps. A demo video would be VERY nice….. I also loved seeing him with the guitar. Sexy, eh?
Great news last night from Lizzy and FOG on Danny’s rise in the spins etc. Maybe I’ve been in Dannyland too long (duhh…) but I can’t see how this man isn’t going to be a great big star. I loved Amy’s video of Holy Night–when he winds up and sings those big notes–wow. I want a Danny christmas album now!
Well it’s Christmas cookie baking day at my house. Dannyland has definitely cut into my productivity….but I have to get off the computer before my daughter (Leah) catches me with Danny again. She’s trying to understand my addiction–but I can’t be all fanygirlly like I’d like to be with all of you.

I haven’t tried to figure out about the charts, especially when we have others who are so good at bringing that here. Do still try to look for interesting items on twitter or the other AI / country blogs as I have time.
Jan, I didn’t write a formal recap but did post my comments about Coyote Joe’s into the discussion thread late-ish on Thursday after I got back home. I also posted a summary from Amy (aek) which I’d seen on mj’s. Was glad to meet her at Coyote Joe’s after seeing her writing at that site for such a long time while I was lurking, and then later posting.
I must have missed some photos of Danny if there’s one with a guitar, will have to look for that. I may owe him an apology as I would have guessed he hadn’t had time to practice with it at all.

I checked all access this morning and MBD moved up to 116 spin increase with 33 stations on the spincrease chart. Can’t wait for MBD to show up on the 7 day report in the top 50. That should happen after the holidays.
Also forgot to mention I am sitting at home in the middle of a blizzard (YAY). We are expecting over 20 inches of snow. Glad I have all my shopping done – just have to wrap presents.

So since today is a snowy yucky day for most of us in the Eastern US,I was just thinking about Danny’s visit to the Grand Old Opry.
I was just reading the site and they were stating that this is a mix of styles including oldtime Country and the new country, but I remember when Carrie first performed she did a Classic Country song. So the project for today if you choose to accept is if Danny chooses to include some Classic country which song should he do? My vote is for either a Johnny Cash or Patsy Cline, possibly Crazy. While it is not necessary for him to do so I think this will help ease the transition with the distractors and maybe keep them quite for awhile.

Danielle P, which site were you reading where it talks about the mix of styles?
When a lot of people were posting ideas about what Danny should record for his album, one of my thoughts was that he should pick some older classic country song as a cover for the album. To show what he could do with it, and also sort of as a little respect to the history of country music. Was never able to think of the right song, though.
Lizzy, thanks for the update on the charts. It surprised me what you said about that two-week rule before songs go recurrent. That seems really strict. Seems like they should give songs a chance for a couple of months at least, to see how they do before starting to want to retire them based just on a two-week trend. That could mean a top-ranked song that dipped a little for two weeks would be totally retired? Seems very weird, unless there are other charts that would carry the real data for which songs are played most.
Good morning from a very snowy PA! How fun was it to see a Manny bubbletweet late last night??? Would have loved to have been there with Matt visiting Danny, bet they had a blast and some good music going on, too. Love seeing Danny with his guitar! Hopefully one day we will get treated to him playing it as he sings.

steph I saw that news feature on Danny and his video shoot too. I like that we got a chance to see a little of what went on at Danny’s video shoot. I think that his video will definitely end up looking professional looking.

Btw, I went out for a few minutes to go to the Post office and it is nasty out there. I’m in Ohio and they mentioned on the radio that West Virginia is under a State of Emergency so If you are in the Tri-state area and have to go out be careful or just stay home until tomorrow.

FoGS, that loft environment (?) reminded me a little of where one of the Rascal Flatts videos was shot. I forget which one, if I’m thinking of the right video. I see you beat me posting a link to the Fox 17 piece at mj’s, lol. I put it at a couple of other sites, and tried to add some comments to some of the country blogs I missed last week when I didn’t have a lot of time for the computer.
Snow is still coming down hard here, think I’ve given up on shoveling so staying indoors seems like a fine idea for the day. They haven’t even been out yet to plow my street once.

Was looking at the other videos from WSOC. Appears David Nail did get a great reception by the time he got to singing his hit Red Lights. Seems to be a nice crowd out there, possibly larger than Danny had. When I saw David though, for his first three songs, the crowd was noticeably thinner than Danny had, and didn’t seem terribly excited to see him.
Seems to me the crowd is liking the song Red Lights and they know it from the radio or video. But not sure David’s that dynamic a performer to watch live. He’s singing a lot of the song almost to himself with his eyes closed. Very different from Danny’s much more open style always reaching out with eye contact and smiles, talking to the crowds.

FYI: Just to let everybody know, helio is snowed in with no internet and no cable. She just called me and asked me to please let everybody know she’s okay, just really missing being online both on iheart and twitter.
I don’t know if I am overreacting or not but that clip of the music video with Danny in it was freakin awesome!! I thought Danny conveyed so much passion in it!! I am sure the finished product is going to look professionally done. I cannot wait until the video comes out!! OMG!! a concept video is slightly different from a performance video, in that, it is not about the performance, but it is about the message they are trying to communicate.
I am not sure if they are going to have other Actors in the video ( it is possible they will), however, it is not going to meet your standard music video; I am so grateful that the label chose to do a concept video because then the focus gets to be on Danny’s message in the music, instead of the typical dance and sing video, the Concept video FITS Danny Perfectly!! he looked sooo cute!! but his fingers were blue from the cold!!

Danielle, I don’t think we’ll be seeing that warehouse in the background of Danny’s video. They will intersperse appropriate “background” that will play out behind him, and the only part of the warehouse we will see is Danny, as he was taped for the video. The background will be “filled in” with the different signs (video added behind him)to implement and match the lyrics of the song as Danny is performing. Don’t know if that makes much sense but what we will probably see is a running “movie” to fit the lyrics, in the background, with Danny in the foreground, singing. He probably won’t be actually acting with or communicating with anyone on a personal basis.

Also his song is released for sale on Amazon UK tomorrow. I am definitely interested in seeing how he sales in the UK. It would be cool if he could sell decently over there. Danny fans can get really excited! There was one girl at Coyote Joe’s (not anyone I knew from here) who just shrieked out I Love You Danny right near me. Quite ear-splitting, lol, esp the third time she did it. Danny heard it, and just laughed (in a nice way).
Mj just posted a separate thread on her site about Danny’s music video shoot. In her opening write up for the thread she insinuates that Danny will be preaching with signs in his video.
I wish that she wouldn’t have made that dig at Danny, but I guess she probably felt that she “had” to, there’s probably too much positive commentary about Danny on her site for her, and she had to say something negative about him.
I see that some haters are already commenting on the thread about Danny, even though they didn’t say anything about him and his music video when discussion of that was going on in today’s headline thread.

Off the negative and on to more interesting things. I went back to look at the news clip about the video and decided to look at some of the others while I was there.
I watched the Jason Micheal Carroll clip and the talked about first album and the success that it was. The figure the quoted was $500,000 in sales which translates in to about 50,000 albums. I remember reading about Chuck Wickes (?) a labelmate and I believe his album has sold about 150,000 copies. This was very interesting to me because I beleive we get sucked in to the Carrie Underwood effect and think everyone sells like her, when in actuality they don’t.
Now this is important because getting the contract is one thing for any artist but keeping is another thing altogether.
While Pop artist need to sell close to a million copies to be considered a success that really isn’t as necessary for Country artists. All this as we come closer to the beginning of Danny’s sale cycle is that the label has a goal in mind and that maybe it does not need to be world domination.
So no matter what the numbers are this week don’t let what happens on the other sites bring you down (think Susan Boyle)but if his numbers are amazing, and I think they will be good, then we can go and rub there noses in it and have the last laugh.

Danielle, I’m sort of feeling we should judge the success of Danny’s single sales in January sometime. After the holiday and after the video is up running on GAC and CMT.
I hope he does amazingly at iTunes on Monday, but with that just a few days before Christmas and people focusing on holiday preparation, seems to me that will need to be taken into account. On the other hand, if not much new music is releasing that day, he might pop up pretty high on the sales charts. I guess we haven’t seen anywhere how many singles Michael Sarver sold the day his single supposedly got to somewhere in the 50s on the iTunes country chart. Not sure how many sales it takes to go high on the country charts, especially on what may be a slower week.

Nice to see that MJ is posting alot me Danny stuff. I can honestly say that compared to the summer, the haters are really no coming out in force so this is vast improvement. I posted some of my own personal thoughts.
On another note, keep calling the radio stations. I called mine at noon and the weekend DJ didn’t know Danny. I enlightened him – nicely of course. I remembered to tell him my name and my city first so he didn’t think I was from the management or label. He got played around 3 this afternoon. Every spin counts.
Do you all still need instructions for iTunes and amazon. Erika and I tried the itunes for international and that did not work. Alternative #2 is to buy the record from itunes, convert to mp3, and email to out international friends. If still interested I think I can find the time to whip somehting up.

I see that some more haters are coming out at mjs blog criticizing Danny. While the haters do like to come out and attack him especially when things are going well for him. I feel like the intro she did for the thread about his video shoot, was kind of “invited” the haters to attack him.
In the headline threads, I don’t think that anyone was attacking him. It was pretty positive, because his fans were posting setting the tone for that discussion. When mj wrote that intro about his video shoot thread, she set a tone, that IMO, invited people to bash him.
This is not the first time she’s done that to Danny. She’s posted threads about him and the christian singer Rachel Lampa, comments on the finale thread as well as other threads, that have set a tone, that makes it seem like she’s “inviting” people to hate on Danny.
I think that she does have some influence over a lot of her posters, and I dislike how she has practically encouraged as well as allow them to tear into Danny the way they have.

I don’t mind some minor snark at mj’s. Especially with his single just about to hit iTunes, it’s better for Danny to get the visibility even if some of it is hater-ish. Plenty of fans posting now to take on and rebut the dumber hater comments.

I definitely don’t like to see the Danny hate anywhere. I don’t like to see it on mjs or Top Idol. I think that the people hating on him are not going to buy his music.
I think that he would be better off if he had a lot more fans posting at sites like mjs(I don’t think that it would do much good posting at Top Idol, that site is like VFTW) showing support for him. That way threads at sites like mjs would still get a lot of responses, most of them are positive about Danny.
A lot of people on the Internet do like to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to things, and that is one of the reasons why Danny is hated as much as he is. People like mj who have blogs act like it’s cool to snark/bash Danny, and other people jump on board,and then we have internet communities of people hating on Danny.
I am beyond tired of the Danny hate, it’s been going on almost year long and it’s still going on, even though Season 9 is about to start in a few weeks. It will probably be going on once he releases his album.
I think that Danny needs more fans supporting him on places like mjs, giving him positive comments that will generate more postive attention for him. I have noticed that when a lot of Danny fans post at places like mjs people are less likely to criticize him.
I have seen haters say they thought about criticizing him, but stopped when they saw the fan support he was getting on some threads. When more haters are posting, people tend to jump on the Danny hate bandwagon.
I hope that Danny gets good attention for his single, but I am definitely tired of the Danny hate.

A lot of them can’t stand to see him do well. The haters typically either like to bash Danny if he does well, or ignore him. Sometimes they lay off of him, when there are a lot of positive comments from Danny fans about him in a thread.

I’m sure that it gets tiring watching people try to tear into Danny, but don’t take it to heart. Posting to a blog is just a release to them and there are alot that don’t even bother anymore which is great. By MJ posting that today it gave Danny’s fans a chance to talk up all the good thats happening and make a very visible appearance for him. There is no way everyone is going to like him but as long as the people that do out numbers the others it’s all good. You have to remember that what MJ posts is to illict replies and with the 43 responses that his section has on it today (the most in a long time) it seems to have worked. All you can continue to do is come here for comfort and treat the other a vessel for getting out the word. Believe me there are alot of people out there that like getting the news but would never post. Just look at me today, if the weather was better i might not have tried to register again and do all the posting that I have done, but I do read every post every day on a bunch of sites. I just dismiss the one that seem distasteful no matter who’s thread they are in .

And he will continue to do well. Even though Danny gets a lot of hate, I have always known that most people don’t hate him and that he has more fans that haters. That might not be reflected on the Internet but it is reflected outside the internet, and that matters more, that what happens on the Internet.
People definitely like to talk about Danny good or bad, and a lot of people in the entertainment business would say that’s a good thing. I think that he will end up getting a lot of attention for his single and album, maybe not on the Internet, but definitely outside it. I think that he will end up gaining a lot of new fans outside of the Internet in the general public.

You can blame the snow for my excessive posting today. It is piled high outside my front door, don’t really much want even to take my dog for a walk! So have been wandering around online to take my mind off my guilt for not shoveling
I don’t mean to say I like people posting hater-ish things online at sites like mj’s, but as long as there is a healthy range of opinion I’m ok with it. When only supporters post, it can be hard to sustain interest, and I think people like mj and other site managers look at how many posts a given topic gets when they decide what articles to run. It’s good for Danny if articles about him draw a lot of posts, even if some of it is debate. Either way, it’s more hits on their site and more traffic to support advertising probably.
Her posts about Adam for example get large numbers of posts, but not all in synch saying favorable things. There are some detractors, and fans who fight with each other over things important and silly.

Danny will always have his critics. Just like Adam and Kris also have people that do not like them. That’s part of being in the public eye.
Also, MJSBlog is far from a mainstream, legit critics’ source. It is nothing more than a gossip site. Actually, anyone can create a website and blog. MJ is not someone who actually works in the industry – or even knows that much about Country music.
And in all fairness, the hate against Danny has subsided. I think most people have moved on. And when the new season of Idol begins, the haters will find someone else to pounce on.
And when you think about it, the haters really had little impact on Danny’s career. They never stopped him from being very popular on the tour. They never stopped him from scoring a major record label. They never stopped him from having one of the biggest names in Country music work with him.
And I doubt they would have any impact on the sales of his single and album.

Also I agree think that sites like mj does tend to post topics based on who normally draws the most attention, which is normally Adam and sometimes Kris.
I think that It’s good if Danny gets a lot of attention as he has during different times this year, like when people were speculating about his record contract. I think that it’s a good thing when there is a lot of interest in him.
I admit I don’t like to see all of the hate, especially when it tends to dominate various sites. But I know that there will always be people hating on Danny, and I am glad when some of his fans post in support of him.
I think that a lot of the Danny hate has caused a lot of people who like Danny, to feel uncomfortable about voicing their opinions about him.
And it has caused people to have an inaccurate perception of him and what type of fan support he has. It causes people to jump on the bandwagon hating Danny and people are less likely to give him and his music a chance once they jump on the bandwagon hating on him.
I have seen a lot of people act shocked, when they learn how well he’s doing in the start of his career. And a lot of people act shocked when they find out that he had a lot of fans on tour.
And I wouldn’t be surprised if people act shocked if he does well on Itunes. Because of a lot of the hate that Danny got this year, there are still people that refuse to accept the fact that a lot of people like him and that he has a good shot of doing well in Country music.
But in spite of those things, I am glad that Danny is doing well and I am glad that he has fans that will support him.
I think that he will definitey generate a lot of attention, and while some of that attention will be negative, that a good amount of it will be good attention as well. Especially as he grows as a country artist and continues to have good things happen for him in his music career.

Mr. Chandler Bing, I am uncertain about how big, Danny’s online fanbase is. I do believe that he has a big fanbase in general. I think that the vast majority of his fans are offline. And I hope that a lot of his fanbase offline in addition to his fans online will support him and buy his music.
Danny doesn’t really have a lot of vocal online fans. Those of us that vocally support/defend him are a pretty small number. But he does have a big Twitter following, people on facebook, myspace and youtube who support him. I do hope that a lot of these people will show up and buy his single next week. And buy his album in March. I hope that Danny just has a lot of “quiet” fans who will buy his music when it comes out.
I am concerned that a lot of people online might not buy his music. Because I see that Adam and Kris didn’t do so well with singles sales, when their singles first came out when their online fanbases were the first ones to learn about their single releases.
I thought that Adam and Kris would sell a lot more singles than they did. Because I thought their fanbases were larger than Danny and because they have a lot more vocal fans online than Danny does. But they didn’t sell that many singles when their singles came out.
I just hope that Danny does have a lot of online fans who will buy his music next week and in March, even though they are mostly quiet when it comes to him.

Hey, Steph, FOGs, Danielle, Surf, and MCB–I just got back from checking out MSJ’s. I’ve sure seen worse. Thanks for all of you that post interesting and supportive Danny items. I rarely post there. I think a lot of Danny’s fans are like me. We want Danny news, but we don’t like to wade into the fray. Heck, I lurked here for 2 to 3 months before I posted! I agree with others that the online criticm of DG has faded–and will likely have very little if any impact on Danny. While for many, Danny has been in the shadows, (while he does low key radio promotion and small venues) he’s about to step into the light and his MANY fans will be glad to see him back!
Besides, he sounds awesome, he’s improving on his interviews and he’s great with a live audience and his fans. (We all just want to hug him…..) Jan

In relation to the question about Danny’s online fanbase, it seems to be smaller or at least less in-your-face vocal than Adam’s. And maybe Kris’s.
But if you look at how active typical country music fans are online, not sure. Danny may compare well from that point of view, certainly his twitter following is large in comparison.
For all their success this year, Lady A has 60,000 followers on twitter. Danny is approaching 105,000. Rascal Flatts has just under 50,000, and Brad Paisley has under 85,000. Sara Evans, on Danny’s label, has barely 8000.

Opening of the audio for the introduction to It’s Only – World Premier when he called into the radio station in Milwaukee. That’s where I remember hearing about a room in Nashville and one in Milwaukee.

My opinion on Adam/Kris fans… There is ALOT of piracy of their music. All the people I know who have their music on their ipods did not pay for it.
Not saying that I have a copy of Danny’s music on my ipod but if I did you can be darn sure that I will be buying it on Monday. Having a rough day and listening to Danny on repeat, trying to drive the funkiness away. Tried to read some of the things at MJ”s about the video but it was just making me feel worse.
My son flew up to Norfolk last night to see his father who’s back from sea duty for the holidays. He hasn’t seen him in over two years, but I’m missing him terribly. Dunno what I’ll do with myself when he leaves for college.
Other then that I think I just have the holiday blues. Tired of living with my in laws and ready to get out in our own house again after my husband lost his job and we lost the house.
Anyways, could use lots of prayers and positive thoughts. I gotta pull myself outta this hole before I wallow in it.

Hallo all- it`s very late here, I haven`t read the posts, will do tomorrow, or later on today- I have a mystery, if anyone who knows anything about computers can help me with-this might be quite long-After going to Amazon-I discovered it is PLAY.COM that has Danny`s single for download today- I should explain that my computer has 2 users, Myself and my daughter-right-now my daughter has the account at PLAY.COM-so I always download and then put the song on my Mobile phone memory stick- then transfer to my media player-I did this last week with another song and it worked fine- I have now been over an hour trying to find My Best Days on the memory stick..Yes, I out it back inthe phone and it`s there-perfect-but it isn`t listed on the screen when I put the stick into the laptop- I looked deeper and found only one thing listed for todays date-and it is some kind of dodgy website that is being pevented from entering my laptop by security-OMG-PLEASE don`t tell me that RCA have `added` something to the download- I could `allow` it, but I`m scared it`s some virus- Any ideas? because I was so happy to download it-now I can`t get it onto my media player
