Ok guys – I just want to give my opinion on Danny’s songs  I have to say I really love ‘Tiny Life’ & ‘Be Somebody’. Of course ‘It’s Only’ , ‘My Best Days’ & ‘I Still Believe’ are excellent songs!!
My point is that I like a song to ‘grow’ on me and each and every one of these songs has. This to me is a sign of an incredibly well thought out album! In today’s times, you buy a CD with a few tracks that are good but the rest are ‘throwaway’. I believe that Danny’s album will NOT have any ‘throwaway’ tracks on it!
Each of those tracks has a message; the upbeat songs make your foot tap and your head bob. The slow, emotional songs make your eyes misty and your heart ache. This is truly a sign of a quality album.
I have said before I prefer the days when songs entered the charts and took their time to ‘climb’. Unfortunately in the UK, this is no longer the case.
I will be buying Danny’s CD and will enjoy playing it over and over again, without ever being bored. I am sure it will continue to ‘grow’ and if it makes me think about what I can do to help someone less fortunate than myself – then job done!!

CAROLE – I have a penfriend in North Carolina who I can ask to buy a copy of the CD (when it’s released in March)for me – if you would like, I can ask her to buy you one too. She will mail them to me and I can then mail it to you. Just a thought!

MARYANN – Isn’t it great and comforting to know that Danny is such a great role model for your children? The fact he took the time and trouble to talk to your daughter and sign her guitar strap etc…is proof enough of his thoughtfulness and maturity beyond his years. The songs he sings are inspiring and I am sure your daughter will grow to appreciate the meaning of them.

Check out Ashley’s videos on the homepage all, if you’d like to see Danny’s full performance from Philadelphia on Wednesday. Apparently, she is a media person. Interesting. Wonder if she had a chance to interview him at some point, as she didn’t ask any questions during the question period.

Also, Julie. I think everyone came away from their few minutes with Danny feeling as if he cared. There isn’t a fake bone in his body.

Good Morning,

I started a thread on Danny’s official to post news on Danny’s promo radio tour. We post so many links to pictures, videos, news, reviews, etc from each stop on Danny’s radio tour here and I thought it would be a good idea to post that same info on Danny’s official site. Not everyone knows about this Danny fansite and other great sites and I want new fans to have access to the same Danny info we have. Could use some help, hint hint Steph, FOGS, Pam.

Oh my gosh guys, I don’t even care that I missed this morning’s Danny show. I am so over the moon with the fact that Ashley posted the full videos from my show!

I can see the exact moment when my daughter and I come in late, and he smiles at us (first time he sings MBD are ahead of me chorus, and can hear myself saying ‘WOW’ on the video and see him smiling in my direction as an acknowledgment of hearing me express my wonderment at the total experience of seeing and hearing him (right after he sings ‘Don’t get caught in some sad memory’)! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I can’t stop listening to “BE Somebody.” I think this is my favorite for now, at least until the next new song. LOL

I agree with Julie, no throwaway songs. There is not a song I don’t like!!

He continues to amaze me, he must be a quick read. These aren’t some little songs with repetitive words. These are meaty songs for sure. His voice seems to be holding up fine. Couldn’t be more happy for him.

Morning! Well, looks like I overslept and missed seeing Danny this morning, goshdarnit! Hopefully there will be videos of it posted somewhere, and soon!

I don’t see any news of him appearing at any other radio stations next week so if anyone gets a schedule, please post. Dream Center Sunday, so it would be only three days before he starts shooting the video for MBD on the 17th and 18th so he might not be doing much except for Coyote Joe’s on Wednesday night.

Family wedding tomorrow and I’ll be having out of town relatives here this weekend so probably won’t be on much but I will definitely be sneaking in here every now and then for my Danny fix as often as possible!

pjgvet: Couldn’t sleep last night so was up loitering on iheart, I sent you a reply and then realized you probably wouldn’t see it. I wish we could have been at the band concert, but we will be down there at Christmas.
I have tried going to Danny’s web site, but find it hard to navigate, much easier to have all comments in one place, than have to look at several forums.
I am not much of a talker on here, but I do take it all in, and love Danny. Does anyone agree with me, that Tiny Life seems to be sung to the same music as What Hurts The Most?

I think the Milw. station won’t play his song until official add date. Not sure if its because the manager isn’t a fan, or just doesn’t want to be accused of being a “fanboy”, lol.
I’m not going to worry about it unless they won’t play him once his add date is here.

I can see some similarities to WHTM- quiet refrain and big chorus, but it doesn’t strike me as that similar.

I just came back from that place. I have been calling it the ‘Dark Side’. It is a mess over there!

I am thinking I need a second shower now, because I am feeling like I just rolled through a mud puddle. I simply cannot imagine what motivates these people to come to a good man’s site and dirty it up so.

Hi Everyone, Latrece, I missed you again Danny sounded “Awesome” this morning. He sang “tiny life” the DJ’s really loved it. It was a really cute funny interview. They joked around a lot. Danny talked about wanting to tour with Rascal Flatts and his manager talked to their manager and still waiting to hear. It wasn’t a really long interview. I really think “tiny life” is going to be a big hit.

The thing that bothers me most about the new site, is that these loons are stealing Danny’s joy, and deterring new fans that might just make it to his site from ever coming back again.

Shirl I have been on his site. It is amazing how immature and disrespectful people can be. Gotta pray for them and hope one day a light goes off in their head. I find myself not even wanting to go the site, but I know I have to support Danny in every way I can. I’ve been really busy at work and haven’t found a lot of time to go there yet. Dee I figure I won’t respond to any of that stuff because it just keeps the discussion going which is what the haters always want. I hope they eventually get bored talking to themselves and move on to their sad lives. In some ways I think they must really be captivated with Danny. I love him and don’t find as much time as they do to make comments on the site! For someone they claim to dislike, they sure are willing to take time out of their lives to talk about him. I don’t think about other idols, much less take time to go on their fansites to write about them! Those haters should take some time to examine why they are so preoccupied with Danny!

My 2 cents here:

I think we should stop talking about how “awful” his site is.

There are many lurkers and we could be discouraging others to even check it out. Which would be terrible, and playing right into the true haters hands.

Like I said, its not that bad anymore, compared to the first day, and I’ve seen much worse. The ONTD (most of them) try to be funny, and aren’t as hateful as many I’ve seen.

Ignore, be patient, and post positively. Just what Danny would do

Hi everyone! I’ve only posted here once before quite awhile ago, as “Polly”, but I thought I’d change my name to match how some of you know me on MJs and how I’ve signed up on Danny’s new site. I’ve “lurked” here enough to feel that I’ve gotten to know and like this group, and I consider FOGS and Amy (the new one!) to be kind of “war buddies” in a way from our times together on Danny threads at MJs. Oh my goodness that has been a trial sometimes, but it’s better now thank heavens!

I wanted to speak up to let you know that the “Josie” on Danny’s site is me, since some of you know me a little bit. I’ve been trying to respond to positive threads, and I just started one there. So please watch for me there, and I’ll watch for all of you, and we’ll turn it into a place that Danny will be proud of!

I think that’s great that the DJ’s from WGAR really liked “Tiny Life”. I think that’s it’s a really good song. I had missed Danny’s interview with them this morning and also another interview he did with another station today, but hopefully someone will post those links on this site later on.

I am glad that Danny is getting more adds, the stations that are adding him are definitely more likely to play his song more than stations that haven’t added him so far.

The more adds he gets, the better off he is. I think that we will definitely see an increase in adds after Danny’s song officially goes for adds next week.

Also, in less than two weeks we will be able to buy Danny’s song “My Best Days” and he will be shooting his video next week. I am excited about these things that are coming up for Danny.

HI beautiful ladies!!! if it is your desire to visit Danny’s official site, by all means do not allow the haters, insults, childishness, foolishness, immaturity and insanity detour you!! Danny’s skin is thick now due to all the hate that he has received during American Idol, he is not some wimpy, weak and fretting type of person. We realize his good nature and beautiful spirit but he is not immune to hate/insults, it is a part of the human family. It is quite obvious that all the mockery is related to the haters feeling threaten!! they can not take POWER away from us nor Danny, we give it to them when we are too delicate to stand up against the Charade!! this is not the time to draw back!! we did not go looking for trouble, we are trying to prevent further poison from taking over on Danny’s and our territory!! yes I said it, OUr territory; his site was created for his fans, so it is our territory!! I know this is OT, but Michelle Duggar from the TLC cable TV show “18 and Still Counting” just had her 19th child. She was born very prematurely and only weighs 1 lb, 3 oz.

BTW, I’ve never shared this before, but I am ill, and that is why I don’t post very much, and also why my posts are pretty short. I get very foggy headed.

You can add me to the list of people that have never met Danny. Even though I’m from the U.S., I have a really tough time being on my feet because of pain due to spinal damage, so I highly doubt that I will ever make it to a Danny performance.

But, I love reading everybody’s posts on iheart when I am able to. This is a very warm-hearted group of people. When I do post, my timing is usually off, because I’m out of the loop.

I’ve been in a lot of pain lately and am in physical therapy to regain movement that I’ve lost in my arms. I’m definitely making progress, but it is painful and slow.

Please keep me in your prayers.

Hey everyone! I so wish I could listen to all these amazing radio casts, he just keeps getting better!

Betty, I am so sorry to hear about your health problems and I will definitely say a prayer. Your time to meet Danny will come! Have faith. I’m not giving up, and I know Danny will be back in my town again soon–after all, Nashville is in my neck of the woods!

I haven’t been over to DG yet today, and am bracing myself from what I’ve been reading here. Sounds like things have gotten worse. It breaks my heart how much hatred this beautiful and gentle man has received just for opening up his heart and being such a genuine person. There are times–like right now–I just want to bury my head in my hands and cry. I know Danny is strong and doesn’t let it get to him. If anything, it has made him stronger. But how much hate can one man take, and how must he feel when he sees his OS being treated like a garbage dump and sees so many biting remarks directed at him? It’s just inhumane and so unfair. Danny has done nothing to deserve any of this, his only mistake was making himself so vulnerable on national TV–and he is naive. Seeing what the haters are attempting to do is like watching garbage being dumped all over a beautiful field of flowers. WHY? What is wrong with people?

I’m over there in a few minutes to see what kind of “damage control” I can do.

Maryann, you are too funny, with the “vaporize” button! Normally I have a pretty good sense of humor and can even see the humor in things like the “Idletard” site and laugh at the things they say. I wish I could laugh about this but right now I just can’t.

Here is a recap of Legends from a Gokey Gang member!

I was privileged enough to get to see Danny at a sports bar named Legends about 10 minutes from me. They have a large bar area in the back with a stage set up with chairs. My dil wanted to go but couldn’t get there til 7:45, and he was to appear at 9. I got there at 7, there wasn’t a seat left. we stood at the bar near the back, by 9 you couldn’t move. The people drinking kept rubbing us back and forth when they had to leave to get to the restrooms. Danny came out at 9 and the screaming began. He sang 6 songs total I think. “What hurts the Most”, ” Be Somebody”, “Tiny Life” “my Best Days are Ahead of Me “It’s Only” and one I don’t know the name. The crowd hadn’t heard his new release yet and they loved it. He talked in between songs about idol, Sophia and her charity, where he wants to go now. and he said NO, he didn;t have a contract with lenscrafters. He said it was an honor and privilege to be able to sing for us, that he is blessed. He is truly a sweetheart, so down to earth. I LOVE HIM!
I will look, but the pics I took aren’t good at all, my dil tried to lift the camera and take them, but when we looked last night they were awful

I want to keep it real here – trust me, the haters will go away on Danny’s site – if people continue to IGNORE them. By that, I mean, do not even respond to any of their nonsense.

Most of these posters are tweens who obviously have nothing going on in their lives. Do not reason. Do not try to convert them. They will get bored soon enough.

The worst thing to do is to let them know you are upset, etc. Because they will keep at it.

IGNORE can be very powerful. It’s like saying to a hater “you do not exist as far as I am concern”, “i have never even notice you”

I wasn’t implying Danny is weak in ANY way, but even Hercules might have trouble enduring that kind of hate. But we have to be strong and post positive things and just ignore the haters.

Sorry to not have posted nearly all day. Family in town and it is my daughter’s baby shower tomorrow, also getting ready for a town Christmas parade, giving away hot cider to all cold people (39 degrees predicted).

Anyhooo, If anyone is planning on going to the Charlotte show at Coyote Joe’s they are now pre-selling tickets. Last couple of times I looked the link to pre-purchase tickets wasn’t there. After I heard about the crowds at Legends on a Thursday night I got ansy so I bought a couple of tickets. Better safe than sorry since I am driving 4 hours to see it. All the tickets are “Will Call” so there is no printing or emailing available.

Also, I keep trying to see the concert photos I uploaded but it looks like they are still having problems. I continue to sign in to keep the online numbers up.

Danny is currently #81 on the Country Chart right now. So far he has gotten 70 spins this week, up 15 spins from last week.

Holding steady at 81. That’s good, I guess. It’s great that he’s getting a lot more spins now though. I’m sure when his single goes for official adds on the 14th (only 3 days from now) we’ll see it begin to move up the charts.

I know this was mentioned earlier today, but I just saw the video of 5 questions for Danny from the Academy of Country Music. I posted on GD “Whatever he has done, whatever coaching he received on being interviewed, it is working. He looks very seasoned and has come a long way since his first interviews. He comes across as very smooth. Good interview.” I have heard Danny mention that his first interviews were rough around the edges. In this one he is a pro.

I think that Danny’s song will start to make it’s way up the charts once it officially goes for adds, too Helio. So far he has gotten 8 adds, 4 on Monday, and 1 Today.

He is getting more radio airplay even though he was higher on the chart last week. He has been pretty much holding steady in the early 80’s this week.

Also, I think that after the Holiday season passes, it will be easier for Danny to move up the charts. Because he won’t have to compete with all of the Christmas songs that he is competiting with now.

TheConchCast, I just watched the video “Five Questions” and you are right. His interviewing skills have really improved and he is so much smoother than he used to be. But he hasn’t become boring. His spirit and liveliness are still there. Sounds like growing up Gokey was a lot of fun. Loved the stories about growing up with 5 siblings.

I can’t wait for Danny’s song to be released for purchase. I think that download sales along with more radio airplay will help him move up the charts.

I remember reading that Michael Sarver was ranked like 50 something on the Country charts earlier this week. I also heard that he was ranked like 600 something on Itunes 1000, song chart. Which is good for him especially considering that he didn’t get a lot of promotion.

But I think that Danny can do better than Michael on the Country charts, and Itunes 1000 chart.

I read that Allison’s song FIBOY had fallen out of the Top 1000 songs on Itunes, that Adam’s song were #96 (FYE) and #104 (WWFM) this morning and that Kris is around #31 and has been staying around that rank for a couple of days now. I think that getting good radio airplay is helping Kris out with Itunes sales. Hopefully radio airplay will help Danny out with sales too.

Poor Allison. That’s interesting that Danny’s song would be #66 if it weren’t for the Christmas songs. It will be interesting to see what happens after the 22nd, when it goes for sale, and then after Christmas, when it’s not competing with those songs.

On the mediabase site, I noticed that there are bunch of stations listed under the song analysis link, that Danny hasn’t gotten any airplay from at all.

Do you know why those stations are listed there along with the stations that are playing Danny’s song? I see that more of the stations that aren’t playing Danny’s song have been added to that page. Do you know if those stations are listed because they are stations that have his song and have the option of playing it, but just haven’t played it yet?

Okay I had looked at the list under Song Analysis on the mediabase chart again and I saw that all of the stations that are listed have played Danny’s song at least once, some just haven’t played his song this week.

Danny just got another add for “My Best Days” from a radio station in San Fransico, KBWF-FM. Danny now has a total of 9 adds from radio stations. I am glad that more stations are adding Danny’s song.
