Danny Gokey wowed audiences everywhere on last season’s American Idol, with his soulful vocals and inspiring life story. Danny’s journey on Idol began shortly his wife passed away unexpectedly from complications of heart surgery. She had encouraged him to audition for the show prior to her passing, and from then on he never looked back. After taking home 3rd place in the competition, Danny landed a record deal with RCA Nashville and has released a sunny, uptempo debut single, “My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me.” This song is so encouraging and optimistic that you can’t help but smile when you listen. And knowing what Danny has been through in his life, this is just the perfect fit for him to begin a new chapter and a career in Country music. Go Gokey! Impacting 12/14.
