4 am!? Usually the only I’m up this early is because I haven’t went to bed! But I’m catching a plane outta Milgokey. *sigh* hope the plane is empty. It’s gonna be a long day.
I hope your plane is empty too. Speaking of that, I had a weird dream I was in a plane flying to see Danny in concert somewhere. There were no lights on the plane, and when it landed I couldn’t tell. Then I realized all my clothes were off and I had to put them on quickly because people were leaving the plane. I was supposed to meet some people but I don’t know who they were. Weird dream, but at least I was going to see Danny.

Lori Have a safe flight back! Have you come down from your high from being in Dannyland? Sounds like it was so much fun and Danny was so sweet to his fans. I had nobdoibt it was going to the best weekend for everyone who went!
Helio: Very easy dream to analyze – of course it starts with you wanting to see Danny. The plane flying in the dark and not knowing where it’s flying means you are facing the unknown and not sure what to expect. Being caught offguard when the plane landed and having no clothes on means you are feeling vulnerable and unprepared and you don’t want others to see you that way, so you hastily get yourself together. Not knowing who you are meeting, again, means not knowing what to expect.

Hello GOkey Girls!! I would like to share my wonderful time in Dannyland on Saturday NOV 28th at the Grafton Christmas Celebration!! I woke up very early Saturday at 2am in the Morning!! I was already packed (or so I thought?) and ready to just take a good shower. My departure time from Chicago was at 7:44am, so off I go. I made it to Milwaukee around 11:55am and I waited in the passenger pickup area for the lovely Pam to pick me! LOL. I was so excited, I felt like I was Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ going to see the wonderful Wizard!! Ha ha.
I wasn’t quite sure if I was in the right waiting area so I saw a sister ( African American Female) and I asked her if I was on St Paul street, she said yes , then she asked me where I was from, I told her Chicago, she asked “ are you coming to visit someone” I had a big grin on my face and I stated “Yes I am coning to see you all hometown boy Danny Gokey!!” she looked at me real strange, stopped smiling and told me Bye very abruptly! I didn’t know what to think of that, maybe she was an Adam fan? Well 20-25 minutes later no Pam but her wonderful hubbie showed up. I was quite surprise, because Pam told me She will most likely pick me Up!! Her sweet Hubbie commented “ Pam ditched you for Danny!” Haha; I couldn’t do anything but laugh hilariously! We arrived to the Grafton Parade area within 20minutes but Danny had already came and went so I did not see him at the Parade .
When I first arrived; I was met by our lovely lurker who never posted before, she was so excited!! She ran over to me real fast and gave me a great big HUG! She said anxiously!! “We saw him!” I thought she was VC at first because she has VC’s spicy energy, then I saw all the other Gokey Girls and GUY! (We had one Male Danny lover Jason!!), Michelle, Toni and Jen!! We all gave each other BIG HUGS! Then I saw sweet Little Pam skipping like a happy Kid!! She ran instantly to me and we had big HUGs! We got ready to leave the Parade area because it was over so we went to Pam’s lovely home. When we arrived to Pam’s home, I met the Lovely New Cindy and her beautiful sister and husband, and next I met VC! She was with her sweet Mom, sister and her Charming little niece. I could tell VC was ready to roll!! We all congregated and ate some wonderful food, took some pictures and talked about Danny!!( Oh by th way, in my Mad rush to Milgokey, I forgot my camera!). Then Pam or her husband (I can’t recall who) had this Wonderful idea that we all should take group pictures outside before we leave for the concert. Well we all walked outside, I was the first to get in position. All of sudden, while I was walking across the grass, I saw this fat mouse!! I leaped over him and everyone was wondering why I was doing this high leap!! Then they saw the mouse, then we gasp for a second, but then everyone calmed down to look at the mouse eat Pam’s plant!! I felt the urge to shoo the mouse LOL ha ha but I didn’t want to spoil everyone’s fun! Then it dawn on me, OOH they are Veterinarians, that is the reason they admire and respect EVERY animal!! Ha ha LOL.
We took our group pictures and got prepared to get ready to drive to Grafton School to see Danny. Once we made it to Grafton School, everyone was so excited!! I could feel my anticipation Build up!! Everyone formed a line outside and we held on to our tickets for dear life to get in to see Danny!! We made it through the door, then into the auditorium where we took our random seats. Pam and a few of us sat on the side bleachers close to the stage where Danny would come out thru door!! Good seating YaYY!!
Now my blood was really flowing!! New Cindy and her family were sitting in the lower bleachers in front of me. They started the ceremony off with the School Marching Band; they were an awesome bunch of young kids!! Then the moment arrived!! The announcer introduced Danny and he came thru the door walking really confidently!! He had a swag to his walk!! He looked so handsome and petite with his dark blue pants and vest on, fitting him just right with his famous chain dangling on the side!! By then my peripheral vision was gone, I didn’t notice anyone in the ROOM but Me and Danny LOL!! I could feel myself getting all warm and fuzzy!! Danny started singing “Stand By Me” being that he is such a small frame man (he looks gorgeous in person), I was amazed at how powerful and sultry his voice was in person!! The room vibrated with his voice off the walls!! Everyone in the room hung on to every word that flowed out of Danny’s mouth; he sounded crystal clear and smooth!! Then his first song was over .
My blood was still flowing hot!! I was hungry for more Danny!! He left the stage and then the announcer gave some awards to some of locals in the community. Next, they had a family come on the stage and sing a song I can’t remember because my mind was still on Danny!! Unfortunately, the family members were long winded and the song sounded “not so good” LOL! Then the announcer introduced Danny again back on stage!! I could feel my heart skipping beats! Before he sang, He announced That he will be singing ON American IDOL when his new ALBUM comes out!!! YAYY. Then Danny sung “MY Best Days are ahead of Me” OMG!! I was floating on cloud nine by this point, he sounded oohlala !! I was so close to him, I felt like I could step off the bleachers right into his arms while he sang, but I had to restrain myself ha ha LOL! The next song was “IT’s ONLY” he delivered it so delicately and smoothly like butter!! By this point I was putty, melted completely!! Then he gave Us another number PYT!!! He dashed off the stage and came closer to the audience near my side!! I froze in my seat!! I couldn’t move!! I saw NEW CINDY and her Sister Run directly towards Danny’s side; the only thing I could see was NEW CINDY’s long curly waves floating in the air as she ran closer to the stage where Danny was at. Danny pounced and worked the crowd; he had all the little children jumping while he was singing PYT!! It was awesome!!
Finally, he was done singing, it was VIP TIME!! WE were all trying to figure out where to go to get in line to meet the Man!! The attendants gave us directions; we all got back in line and went thru a side door in the auditorium. Again we held on to our VIP Tickets for Dear life!! As we were going thru the door, the attendants told us we could not take a Photo OP with DannY!! OH NO, my heart sunk!! They felt taking pictures would hold up the line and take too long! Well by his point, me and New Cindy was excited and anxious in line!! As we got closer, New Cindy’s nerves increased more, She said “Latrece we are going to go together” I said that was fine with me, we can go together. We had a strategy that while Danny was signing our Pictures, our sweet lurker would take pictures as we flowed thru the line. As we got closer, New Cindy’s hands started to shake from her nerves; she looked at me and asked “do you know CPR??” I was so puzzled, I wanted to say no!LOL not now! I am off work! But the lurker said “of course she does, so I do I!” I’m thinking oh no!
As we got closer, the security was TIGHT!! They reminded us again no PHOTO OPS! Family members could stand at a distance and take pictures as he signed your autograph but you couldn’t stand on the side of him and take pictures with him. OH of course Hugs were pretty much out the picture! Finally, I and New Cindy were next in line to see Danny!! Security was ruthless!! There were four of them! One look like Bubba, the second one looked like RENEGADE with shades on and the other two looked like ROBO COP, they were serious!! Now it was me and New Cindy’s turn to meet the Man! I felt like I floated over to him, I was on such a high!! I could not believe I was standing in front of him!!
I gave him my picture to sign and I said “hi Danny I’m Latrece” I could tell the bells started going off in his brain, he had this little mischievous grin on his face and he said Latrece “ thank you for all your encouraging emails” BOY ! I was like YEH!! Then he asked me what church did I go to, I told him, and then it time to move on, no hugs! When I got back with the group, I asked did anyone take pictures of me while Danny signed my autograph, well low and behold!! No one took pictures!! Sweet lurker was caught up in Dannyland and forgot to take pictures!! I started to panic! And I told Pam no one took pictures of me!
She was so gracious, she told me to get back in line and just ask Danny for a hug! But poor Pam fell to realize that I was the ONLY African American in the Group, and security recognized me easily, I couldn’t sneak pass security. Then Pam asked one of the attendants if I could get back in line, they told her it was up to someone else’s approval, so we waited , finally, the attendant told me I Could go thru!! I slowly ease my way to security to make sure they wouldn’t get alarmed, and then one of the Security men looked at me real stern and said “didn’t I just see you come thru here??” I said yes but the attendant allowed me thru again, he said OK come on: I dashed over to Danny and asked “ Danny can I have a hug?” he said sure! We hugged and I sniffed oohlala!! SnaP, Pam got the picture! Then Danny told everyone he would give a group hug but no Photo-op or autograph (I’ m assuming he was running short on time). When he got to me again, I hugged him so tight, he had to peel me off of him!! LOL; he smelled fresh as a spring breeze, but no time for kisses!! As he was moving down the line, I got a full bird’s eye view of all his gLory!! He was so sweet, gentle and gracious!! His clothes fit him perfectly, it look as if they were tailored made for his small frame!! It was pure heaven!! !!

It is interesting to hear all of your accounts. Funny thing is, I imagined Danny to be about 5’11″ and of a stocky build. Guess not. No matter! Love him!

Gets me to thinking, that the two of them could really share some vocals in the future. To me, that would be really cool. I’ve said it before, but I can really see Danny being part of band act, as opposed to a single artist. Sometimes that is a huge plus in country. Look at all those great groups!

Mr.Chandler Bing That picture is a picture my sister took while she was waiting in the entrance of the grafton highschool. She was waiting for me to come back from the meet and greet room, when Danny walked out. She waved to him and he waved back and then she decided to get the nerve up to ask him for a picture for me. She asked and he said yes and she took this picture with her phone and surprised me with it when I came out. So I now have this picture on my phone to look at everytime I make a call. About the hug, Danny is a great hugger, he doesn’t just give small hugs. He hugs like he knows you.
What a great time you all had!!! Latrece, I just love your narrative, it’s like I was there. I’m glad you ladies got to meet up!! Two things struck me funny, the lady at airport…what’s up with her and Cindy’s long curly waves floating toward Danny (not sure why that’s funny). Dee Lol The Long Curly hair thing was when my sister went down off the bleachers onto the floor where danny was singing to get some closer pictures and Danny was like a foot away from her and she kept motioning for me to come down but I wouldn’t and she gave me this look like get your butt down here now so I flew off the bleachers to go down there, so I must have moved so fast, all Latrece saw was a flash of my hair. Lol How embarrassing!!!!

I believe Ms. Lizzie is correct. For some time now, she has been posting advice as to how we fans can help Danny achieve his dream. We need to approach this systematically – politely make request for the country stations in our listening area – visit his youtube singles and make sure they get play – visit Sony Music Entertainment’s website and throw Danny some hits. All this helps in some way!

Dee and Maryann- Danny is not really “tiny”; he is average in height I think 5’9″ or so; but he is so much more slender (so funny how all the haters called him fat!) than you would think- because of his guns and big voice and larger than life image on TV you would just think he is bigger. When he hugs you though, you can feel his strength……..I won’t go there
Now Kris Allen, he is def. tiny! I think he is about my height, lol.

Wow, Latrece, what a recap! I felt like I was right there with you. Danny does have a small frame, but he looks much larger in his photos. He is not a “pocket idol” like Kris though, just kind of small boned but yes, I felt his strength when he hugged me. He is no 90 lb weaking.

Danny sounds so relaxed. He is saying he had to work hard to support his desire to do music (driving a truck during the day, and working at tonight) and family. Saying how much he loves Paula. Saying nice things about Ellen, as well.

I had some catching up to do on emails. So, I left the station on live stream just in case. Sure enough, the DJ announces unexpectedly that she has Danny in the studio. WTH? That is all I can say!
He did well. Suppose that is what counts. If we can listen, awesome. I’ll do what I can to track the leads when I can.

Allison Iraheta aims to excite with debut album
LOS ANGELES — Allison Iraheta has come a long way since her awkward first interview with Ryan Seacrest.
The spunky 17-year-old singer, who stuttered and stammered when the “American Idol” host prodded her about school at the beginning of the eighth season, went on to win rave reviews from the judges throughout the competition, standing out early on with a rendition of Heart’s “Alone” and leaving a lasting impression with her take on Janis Joplin’s “Cry Baby.”
It wasn’t enough to win; Iraheta placed fourth behind Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey on the Fox network show. Yet she still snagged a record deal with “Idol” label 19 Recordings and Jive Records. Her album, “Just Like You,” will be in stores Tuesday. The redhead — who’s added purple and pink streaks to her memorable coif — says her pop-rock collection accents her innate edginess.
Unlike other teen “Idols” such as David Archuleta and Jordin Sparks, the plucky Los Angeles native is unapologetic when she speaks, breaking out into goofy voices and using language not found on the Disney Channel. In a recent interview, Iraheta talked about recording her album, gaining confidence and collaborating with another fourth-place “Idol” finisher.
The Associated Press: It seems like yesterday we were at the finale, and now you have an album. How does it feel?
Allison Iraheta: I’m obviously excited, finally getting the album out. (It’s) something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time, just getting to work with awesome producers, doing songs that I can really relate to and just get out there, finally living the dream that I’ve always wanted to but never really thought I would.
AP: What was the creative process like when you were recording this album?
Iraheta: The process is crazy, especially when I was on the “Idol” tour. Time was very limited. They would send me songs. I’d take a listen, and if I liked it or not, I’d let them know. I’d be like, “I definitely do not want to do this. This is not me. What’s wrong with you?” I was lucky enough to get some great songs, record ‘em and get ‘em done.
AP: When you’re only 17 and working with established producers and songwriters, how do you fight for your voice?
Iraheta: I think you have to come out strong, and show them who you are as an artist. I think I’ve accomplished that. I pretty much let them know how I want to do this. They really helped me with that. It was all about getting the right songs for me.
AP: What was something you didn’t like?
Iraheta: They actually sent one of the songs from the album called “Don’t Waste the Pretty.” Before Howard Benson did his magic, it was a song that I was totally like, “Ehhhhh. That’s not for me.” The way it was melodically, the song had no rock edge to it. There was just none of that until we took it to Howard Benson, and he totally, totally flipped it.
AP: How would you describe your album?
Iraheta: It’s definitely a pop record with a rock edge over it. There’s just a variety of different sounds. It’s kind of crazy. At first, people were asking me, “What’s up with you coming out with a single that’s straight poppy? What happened to rocker Allison?”
AP: What’s your favorite song on the album?
Iraheta: “No One Else,” the one that Pink and Kara (DioGuardi) wrote. … It’s just something that I really related to. I related to all of the songs but definitely that one the most. It’s such a heartfelt song. You could pretty much dedicate that to anyone.
AP: What was it like working with Chris Daughtry on the album? You both came in fourth place on different seasons of “Idol.”
Iraheta: We kept talking about how crazy it was we both came in fourth place. He was telling me how, when he got cut, he was so bummed but that everything worked out. I was like, “I felt that way too, man!” He’s cool.
AP: How is your life different now after the tour and recording the album? Did you go back to school?
Iraheta: I’m still doing independent studies. It’s a little hard. I’m trying to get it out of the way. My life is totally different. People know who I am now. Not only do people stare at me because of the redness in my hair, but they act like they know me, even if they don’t remember my name. They’ll say, “Hey, it’s that redheaded girl from ‘Idol.’”

The Parents Television Council on Adam Lambert’s American Music Awards leash demonstration? Close. The Sept. 16, 1956, New York Times on Elvis Presley’s hip-censored Ed Sullivan performance.
If our outrage over rock stars is nothing new, then neither are our rock stars. From Elvis’ pelvis on down, they are nothing if not dedicated to sex, more sex, the next new single, which is probably about sex, and ticking off people who prefer their s-e-x to be not so explicit, thankyouverymuch.
Criticizing Lambert for what he did, smooched and pawed at the AMAs is like criticizing that Paula Deen lady on the Food Network because she made something with butter: It’s what they do.
And the other night, Lambert did his job very well.
It should be left to music critics and Ellen DeGeneres to judge whether Lambert’s vocals and song selection were spot-on. But any doubt the performance was off the mark should have been erased with every angry word from the PTC, every angry phone call to ABC (1,500-plus and counting, per reports) and, above all, the network’s censored AMAs broadcast for tender West Coast audiences too young to see Jennifer Lopez fall down and go boom, much less witness “another dancer [simulate] oral sex on Lambert.” (Thanks again, PTC! You always put it just right!)
Together, Lambert’s offenses are nothing less than the work of a rock star in his tight-pants prime. Can you imagine how hard it must have been to work the townfolk into a huff only weeks after the nation relost its innocence to the Gossip Girl threesome?
It could be argued that Elvis, rarely painted as a social progressive, would not approve of Lambert’s act. But it could be pointed out that the King had no problem singing about the inmates’ various couplings in “Jailhouse Rock.”
It could be argued that Lambert hoodwinked his American Idol fans into thinking he was as harmless as a Danny Gokey R&B ballad. But it could be pointed out that if you didn’t know Lambert was playing nice in order to play, and possibly win, the game, then you weren’t paying attention. At all. (And also your Rolling Stone subscription lapsed.)
Lambert wasn’t straying from who he was; he was being who he is. He wasn’t dishonoring the stage; he was honoring music’s shock-and-awe tradition. (According to Lambert, he was getting more blowback for it because he was a gyrating guy, and not a writhing Madonna, but he was probably more in the crosshairs because he was a gyrating guy on free TV, and not a writhing Madonna on cable.)
Ultimately, Lambert was doing what he was supposed to do, and if it was displeasing that a child somewhere saw him do it in prime time, then somebody’s bedtime needs to be moved up. (The show-closing number didn’t air until almost 11 p.m. ET/PT.)
“All hail freedom of expression and artistic integrity,” Lambert tweeted Monday.
And, the certified rock star could’ve added, the satisfaction of a job done right.

I’m not sure what the overall effect is of Adam’s AMA antics. Certainly just for me personally, deterred me from buying his album, or even any of the individual tracks that otherwise I might have considered. The mj’s crowd has been up in arms with sociopolitical debates endlessly, so I suppose it also has mobilized some who want him to be some sort of activist rather than a singer/entertainer.
This is cute, Brad Paisley (love him, awww) at the Grand Ole Opry singing one of his hit songs, and losing his place partway through. Cute how the audience helps him out. I guess it can happen, even with a star like that who probably wrote this song himself and has performed it countless times before.

There was an article up at mj’s about radio play. It showed Carrie’s next song as having an add date on Dec 14th. There wasn’t any mention of an add date for Danny.
Not sure if that was due to mj articles sometimes being Danny-blind, or if there is no formal add date known yet. I suppose it’s conceivable they may be aiming at January, although I’d been guessing more sometime early/mid December after Thanksgiving was done.

Anyone else notice that Danny literally knocked the KBull banner off the wall with his performance? Gave me such a silly chuckle. That, and the fact that I was mesmerized by that weird lexan cover over whatever the heck it was on the rear right wall.
Looked to me as if, there were ‘Hammy” friends crawling around inside it, while Danny was singing. Finally realized half into the performance, that it was nothing more than the reflection of others sitting close to it, during his performance.

I had saw from mediabase that Danny did indeed get two adds today. I am glad that stations are finally starting to add his song.
I am not surprised that a station in Detroit added him. I don’t think that the one in New Jersey had played his music before, but I am glad that they decided to add him.
I have noticed that at mjs they rarely ever talk about post mediabase information about Danny, including stuff about spins and radio airplay. They often exclude information about him regarding those things.

FOGS, I hope more stations will add Danny also. I noticed listening to my local country station today, they are playing an occasional Christmas / holiday song, but have set up a separate section on their website if someone wants all holiday music all the time.
If that’s something a lot of stations do, it may make it easier for Danny to get added.
I also noticed one of the mediabase charts has Mallory Hope’s single at number 40 out of the top 50. If she can get that high with it, seems that Danny should have potential to do well. She has had a video out for some time though, which probably helps.

I think that would be good for Danny is more stations is like yours. If more stations are like that it would make it easier for Danny to get adds.
Also Danny got a spin from the radio station that interviewed him today in Chattanooga. If anyone is in or around that area they can request his song with WUSY 101. This is more proof that the radio tour is helping Danny, I hope that more stations that he does/has done interviews with play his song.
Allison’s album drops tomorrow, I am interested in seeing how she does. She has gotten very little promotion from Jive, so I think that she will have low album sales.

Also, I saw that the radio station that he visited in Atlanta today also played his song. I am glad that more stations he is visiting are playing his song.
Hey y’all! Looks like Danny’s on the move. He did say that they’d be hitting the promo radio tour hard this week and he meant it. I saw the pics from the interview and the mini-concert that he gave in Chattanooga(forgot what the station was).
Maryann-thanks for the recap during the interview. I was surprised that the DJ asked him about Adam’s AMA performance, too. But it sounded like Danny answered honestly about it and that was good. Also glad that he said that he respects Adam and their friendship not to comment on it. Really, why should he? It’s over and done w/so why try to rehash it again, anyway, which I’m sure some folks will so it’s just time to move on about it.

Allison was also on Tennessee Morning today. I didn’t watch it but I saw the promo this past weekend saying that she was gonna be on this morning. They made the mistake of saying that she was one of the top 3 finalists in their promo. I caught that and was like, “What?!” lol
I saw Adam’s tweets earlier and I’m guessing that the long holiday weekend had him thinking about all of the ‘drama’ that went on last week. Personally, I’m still kind of annoyed by all of the hype about it still, but I do hope that he does what he says b/c I’d rather see Adam Lambert, the singer/peformer than Adam Lambert, the ‘media spectacule’.

I also wanted to comment on Lil Rounds being signed. That’s good for her. I’ve always liked her during the show and really wanted her to come out on top but for some reason it didn’t end up that way. I’m looking forward to her website coming up and seeing what she has in store.
I’m just hoping that there isn’t any big deal about Danny not wanting to say anything about Adam’s AMA performance. His answer to the DJ sounded very straight and to the point about how he felt. But y’all know some people are probably gonna take it out of context and make a huge deal about it when it really isn’t a big deal. Danny doesn’t need any more ‘stuck-on-stupid’ flack about what he said or didn’t say.

That’s a nice big set of photos from the US101 appearance. Definitely could see Ivan was there with the tour, and good to see some pics of Danny’s with fans from the radio station. Looked like one or two were people who’d come from a medical workplace to hear Danny. Danny seemed a little scared of the one woman’s southern ‘big hair’ though, lol.
It looks as though Danny taped a TV interview (WTCI) while he was there? Funny they say it won’t air until early next year though.
The ‘stars who look like muppets’ photos on the same page as Danny’s US101 gallery is pretty funny | scary.
Danny is moving so fast it’s hard to keep up with him! I just love that guy. I really hate he way some websites and blogs act like he doesn’t exist, and don’t include his numbers with the Almighty Kradison’s. I hate that even worse than the hate sometimes. At least with the hate he was being acknowldged. I suppose he’s being ignored because the haters cannot deny he is doing well and will continue to do better. During the show they could say things like he would be forgotten, but now they can’t say that. So they just pretend he doesn’t exist. I’ve tried posting stuff about him on boards that ignore him and those posts just get ignored and they go on talking about Kradison’s figures.
I have a question I want to throw out, because I am curious. In no way do or did I EVER think Danny was “pimping his dead wife,” but here is my question. Let’s say Danny came on Idol and Sophia was still alive. Do you think he would have gone as far as he did, or not? Here’s what I was thinking. I think most people who love Danny loved him for his talent and personality. They did not vote for him based on his backstory (even though the haters insist that’s what happened). Here’s what I think though. I think having such a backstory hurt him to some extent. People hated him largely because of that, thinking he was using that to get votes. He would have been noticed anyway because he was so good and had such a unique voice. So I think if his wife didn’t die, he might have won becuase he would still have had his fans’ votes, plus votes of haters who might not have hated him. He also might not have been pimped so much in the beginning, which also earned him hate. But if, let’s say, Sophia had been alive but sick, he still might have gotten pimped for having a sad backstory but could not be accused of “pimping” Sophia for votes. I think everything happened exactly the way it was meant to, but I’m just wondering if any of you think he would have been eliminated earlier/gone further/stayed the same if his circumstances had been different. Remember he was planning to audition anyway.

Danielle, although the haters will always hate, don’t see how anyone could *reasonably* have cause to be hatin’ in Danny with any justification based on how he answered that today.
Adam himself today was sending out several tweets to the effect that he’s ‘learning’ and wants to move on to focus back on his music.
I found this post at DCO. (They actually mentioned Danny without bashing him!) This is interesting (and a little depressing for Allison). I already knew about the 2 Danny adds.
Kris has one auto-add for HAC and Top40 each.
Danny Gokey has two adds for country. One is an auto-add.
Also, Adam is up to 3 HAC adds and 3 Top40 adds. One HAC and two Top40 auto-adds.
I thought either HAC or Top40 reported on Tuesdays. Why are we seeing adds for both?
ETA: I”m starting to think it’s only a matter of time before Allison gets dropped from her label. She has no radio support whatsoever. I don’t even know if Jive is pushing the song. I know we say Jive is patient with Idols that don’t blow up out of the gate, but that’s just because they didn’t drop Jordin after fairly anemic initial sales. But Jordin’s songs all did well on the radio, and in sales, so she was still lucrative. Allison has basically no Idol fanbase. She’ll be lucky if she sells 20K her first week, and with no radio support she’ll drop out of the BB200 in a couple of weeks. And then what? They try again? But how much effort will they put in a second single when the first one went nowhere? It’s usually the lead-off single that gets the bulk of the promotion, but I’m not seeing much promotion for FIBOU, so why should I expect more going forward? Which is just odd because it seems like they actually spent some money on her. They got her good songwriters and producers, and actually made a good album (YMMV) so it’s not like she sang reject songs in a 7-day sitting like KLC. So… what? They got distracted by trying to make Kris happen? They should be able to push more than one artist at a time. And if not, they should have waited until spring. Management is picking up the slack a little, with the New Moon thing and her appearing on Ellen and Today, I think, but I don’t think it’s going to be enough. Which kinda sucks.
Helio- that’s a good question. Honestly, who knows, really? Whether what the story would have been or could have been back then, how Danny did during the show could’ve gone in either direction. I voted for Danny based on his talent. The first time I heard his voice I was in the kitchen cooking, and my TV is is the living room. All it took was about five notes, and I was hooked.
If Sophia was still alive I think that would have played a role in Danny’s career, especially with the state of her health. As a single guy now, his time is his own.

Helio, I don’t know. If Sophia had been alive and healthy, maybe people would have fallen in love with her the way people thought it was very cute with Kris & his wife. If Sophia had been alive but experiencing medical problems, Danny might not have been able to complete the season.
It happened the way it did. For me, I don’t know how I managed to escape it but as a casual fan I really had no clue about the backstory with Danny until months into the AI8 season, ery close to the finale probably. Maybe my habit of watching the show with the mute button close to hand to block out the questionable performers and too much talk-y stuff. I never read any on-line stuff either until very close to the end of the season.
I was always impressed with Danny’s voice and would have / do support him just for that.

I hope they don’t drop Allison. They probably will be looking to the Spanish language market as well as pop charts.
We also don’t know what they are paying her or investing. Maybe they are treating her as a young artist who will take time to develop, and so the cost to carry her on the label isn’t so high as to need huge immediate payback in sales.
Seems to me they must know she never had an enormous fanbase and taken that into account when they signed her, as well as realizing she is very young for the types of hard rock music she liked to do on the show and may need to grow into it.

I think that Jive definitely didn’t promote Allison enough. They are promoting her some this week, but it might be too little, too late. They should have been promoting her a lot more, before her album dropped. But they were hardly promoting her, even though they gave Kris a good amount of promotion.
I don’t know if they will drop her soon, but I think that they made a mistake by not giving her more promotion. She has a very little fanbase, and she definitely needs a lot of help from people in the general public. I think that she could do well if marketed right, but they aren’t marketing her well.
She isn’t getting that much airplay and I think her song FIBOY is like #931 on the overall Itunes chart. Out of 1000.
If she has low sales this week, which I think she will, I think that Jive should he held largely responsible for that.
steph- I saw that today, what Adam tweeted. I really do hope that he does learn from what went on and just focus on his music b/c that’s what important anyway.
I know that how Danny answered that question that there’s no reason what-so-ever to hate on him for what he said. I was just saying that the ones who would hear/read that would react first and think later and read so much into it when all it was just a simple answer to a question. ‘Stuck-on-stupid’ haters and people are like that.

My bosses son was lucky enough to be one of Danny’s banner carriers in the Grafton Christmas parade. They said Danny is the nicest, most wonderful, sincere person you could ever meet. Jake had wriiten a letter after Danny left Idol and one of the first things Danny did on Saturday was ask for Jake. Class act!

I don’t think that Allison was at a disadvantage because she was a female. This season the boys were more popular than the girls were, but there have been seasons where the girls were more popular than the boys were and probably will be seasons like that again.
The past couple of seasons AI has been pushing for a male to win, but now that we have had two male winners in a row, and two male runner-ups, I think AI will push for a female to win this year.
I think that for some reason a lot of people didn’t really connect with Allison and that is why her fanbase is as little as it is.
I do think that she picked up a lot of casual votes enough to get her to the top 4, but she didn’t pick up enough loyal fans who will buy her music and give her decent CD sales, the first week her album is out.
I didn’t really connect with Allison while she was on the show.I do think that she is a talented girl, possibly the most talented teenager the show has ever had. But I didn’t really like her performances until she was off the show, and I thought about them again.

I can’t imagine anyone seriously saying that Danny should comment that he likes absolutely everything Adam had in that performance, or even really approves of FYE as a song with its s&m lyrics. Even Adam’s mom said she was taken aback at the AMAs to some degree, sheesh.
Michael Sarver did a video interview with AINow a few days ago, and fell all over himself not commenting on the content of Adam’s AMA performance, while saying nice things about Adam personally and noting that some performers had done risque performances in the past.
Pam- it nevers fails w/the haters and that’s fine. I know, just as Danny has said in his blog on the SHF site, that people are going to depise you no matter what you do. Still, his response to that was good and it is what it is to me.
Hits Daily Double has updated their sales stats for albums sold last week. Now they have 55% of sales totals in. Susan Boyle is number 1.
Miley is still #2, even though her sales haven’t risen by that much since the last time the site was updated and Adam is now at #3.
HDD is now saying that Adam has sold at least 98,401 albums, moving him past Kris’s album sales of last week. They will update the site with their final totals for album sales either tonight or tomorrow.

Betty, I definitely think Allison had a disadvantage being female. Females on Idol have a built-in handicap because most viewers are female and prefer males (I know I’m one!) For a female to win Idol they have to be incredibly gifted, far beyond anyone else that season (Carrie, Kelly) or it has to be a weak season for males (which is what happened in season 6–there were no strong male contestants, so 3 of the Top 4 were female and Jordin won.) Randy is predicted this is a strong year for girls. We’ll see. While personally I want to have another male favorite to root for, I have to say I’m a little biased this time because of my daughter’s friend who made Hollywood (and apparently impressed all 4 judges) and I think she could go far. My son’s been talking to her on Myspace but she can’t say too much right now and of course will have to take down her Myspace if she makes the semifinals, which she just might. But I definitely think girls have a handicap if there are strong male singers present, and unfortunately I think that’s what happened to Allison because she was very good but her fanbase was just never large enough to get her into the Top 3 even after an amazing Top 4 performance. I don’t think Jive has been promoting her nearly enough, and they must know she would need the extra help, having a small fanbase.

If Allison had been 5-8 years older, I think she would have been more successful although some probably liked the idea of a young precocious rocker. A lot of people found it a little off-putting if not slightly creepy that she was singing very adult songs as a teenager.
Also to me, there’s just something she was missing as a singer in delivering her songs, even though she has a good voice. Something in the interpretation usually, and having a sense of her personality come through.
Maybe for me, even though I think Allison has by far a stronger bigger voice, my favorite AI8 girl was / is actually Megan.

Steph, I agree that the songs Allison sang on Idol seemed too mature for her. I saw that criticism about her a number of times during the show. I think she can be a rocker, but may need to wait a few years to grow into that sort of music. It’s a more mature genre.
Sorry, I never liked Megan very much. She was unique in a quirky, Bjork kind of way but I never thought she had a great voice. But she is a very pretty girl. I thought the look they gave her on the tour was hideous, however. Whoever their stylist was needs to find another job. Remember what they did to Danny? Blech.

Allison was very sophisticated on stage, but off stage she was not. She’s still a teenager. I would imagine that the older you get, the more you appreciate an opportunity such as AI. She really is a little too young.
IMO, there were some pretty good female singers this season on Idol that should have made it through to the top 13. People like Jessica Langseth, who I heard was also a good guitar player and people like Mishavonna Henson, who IMO, had a cool husky voice.
But the judges and TPTB decided to put through people like Megan and Jasmime, who couldn’t sing very well IMO. If Alexis had made it farther, maybe she could have done well.
Things might have turned out differently if the judges had put through Jessica Langseth and she had gotten a chance to play the guitar. But IMO, they decided to push the less talented girls.
They were pushing more for the boys to win this season, and the boys definitely were more popular. But I think for season 9, they will push for a girl to win, like they pushed for girls to win in the past.
Also the two most successful idol winners are females (Carrie and Kelly), so people will support women they think are good singers. And a lot of people love Jennifer Hudson as well and she’s been doing good for herself. I believe that if there are good girl singers around that Idol fans connect to, they can get a lot of support.

All I have to say about the upcoming season of ‘Idol’ is that it’s going to be an interesting one. Despite all of the changes, I think I’ll watch it anyway to see how it plays out this coming year.

Helio, just going back a bit to your comment about Danny’s backstory. I actually didn’t know about Danny’s wife passing away until almost halfway through the show. So I had been voting for him all along. I just liked him the first time I heard him audition and knew I wanted him to win. Then at some point I heard about his wife.

I think that they did like the boys better this , thought that the boys would be more popular (which they were)and that is why they didn’t let any talented girls in.
Fortunately Alexis Grace and Allison were voted in, but the judges/TPTB put Megan and Jasmine in, over IMO, more talented girls who could have went farther in the competition if given a chance. I don’t even think they really cared about Jasmine, but they put her in over Jessica Langseth, who they told almost “made it” because they didn’t want any more girls giving the guys competition.
I personally don’t care how many girls/boys are let through each season, as long as very talented people are let through. I don’t mind there being more boys than girls, or more girls than boys, as long as we get a talented group of contestants.
I like that they did away with the “there has to be an equal amount of contestants from each gender” rule. Even though I think they will bring that rule back this year. I just want talented contestants to make the finals. I do think that we had a lot of talented guys in the top 13 this year, but I think there were also talented girls that should have made it but didn’t.
I wish that instead of Scott, Megan, Lil, Jasmine, Jorge and Kris making the Top 13, that people like Jessica Langseth, Mishavonna Henson, Ju’Not Joyner, Steven Fowler, and Nathaniel Marshall would have made it through instead. But every year talented people slip through the cracks, no matter how good the season turns out being.

Checking in for the first time today. Lots of posts to read. Happy to hear Danny is back on the road tomorrow and that he was busy with radio interviews today. I am quite impressed with how hard he is working. Finally, Danny got his first adds to two radio stations. Hopefully, there will be more coming soon. Was very happy to see that the radio stations in Chattanooga and Atlanta played Danny’s song after (or before not sure) they interviewed him. Hopefully everyone is requesting Danny’s songs from their local country radio stations as Danny asked us to do. I’ve sent a couple of requests to WPOC in Baltimore.
Adam is doing as expected with his debut album sales. With over 50% in he is at 98,000 and should get close to or over 200,000 and come in at #2. Looks like Kris may drop 50% this week. I don’t have high expectation for Allison’s first week sales. At this point, I can’t even predict. She could get help from Adam’s fans but so far they have been sticking to just supporting Adam (don’t think there is a Kradam anymore). I do think that Jive will be patient with Allison. She has so much talent and is so young that she is bound to have a hit at some point. I am very happy so far with the way RCA Nashville is handling Danny. Let’s hope they keep it up.

I love the way RCA Nash is handling Danny! They are rolling him out gradually and people everywhere are beginning to notice. He is getting airplay. Not a lot yet, but it will build on itself. He is not in competition with the other 3, two of whom are not doing well at all. He is the idol with a market all to himself, and he is being handled very professionally IMO. Poor David Cook has the same label, but not the Nashville division, and I hate the way he is being handled these days. AL is their baby now, and Cook is Daughtry 2.0 as far as they’re concerned. Oh well, Danny doing so well and being treated so well more than makes up for that. I really hope we see his numbers begin to climb on the charts very soon. I think he has an incipient hit on his hands. Does anyone know what he is charting at now on the country charts? Those two adds are pretty big markets, that should help.
I don’t care for the rule of an even number of boys and girls either. I think it’s stupid because talented people wind up going home and less talented getting in so a gender “quota” can be filled. I don’t give a hoot whether there are more boys, more girls, or whatever, as long as I get to hear people with talent perform every week. I have no idea what Jasmine and Jorge were even doing in the finals. Another person who should have made it was Jamar Rogers, but of course he was probably eliminated early to create some “contrived drama” for Danny and of course they wanted to keep him in (and thank GOd they did)! But using Jamar that way was just plain wrong.
I am sure that’s what they were trying to do.

I didn’t think Jamar actually was as good a singer as those who made it through, something about his tone could be a little grating at times. He was an appealing performer though, could be pretty charming with the right songs.
I didn’t follow Alexis that closely, but did see her having some good early performances. That version of Jolene when she got voted off really was pretty awful in parts. For me, I didn’t care for her performance on MJ night either. I wonder also if she didn’t come across as likable, or split any ‘rocker’ votes with Allison.
For me, it was ok that they let a mix of people into the top 13. If everyone were a mainstream ‘big’ singer, it would get a little boring. Megan isn’t the best singer by any means, but she has a niche where she can sing well, and certainly she added some fun to the show as well as her good looks.

I like the way that RCA/Nashville is handling Danny too. They are doing a good job with him so far. Between getting him gigs,having him do this radio tour, and making sure he gets good songs on his album, getting him a good producer etc… it seems like they are really trying to help him put out a good CD.
I can’t wait until they start giving him some heavy duty promotion, I think they will do that, when it gets closer to the release of his single and his album.
Since they changed his single and the release date, I wonder if his official site will still go up on December 8 and when the single will be available for purchase on his website.

FOGS, I think she is making excuses for Kris’s poor sales, although I think she definitely has a point about Adam being a media darling; if he hadn’t debuted big, I would have really thought his career was in trouble. Not sure how much the .99 deal affected things; although knowing Adam’s fans and their fascination/zeal for all things internet, I could see them buying a whole ton of copies.
So I guess I agree with some of it; although still surprised Kris sales are poor.

Helio, I have also wondered if Danny would have had to withdraw from AI under different circumstances. I’d imagine that it will take years and some counseling to be able to cope with the loss and the changes in his life. Surviving spouses sometimes have guilt over being “happy” after such a loss. I’m sure Danny’s work with Sophias Heart and his extended family/church has been a huge help. And maybe those hugs he gives, too.
I should pull away to get something done….somehow.

FOGS, I read that article you posted, and it does sound like Ms. Parker is making excuses for Kris’s poor sales. She does make some valid points but most of it seems like excuses to me. I am seeing a lot of that–Kris fans blaming the economy, blaming Adam, blaming the fact Kris is a quiet, humble guy, yada yada yada. There is some truth to these excuses, but let’s face it–the main reason Kris isn’t selling well is because he doesn’t have star quality. That doesn’t mean he’s not talented, but not everyone can be a star. He lacks the charisma and the drive of either Adam or Danny. But the people making excuses for him will never admit to the fact that Kris simply does not have the “it” factor or enough ambition to become a huge seller. But the important thing is, is Kris happy? I think he is, and at least he gets to make a living making music, and a pretty healthy living at that. Think about it. People call Taylor Hicks unsuccessful, but he is living better than 99% of us (he made $300K last year) and doing something he loves doing. So really, success is just a relative term.

I think Lyndsey is making excuses for Kris and I see people on mjs and TWOP doing the same thing. I think they should stop doing that. I think a lot of people make excuses for Kris because he’s a nice guy and they don’t want to see him do poorly. And he does seem like a nice guy, but I don’t think all of the excuses people make for him do him any favors.
Also I that a lot of people are mad at Lyndsey for writing that article. I heard that she is getting attacked, I think in the comment section for that article and on Twitter.
I don’t agree with a lot of the stuff she said, and I know that other people don’t as well, but I don’t think that people should be attacking her over her article.
I do wish she hadn’t wrote the stuff she did, though. I kind of think that Lyndsey was feeding into the whole “Kradam, can’t comment on the happenings of one, without commenting on the happenings of the other” thing when she wrote this article comparing Adam and Kris.
The people in the media like to constantly compare both guys, and I think that some fans are tired of that. I think that some people are tired of Adam and Kris constantly being lumped together a lot. I think that’s another reason why some of them are mad at Lyndsey.

Hello Ladies! glad to be back here, just stopping by. Looks like Danny have a lot of tours and appearances tomorrow! very busy Idol I should say.

I think that a lot of people make excuses for him because he’s a nice guy and they don’t like to see him do poorly. But I think they need to stop doing that because it’s not very flattering to him.
And the same people that are making these excuses for Kris not selling well, would not make these excuses for Danny, Anoop, Matt, Michael Sarver, etc… if they sold poorly. Even though they are all nice guys as well.
I don’t think that people should be making excuses for Kris, and I don’t think they should try to take away from what Adam has accomplished.
I wish people would stop trying to join Kris and Adam at the hip a lot of the time. Kris didn’t sell well his first week, and I think it would be best if his fans just admitted that.
Also I think that even if Kris continues not to sell so well with this album, he could still make a decent living for himself, doing shows and stuff like that.
I think Danny probably does suffer from a bit of “survivors guilt.” From time to time, especially during the tour, he seemed to become extremely emotional and sad. I think the two RF songs–and YASB on AI–stirred up something in him when he sang them, but it was also cathartic for him, like therapy. I think from time to time it will still surface. For all we know he might cry himself to sleep at night. Danny has been so busy he hasn’t really had the time to work through his grief, but he will get there. There will always be sadness (and I think it still shows in his eyes–sometimes even when he smiles his eyes look so sad) but over time it will diminish and he will love someone again. Of course Sophia will always hold a special place in his heart that no one can ever replace or take away. You don’t forget about someone you loved as much as he loved her.
I’m reminded of David Cook, who lived with Adam’s illness for so long and often his sadness would come out in his performances too, and still does. Now he’s trying to cope with the death of his beloved brother, who died less than a year ago. I think both these men, having suffered the loss of someone close to them so recently, use their singing as a way to purge themselves of their grief and hurt, and that’s one of the reasons they are both so emotionally powerful when they perform. I think they both have the ability to connect with the audience in a way most performers can’t do, but it’s almost a need for them to ease the loneliness and pain of such a devastating loss. Great art often comes from great pain.
I have to stop now, because I am making myself cry.

Oh, and I think Susan Boyle has that ability/gift to be emotionally expressive onstage as well, even though I am not a fan of her voice. Christina Aguilera too, is a very emotionally expressive performer and she has been through a lot.
Neither Kris or Adam have this ability, which is why they leave me a bit cold, although there is no denying their talent.

Interesting in Lyndsey’s article that she mentions the financial aspect of Kris having songwriting credit to the income he’ll make on his CD. Danny probably won’t have that on this first album as far as we know, but I suspect compared to Kris, Danny could do quite well with tour sales which is another revenue-maker.
So make that one more question for Amy’s list — is Danny writing/co-writing any songs for his album?

I read Lindsey’s article. Ouch against Adam. I am sure that it’s going to further escalate that fan war that has been going on. I am so glad Danny is away from all that kind of rivalry.
Kris is a nice guy, but he is way out of his league. I agree –he doesn’t have star power. That’s why they barely highlighted him on the show. Whereas I definitely think Adam and Danny do. And I can see how that must be very hard for Kris’ fans to accept. So instead, they compensate by blaming the economy and everyone else.
A lot of them have begun to criticize Danny for not writing his own music or having the luxury of being one place to record his album. As I’ve always believed, I think Kris’ fans are way more threaten by Danny than Adam’s fans.

I do wonder how well Danny would get paid if he went on tour. Maybe it would depend on who he was touring with? I thought I read somewhere, maybe mjs that some opening acts don’t get paid that much.

Earlier there was some discussion on the possibility that Danny might be critcized for not commenting on Adam’s performance on the AMA’s. Adam didn’t even know what to say about his own performance! He went through so many explanations from the sound system was bad, people were descriminating, he’s not a babysitter to now saying he is completely changing direction from that performance to concentrate on different songs. So if Adam couldn’t even stick to one statement about his own performance, why would anyone expect any of the other idols to state an opinion about it. Danny and the other idols did exactly what they should do which is to not comment on it

I am hoping that an official press release from RCA Nashville that Danny is going on a media blitz to promote his debut single also means that they are going to push the song at radio and go for official adds. I know it is hard to get as much airplay during the holiday season but getting radio stations to play Danny’s single is the most important thing for Danny right now.
Amy, that is great that you are going to ask Danny some of our questions. I guess my biggest question is when will Danny made a music video for My Best Days and when can we expect to see it? There have also been a lot of good questions about songwriters on his album and upcoming TV appearances.

DJG, Kris fans knew they never had a chance against Adam, so instead they aligned themselves with him. (If you can’t fight’ em, join ‘em). It was easier to do that than fight what they knew from the beginning was a losing battle and hate on Adam. So they chose to hate Danny instead because there was a chance (however small, or so they thought) that they could somehow outshine/outdo him. But he was still a huge threat, so they turned their hate on him rather than Adam. Adam fans don’t hate on Danny as much as Kris fans do, because they never saw him as much of a threat, but rather a competitor. I know many Adam fans who have admitted they wanted Danny in the finale with Adam because they would have rather lost to Danny (who they saw as worthy, even if they didn’t like him) than Kris (which was a huge insult to them). Some even said they would have been okay with Danny winning but were not okay with Kris winning.
Amy, several people have asked this but I’ll ask too. PLease ask Danny if he is writing or co-writing any of his own songs for his album.

I read on mjs there is a mediabase chart that measures how much video airplay an artist gets. I could see Danny doing well on that chart, because CMT, plays more music than MTV does, and about as much music if not more than VH-1 does.
And GAC plays music almost all of the time.Most of their daily line up consists of music videos. And GAC likes to play new releases. A lot of videos on GAC get played at least twice a day and I think that some of them might get played more than twice a day sometimes. So I could see Danny doing well on the video airplay chart.

GG, Danny did say in one interview that he hoped to do some song-writing once he got to Nashville, although wasn’t sure it would be ready for his first album. I’m not sure how much time he’s had to try that, so it would be interesting to ask him.

Helio ITA – the morning after the finale, there were many, many posts throughout the internet that said if Adam had to lose, they would much rather that it be to Danny than to Kris.
There’s also some lingering bad feelings that Kris was barely highlighted on the show – but Danny was over promoted.
My take – I think Adam will do very well – he has a lot of momentum on his side. But I doubt most of his fans would have a problem if Danny came in 2nd. Whereas I can see that would be a huge problem for Kris’ fans.

I did see that myfoxatlanta.com has an interview from today with Allison up for playback, so seems like a good possibility they will post video of Danny if we miss it live.

). Kris fans were very mellow like Kris (in fact Anoop and Matts forums had more posts than Kris) and almost never bashed Danny. And that was a huge reason I think the majority of the Gokey Gang voted for Kris in the finale.
It must really vary depending what site you are on; on AI forums where I posted the most during the season (and where huge fan wars went on, lol) the vast majority of Danny haters were definitely Adam fans (including our friend Mighty1 here).
They would post viscious attacks, ridiculing him personally in every way (not Mighty though, to be fair, he was just an everyday troller who had the fine art of under handedly undermining him

We probably shouldn’t hope too much that Amy can ask Danny questions–although I hope she will, or maybe she can get some extra time with him later on after he’s finished singing.
I think the Bobcats site said that the first 150 people would get to go to the 45-minute m&g with Danny, so only 30-seconds each if it’s fully sold out.

The Bobcat game sounds a lot like the meet and greet in Grafton. I bet you will be lucky to get 30 seconds with him- the security will push you on through! It was only due to Danny’s supreme sweetness that he went down the line at the end when it was all over and hugged us all; otherwise it was a quick autograph and a few words.
But he knows Amy, so maybe she can get some questions in!

I know that no one is here now, but I’m going to comment anyway about the Kris vs. Adam article by Lyndsey Parker of Yahoo. At least three of the people who commented pointed out that Soundscan does not count any CD sales that were discounted more than 50%. (I wondered about that. That makes sense, and I suspect it’s true.) So Adam’s actual sales figures are likely higher than whatever the number is that they settle on when all the figures are in. How much higher is anyone’s guess. Also, Ms. Parker stated that people either love or hate Adam. That’s not true. I LIKE Adam — I don’t love him and I don’t hate him. I like him. But I L-O-V-E Danny!
(P.S.) I get a kick out of the Mighty Dog commercial on the iheart site. Makes me think of Mighty 1.
