Chandler, I think you have to “clear your cache”; ie get rid of temporary internet stored info. I have Foxfire and under Tools I click “clear recent history”.

I saw that at mjs that Susan Boyle is predicted to debut at #1 on Billboard next week with somewhere between 625,000-675,000 album sales. I saw that Adam is predicted to debut at #2 on Billboard with in between 210,000-310,000 album sales. These predictions are from Hits Daily Double (HDD)

I don’t really take the stuff that Mighty says seriously. I think he comes here to try and pull our legs. What’s interesting though is that on the Kris thread on TWOP, someone had quoted Mighty when he was talking about how Kris was “upset” that Adam was getting more attention to him, and quoted what Mighty’s “info” about that.

There were people in the Kris TWOP thread that thought that Might was telling the truth about Kris being upset about Adam getting more attention. Even though Mighty’s account of that wasn’t true.

210,000-310,000 album sales for Adam was a typo. It should have been 210K-230K, which I don’t think is such a great number of sales for him with all the publicity he’s received, the AI tour, etc. It will be interesting to see how his sales fall after this first week — plus remember he gets an extra day for his sales because they started on Monday.

As far as mighty is concerned, he’s an AI troll – been banned numerous times for bashing Danny and Kris. He’s an Adam fan, so don’t let him pull your chain.

Well, it’s been confirmed. Another person on IDF who somehow got the complete list of those AI9 contestants making it through to Hollywood has confirmed that my daughter’s friend Jesse Barry made it through and all 4 judges were very impressed with her. JoesPlace list hasn’t been updated since October; this person said JoesPlace will be posting the complete list soon. Her audition should be shown on TV (I think she went to the Atlanta audition) since she was featured in the promo.

I have made a decision to try to get my old job back. I don’t know if they will rehire me, but it paid much more than what I am making now (plus I was getting a bonus every month)–we are barely getting by right now and will not even be celebrating Christmas this year because I can’t afford it. ALl your help did help me get caught up on some of the bills though, so I appreciate that! Anyway, I was let go from my last job for two reasons, mostly because I was having to take a lot of time off work due to my daughter’s situation at the time, but since that has been taken care of for the time being, there may be a place me for me. I absolutely hate what I am doing right now anyway. My old job wasn’t a lot better, but at least it paid decently. Keep your fingers crossed and pray that I can get that or a comparable job soon.

Thank you for the well wishes. The job market around here really sucks and so does being so poor. I am unable to move somewhere else. I hope something positive happens soon. I’m already resigned to just having a Christmas dinner and that’s it. I don’t even have the heart to put up a tree. If my kids want to do it, that’s fine though. Or maybe I’ll just buy one of those little $10 tabletop trees since there won’t be anything under it anyway. But if I think of Christmas more like another Thanksgiving then it’s not so bad. You just can’t buy into all the hype. Christmas has become so overcommercialized and all about how much you can spend. It shouldn’t be that way. It shouldn’t be about stress. I’m not religious but the holiday is supposed to be about Jesus and I think Jesus would be very displeased if he knew what a materialistic, commercialized holiday Christmas has become. Not to put down the joys of buying gifts if you can afford it. I would certainly enjoy doing that if I could afford to–and I used to when there was money. But all the hype makes people who can’t feel like they are somehow missing out or there is something wrong with them that they can’t really participate and things shouldn’t be that way. So I am not buying into it. Fortunately my kids are old enough to understand and I have already told them they may get one thing each, if anything. They are okay with that, I can owe them something later. It would be much harder if they were still little and believed in Santa Claus.

I don’t understand why I can’t sell my writings. I would love to do that for a living but it’s so hard when you don’t know anyone who could help you or who has connections. I’ll just keep trying though.

I am really looking forward to the days starting to get longer, and then the new season of AI. I’m so happy my daughter’s friend made it in, I am over the moon about that, my whole family is! To me the start of the new season is always the first sign of spring, and I always have such a rough time with the shortening days of late fall and winter. It puts me in such a depressed mood. Sorry to be such a downer on this lovely day, and I’m so happy for those lucky enough to meet Danny today and see him in the parade.

I just did something a little subversive. *snicker* Lots of Danny haters on DCO (I have no idea why because not all DC fans hate Danny). I haven’t posted there in a long time but have been lurking on their Off Topic thread about Adam, Kris and Allison (Danny doesnt exist, of course). I believe that Danny has a charity event in Arkansas on December 6th. Danny is the headliner and Martina McBride was their headliner last year so it is quite a bit event.

Danny has at least three events coming in December, one at City Limits Saloon in Raleigh, North Carolina, on December 4. His concert there will begin at 9:30pm. And he has the Charity Ball for Mercy Health system in Arkansas on December 5. And then he has the concert at Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, on December 16.

I think that he will also be going more places for his radio tour.

Thanks FOGS for the updates on Danny’s upcoming events. I knew he had the charity event in Arkansas and the one at Coyote Joes but didn’t realize he also had one on Dec 4th in Raleigh, NC.

Do we have details on his mini concert in Grafton today? From the tweets I have read it sounds like it has been over for a while. Didn’t we have some Ihearties attending?

I’m a little worried about Danny’s song getting much radio play since all the stations are now starting Christmas music. I guess we will have to be patient and things will hopefully pick up in January. Has there been any word from Danny on plans for a video for My Best Days?

I liked Allison during the show, but I have to say I am not much of a fan anymore and will not be buying her album. Both her speaking and singing voice have been wearing on my nerves. I also think my irritation with her has to do with her fans–who keep blaming Danny for her getting fourth place. But thanks for the link anyway, FOGS.

My daughter asked for only 2 things for her birthday–2 CDs–Taylor Swift and Avenged Sevenfold City of Evil. Can we say her tastes are eclectic? Anyway, I think I can swing that.

This is strange – I just checked mediabase about an hour or so ago and Danny’s My Best Days had only been played twice today in Detroit and Salt Lake City. Since I checked the last time, My Best Days has been played in 9 more cities: Hartford, Kansas City, Tulsa, Wichita, Allentown, Norfolk, Chaleston, Springfield, MA and Fort Wayne, IN. YAY!!

Amy I hope you have fun at the event in Charlotte at Coyote’s Joe’s and at the concert in Raleigh if you go to that one too. I am glad to see that Danny is finally getting some gigs where other country artists will be at.

I think he will build up some credibility with Country Music fans, by performing at events that different country artists are also performing at.

Lizzy I haven’t heard anything about Danny shooting a music video yet. Orignially I thought he might shoot the video some time in December, but now I am not sure about that, because the release of his single has been pushed back to late December.

He might not end up shooting the video until January. Hopefully when he shoots it he will get decent airplay on GAC and CMT. I think that Allison and Adam’s videos haven’t played on VH-1, or other music channels yet.

I also hope that Danny starts to get more radio airplay.

Hello, everyone! Had a beautiful Danny Day! Went to the parade and met up with so many Gokey girls/guys. Yes, Danny was in the back of a pick-up truck, but it’s just a small town parade and it didn’t seem strange at all. I was able to run up to Danny and give him a candy cane (lol) and he remembered my name! yaaay! The cops didn’t like it, but I just had to get up close to D! He was looking wonderful, as usual!

Danny was at the end and after Danny went past, people started leaving, even tho Santa had not yet arrived (Santa was the last of the parade).

Then we went to pjgvet’s house for lunch. So much fun to meet Latrece, New Cindy, Jannika, NY ladies, and many others. We took group pics (to follow).

Danny event turned out to be a concert by the Grafton H.S. marching band, a speech by their most beloved citizen, and some other local people that nobody except the locals knew (nobody outside of Grafton knows anything about the place!). But it was touching that the school kids got together and sold purple hearts for SHF and presented Danny with a check for $750 on their behalf. He gave heartfelt thanks to those kids!

What else? D sang Stand by Me, then he left (it was just a teaser) and they introduced a bunch of other people who talked and talked while we squirmed around in our seats trying to be patient. He came out later and sand Best Days. Gorgeous voice! Oh yeah. Then he talked about how much It’s Only meant to him and he had everyone feelin it! After that, he did PYT and invited all the kids to join him to dance & sing along. So fun! But waaaaaaaaaay too short.

I wasn’t with the VIP’s (natch), so can’t comment on the behind-the-scenes action. Waiting to hear from the others on that!

BTW, they roped off the sections of the bleachers closest to the stage and we weren’t allowed to sit there, but some kids got up there later after things were underway. There was a sizeable crowd for such a small venue and it was really nice and intimate.

I sat next to Michelle & her kids & my mom, sis, niece dead-center in front of Danny about 14 rows back. We had to scramble to get those seats cuz it was unreserved seating and the first 4 rows were reserved for Danny’s family and the family of the honored citizen (Norbert something) of Grafton. Very small town stuff, but still really fun.

Nancy, it really was awesome that those kids worked so hard to raise that kind of money. Danny mentioned that SHF had given 100 turkeys to families in Nashville, had fed 470 people Thanksgiving meals at a church in Milwaukee, and had contributed to the feeding of 1800 people in LA via Sophia’s Heart L.A. He informed people that he doesn’t receive any money from SHF and it’s all to help others. This was before he sang ‘It’s Only.”

Pretty awesome.

Oh, also, I chatted with his dad after the show. I complimented him on how great his son is and he said Danny’s always been the same caring person that he is today. Mr. Gokey was really proud of his son and thanked my mom for voting for Danny more than 400 times every Tues night on American Idol! lol So cute!

No, Shirl. I bought the tix for my sis, mom, niece & myself as soon as they went on sale not even knowing that it would be possible to buy VIP tix. I just got the tix that were advertised for $15. The VIP tix were $75 and people found out about them because pjgvet contacted the Grafton Chamber of Commerce and enquired …it seemed that they did it as an afterthought once they realized that people would pay more for the opportunity to meet Danny after the concert. Everyone had the same general seating during the concert, but those with VIP tix got to go to a secret room after the concert to meet & greet & hug Danny! *tears rolling down her face*

But, keepin it real, I have had the good fortune of meeting Danny several times now, so it didn’t kill me! That’s why I just had to rush to say hi to him at the parade!

Anyone notice that cute cop with the cool shades walking besides Danny’s pickup in the parade? Glad they thought about security, even in Grafton!

Was shopping at Freddie’s earlier, and SUSAN BOYLE’S CD IS SOLD OUT!!! When I couldn’t find it, I asked whether it had come out yet, and they said they had it before, but it had sold out. Amazon.com was supposed to send me an e-mail when the CD was released, but they didn’t, so I guess I won’t be buying it there. I’m not going to rush around from store to store to find it — I’ll buy it when I see it. But I an ELATED nevertheless. I don’t remember ever trying to make a music CD purchase before where the CD was sold out. I’m thinking Susan is going to blow the “The economy is why Kris Allen’s CD isn’t selling well” excuse out of the water.

(P.S.) Freddie’s did have about an equal amount of Adam Lambert and Kris Allen CDs, both displayed prominently.

I love children, so I will be staring at your new gravatar a lot, Mr. Bing! You communicate so well in English, but I don’t know any other language! I can read a little bit in French, and maybe Italian and Spanish, and I can speak a few things in Italian, but that’s it!

I know how to say, “I do not speak French” in French, although my pronunciation is horrible, I’m sure. And I used to know how to say, “I do not speak Chinese” in Chinese. I used to share an apartment with a married couple from Taiwan. They taught me just a couple of simple sentences in case I answered the phone when their family called from Taiwan.

One more thing, Mr. Bing. A friend of mine attended college in the Midwestern United States. Officially, her major was German. But she became friends with a bunch of fellow students from China, and picked up the Chinese language. I’m not sure which dialect. Are Cantonese and Mandarin the major dialects? Or am I getting confused? Anyway, she has been to China at least three times, I think. She loves your country!

I’m back from Grafton–what an incredible experience. Let me start by saying the Iheart guys and gals are amazingly warm and caring people! Pam and Randy, they opened their house to us, Tonic from NY, Kristie that lurks here, LATRECE!, Jen, Tanya, Jason, new Cindy, Michelle, VC, and the others that I met and I’m forgetting your names (sorry!)

While the VIP event tried to curtail pics and hugs with Danny, Danny wouldn’t be removed from his fans so he created a hug line at the end of the autograph session! Women, men and kids all lined up for a chance to hug our favorite idol! Would you ever see any other AI idol do that????

As far as the mini concert: he looked great and sounded awesome. He blew me away on “It’s only”. His voice is just beautiful–even in a Gymnasium! For his encore he sang PYT and got under the corded off stage and joined his fans and then danced and jumped with all the kids in attendance.

Danny is an super sweet person to meet. He exudes a warmth that is just plain awesome. I had such an amazing day.

I have more to report —a special moment that happened when my daughter, daughter IL to be, and I went in search for a bathroom after the VIP event. (And NO we did not walk into the men’s room!)

Mr. Bing, then I guess my friend speaks Mandarin, because I know it is whatever the primary dialect is on mainland China. My friend also introduced me to a Chinese restaurant where the food is “more authentic.” You don’t want to eat most “Chinese” food in America! Yuck, it’s awful! My friend said it is nothing like the food people really eat in China (which is delicious, she says).

Anyway, I will have to try to find out which parts of the country she has visited. China is a huge country!

By the way, I’ve been meaning to say how bad I felt about the horrible earthquake in China a while back. I think it was in a different part of the country, maybe the northwest? anyway, I hope the people there are recovering from the devastation.

Hi Cheryl, Mr. Chandler Bing and Steph: Danny sang to pre-recorded music. It sounded very good, lots of speakers and a sound board.

From some of the photos with the empty front side, you don’t realize the gymn was packed—we weren’t suppose to sit in those “wings” of the gymn (partially blocked views) but some folks wandered over anyways. There was quite a bit of security for Danny. He sure didn’t seem worried about us fans–in fact he was WAY more accomodating then the security wanted. He took special care to give hugs and take photos with all the kids he saw. And a mom or two, also….

As far as Danny’s hair, Shirl, it looked the way most of us Iheart gals like it–thick, styled and not short. He was lookin’ really good–trim, great vest/shirt vest combo and very happy. He received VERY good reviews from the 21 and 22 year old women with me (my daughters) and ALL of the Iheart ladies! (We tried to be discreet, but…..) Jan

Jan, thanks so much for sharing your story, and so glad it was such a positive experience! I am not surprised that Danny would initiate a “hug line” for his fans since that wasn’t really on the agenda with him sitting behind a table. He is every bit the warm and sweet person he seems to be!

Hi everyone-
Pretty tired, so won’t post a recap and pics until tomorrow. I did send some pics of us ihrt/gokey gals and some at parade with puerto rockin, John, what a sweetie; he came over to meet us and take pics.
Had a great time.
Still had some tix available but from my rough estimates the gym looked pretty packed. They were trying to sell 1500 and my estimate came to 1500 scanning the crowd, so couldn’t have been a lot left. Those empty bleachers were not supposed to be seated; they were in “back” of the stage.
Danny only sang to recorded music, but sounded great as usual; even in a big gym, lol. And was so sweet as Jan and VC have already mentioned- ducking under the barricades and motioned for all kids who wanted to come up and dance with him.
He is truly an American Idol.

Mr. Bing, yes, I was not intending to make any sort of political statement. The earthquake was a terrible tragedy — and no country is immune from disasters. Here in the U.S., what happened in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina is probably one of the worst things I’ve seen, in terms of scale.

I think it often is surprising what ordinary people in a country think. I have not traveled outside the U.S. very often, and I usually go to places where they speak English. The most adventurous place I’ve traveled to is Syria. My friends here in the U.S. all thought I was crazy, because relations between the U.S. and Syria have been tense. I went for the wedding of two close friends. The bride is Syrian-American. Anyway, I got to travel around the country a little bit, and the Syrian people were so welcoming! They felt honored to have a guest from America! (They also made it clear that they could distinguish between the American government and the American people.)

Again, I am not trying to make a political statement of any kind. Except perhaps that we always hear about the bad stuff, but we don’t always hear about the goodwill that people are capable of extending to each other.

Anyway, I need to get off the Internet and get some stuff done. Wishing you a good day in China!

Had a wonderful time in grafton tonite, meeting iheart girls and guys. You are all amazing!! Danny’s performance tonite was fantastic!!! and so was he. He is just like everyone says he is. Such a sweetheart and a great hugger!!! Never thought in a million years I would get the chance to meet him. He definitely doesn’t disappoint his fans. Loved how he sang and danced with all the kids. How sweet!! He is an amazing man!!! Chat tomorrow. Goodnite all!

Hi Gokey Girls. Decided to log on late so I wont sound crazy. Anyways, im Mary and im new here. I have kinda been looking around for a while and finally decided to join. And so far I really like it. Everyone seems nice. I have been a Danny fan ever since my friend decided to drag me to the MSMC concert. And i loved it! I hope to talk to some of you soon.

Welcome to Mary. What an amazing concert you must have seen in MSMC! Many of us diehard Danny fans are drooling over the opportunity you all had to see Danny sing that many songs in such a relaxed/intimate venue.
