Hey, people. I just listened to ‘Tiny Life’ and LOVED IT. So poetic. When the K-Bull interview aired, I was sleeping. I woke up at 5:30 and saw that the radio was uploading their interview on youtube but I had to go to work, so I asked Amy to finish the post. Just watched the interview when I came back, 9 hours later. To make things more complicated, my laptop died. I’m currently on this tiny little thing that my bro-in-law uses for his work but I can’t even watch a yt video properly, doesn’t fit on the screen so I apologize but I probably won’t post for the next days, until I buy a new laptop. I know, it sucks. I’m so bummed that it happened during radio tour but I can’t do anything about it. My laptop’s battery won’t charge, damn thing… the cable is busted (and I changed it some months ago… didn’t last long, did it?). I thought about buying a new cable but my laptop is old, from 2005, needs changing anyway. As I can’t abuse my bro-in-law’s work laptop, I will be MIA for some time. UGH… I’m really sorry, peeps.

OMG, I just found out that my bro-in-law’s mum likes Danny! It’s the first person that didn’t go “Who?” when I talked about Danny Gokey in real life! She watched American Idol and said the same thing that Nicole Kidman said: ‘He has such kind eyes’! And she liked his songs, said they have a beautiful message. I told her that I’m sooo buying his singles and giving to her as a gift!
So happy right now! Even if my computer is busted and I’m battling with this tiny little thing that pretends to be a laptop… Can’t stop listening to ‘Tiny Life’… Danny is in a roll, it’s one awesome song after another!

wow, nice pic of Danny above today! I can see his canine teeth YAY! very envy of that…
I watched 2012 last night and it was amazing! (not being biased cuz I really like scifi movies!) Who else here also watched that movie? did you know ladies that Wisconsin is repeatedly mentioned on that movie? sounds amazing right? cuz thats the homestate of Danny YAY! On the movie, Wisconsin became the new south pole of the earth! pretty neat huh? smack right down to Milgokey YAY! Its true that they played Adam’s TFM at the end but too bad for my little lambert sister, we have to go right away cuz its getting late now haha. Too bad!
Before they played the 2012 movie, there was a sneak preview of Sherlock Holmes movie, of course, I know some of you ladies here love RDJ right? it really looks like Danny but naaaaaaaaaa, Danny is still Danny! YAY!
Again, Tiny life is so beautiful it became my favorite song from Danny now… I wish Amy and owlki can send us some downloadable mp3 for that for temporary reasons of course, cuz when the digital audio sale is up, I will erase all my downloaded free mp3 to buy the real thing YAY!
The next thing I want to see from Danny is to tweet us about something like this… Hey tweeps, Im here on my first day of my video shoot for _________ (its only , MBD, Tiny Life)! can’t wait for this world premier for all to see! <3
Im thinking, what will happen to this radio tours? I mean what will happen for the next 3 months? is there radio tours again? or something else? gosh! Danny really knows how to make us crave some more YAY!

Erika, it sounds like maybe your brother-in-law has a netbook? They are smaller than a laptop. Very compact and great for travelling, but they have limitations. Make you pull out your hair if you use them regularly!

Oh no Owlki! Hope you get it straightened out soon. These things only happen when they are most inconvenient. Such is life!
You men have excellent taste in music. TL is my favorite so far too!
And, Ellen, you are going to be needing a major nap today girlfriend! Here I thought I was the only person that was up in the middle of the night checking in here. Don’t know why, but most nights I sleep for a couple of hours, am awake for an hour or two, and then go back to bed. I usually sleep less than six hours a night.
Enough of my rambling. Too much personal information!
I am going to officially flip out when that tweet comes in GG!

Tiny Life is my favorite song. There isn’t a studio version yet, right? Or did I miss it? I love that song and wish it was Danny’s first single. Slthough I would be happy with any of the three songs as his first. Wish he could put out 3 at one time!
Gokey Guy Didn’t know Wisconsin was mentioned in 2012 – That’s where my family is from! I’ll have to tell my Dad to be prepared to be living in the new South Pole in 3 years!

i just listened Best Days the studio version it’s beautiful! Now i’m listening Tiny Life that’s an wonderful song!!!! Danny is surprising us, that’s not just good music it’s beyond that!! I’m loving every second of this…we discovering his songs his album little by little!! 
And there’s so much videos of his interviews!! I have to see them all but i can’t now i hope later i’ll be able to do it!

Good morning, It was great to read some longer posts from Owlki and CG. Its fun to share Danny with others isn’t it Owlki? I’m working on my son’s fiancee and my daughter–but there’s nothing like a truly addicted fan like all of you!
CG, thanks for the heads up about WI and 2012–I hadn’t heard of the references to WI in the movie.

RE the DG trio of songs: while TL is growing in my appreciation, My Best Days is fun and makes me move, I still love Its Only–especially the longer version–it just hooks me with the emotional connection it has. Tough life, being a Gokey fan these days, eh?

Nothing we didn’t see before, but it’s good they are starting to put out information more often. I think everyone would like to see some posting of Danny’s appearances including the radio tour stops.

Someone was asking (Michelle?) if I had run across any hints of other appearances. The only one was the person yesterday who said she heard a Wisconsin radio station promoting a lunch event with Danny. She seemed to be in Madison, and had 96.3 country station on her twitter following list. I can DM anyone interested her twitter name so you can see what she wrote or possibly ask her.
Beyond that, all I know are
- fundraiser and parade appearances in Detroit
- Grafton next Saturday
- the new Mercy fundraiser that came to light yesterday in Arkansas (Dec 5th?)
- Coyote Joe’s down south (squeeee for Amy, again) on the 16th
- singing the NA at the Packers football home game (sorry, forget the name of your team there!)
Might be a good guess that Danny might hang out with the Detroit country station next week. They interviewed Danny during CMA Week and the female radio personality said that she was going to be introducing Danny for his appearance at the big fundraiser. Don’t remember which station it was, I’m sure the interview got posted here though.

I love Tiny Life! I think this should be the second single. It’s exactly the type of song I imagined he would sing on his album, and just think of the amazing video possibilities it has. Ahhhhh!
I’m sorry I missed all the fun last night. I was exhausted! Not sure if from work or the overload of Danny news these past couple of weeks, but I laid down for a nap and didn’t wake back up until this morning. I didn’t even have dinner!
Erika, that sucks about your laptop. That’s exactly what happened to mine. One day it just wouldn’t charge anymore, and the power cord got messed up too. I’m finally having it repaired, for the past few months I’ve been using this old desktop dinosaur. My son has the good computer, because he makes all kinds of graphics, videos, and other geeky things on his (he’s very good btw). He’s thinking about a career in animation.
I love all three of Danny’s songs. Call me biased, but I think all of them have more potential to be hits than any of Adam’s, Kris’s or Allison’s. I used to have my doubts, but now I think Danny going country was an incredibly smart decision.

Re Danny’s schedule: The Green Bay Packers play the Seattle Seahawks on Sun Dec 27. I would love to be at that game to see Danny in his natural environment–A huge stadium with screaming Packer fans. However, the Packer games are sold out to season ticket holders –I manage to get to one game each year with my son.

I am loving the ‘Love Man’ these days! These singles all rock solid. Each one is easily a huge hit.
Kinda funny how marketing sets him up to be mostly one thing, when we know the wonderful truth… that he is everything!
Got a kick out of the Bull announcer introducing him as ‘Hope in Spectacles!’. Wonder where he got that little phrase, and if it came from the label or Danny’s mgmt team.
Danny has really come out of the gates roaring! These singles are awesome! To be honest, I was nervous about how all this was going to go down for Danny, but not anymore.

Been listening to and thinking about the three songs. I haven’t fell in love with Tiny Life yet – I think I need to hear the studio version. Not sure if we will get that chance. The lyrics are beautiful and I love ballad Danny so I’m sure I will love the song. I am surprised by how much My Best Days has grown on me. I think because I love the steel guitar and the song just makes me smile and want to dance. I do think it is too short at 3 minutes. Can’t wait to see the video. Am I correct that the first time he sang it in (not sure what radio station) they played a video in back of Danny with scenes from AI and his life. I hope they plan to shoot a video for the song and I’m thinking that a video will debut in January. Adam’s FYE was released for sale a couple of weeks ago and no video yet. I am still hoping for that 3 song digital EP with Danny new songs for sale on Itunes just in time for Christmas. A girl can wish, can’t she.

Danny’s newest song is my favorite, but then again I say that each time we hear a new song! There was a lot of going back and forth on Twitter last night about Danny and how he didn’t seem right yesterday singing his new song. My conclusion is that he is truly exhausted! Let’s hope he gets plenty of rest this weekend.

Lizzy, you have more self control than I do–I devour the Danny videos as they come in–at the risk of anything I’m suppose to be doing. In fact this morning I tried to tell myself–stay away from the computer, just listen to Danny’s music– I should be getting ready to host Thanksgiving!!!–but here I am :}
I hope Danny sleeps for the next 48 hours and rests that precious voice. I wonder if he’ll be back in the studio Monday and Tuesday? Maybe it will be a little slower around here–not that I necessarily want that–but for his sake I hope he gets a break before the big Wedn-Saturday push! Jan

Goodmorning lovely ladies!!! I see everyone is up and excited about Danny’s potential!!! I get the feeling that they may release the album sooner than march because so far they have released several songs ahead of time. I think after Danny does his rounds in the Country industry, the management team will ramp it up with music videos, TV appearances and possibly a photo shoot in a Magazine. I believe they are allowing the Country fans and media outlets become familiar with Danny first and then they will pull out all the stops to promote him more ( at least I hope so?!).

That is sad news Danielle. Perhaps, they’ll offer it up as another single later. After, Danny has established himself as a known entity in country. The reason I say this, is it will give him more leeway to promote an inspirational song. Don’t know if you all have caught Rascal Flats latest. It is a moving song about having lost someone you love to suicide. Not a grab you, feel good song, but a meaningful song. They’ve earned their way to putting out such a single. Danny will be there soon enough.
On a personal note, I do think it is shame the label has to be so PC, but this is the way the world works. I do think they were afraid that beautiful single would force Danny into a box in his career.

Danny Looks Ahead to Great Days with Debut Single, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me”
American Idol Season Eight finalist and 19 Recordings/RCA Nashville recording artist Danny Gokey has been busy working on his debut album, and as country radio programmers who were in Nashville for last week’s CMA Awards began hearing some of his songs, the feedback was overwhelming: they loved the uplifting, up-tempo “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me.” The song, which will be Danny’s debut single, will arrive at country radio within the next few days.
“I love this song for what it stands for,” Danny says. “I don’t live in the past. I live in the ‘now’…in the future…and in the dreams that I have. I know that my best days really are ahead of me.”
Fans can hear the song online immediately at http://www.dannygokey.com, and viewers in Los Angeles who caught his appearance earlier this week on the KTLA Morning News got to see an acoustic sneak preview performance of “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” which is also online now at http://www.ktla.com/entertainment/.
A digital single will be available on December 22, with a full album arriving early next year.

Agree with Maryann. It seems that once Danny signed with the label, everything has to be done the “right way” according to them. It is nice to see that he still has control over his Twitter account (for now). That would be a shame for us as well as Danny if they took that over. I think Danny loves getting tweets from his fans and loves being able to tweet himself.

In addition to waiting for Danny’s tearjerker song, I am anxiously waiting for that wildly fun country throw down song. You know, the way too much fun raucous song that appears to be mandatory for most country artist’s albums. The one that gets the crowd going in concert.
Danny needs one to show his lighthearted adorkable side. One to bust the moves on too!

We need to remember that the lead single is supposed to build buzz and excitement around the album. MBD is likely to have a wider audience – not just in Country music, but I can see the potential as a cross over in mainstream pop. MBD is easier to market especially on the radio tours. And I can see it being a crowd pleaser at live shows. And they can go in a lot of different directions with the video.
There’s also been a lot of chatter regarding it being a song on a soundtrack for a future movie. I can totally see that for MBD.
I still love IO. It will still be on the album. And it would make sense for a future release.

Jen, great to see you here.
It’s disappointing if we can’t buy It’s Only for a while longer. But I can understand, they may wish to give Best Days a chance to concentrate all Danny’s sales on the charts vs. spreading his digital buys between two songs right out of the box. I hope they will put It’s Only out in January as a second track, like they did with Carrie’s CD where there were serial releases after her official single Cowboy Casanova came out.
That would be great for Danny’s schedule to be posted on his myspace. And I’m sure it would save him some fans tweeting him pestering him for details on where he’ll be.

Danny is very fortunate in that he has good people looking out for him and guiding his career.
I am willing to bet that Adam, Kris and Allison wish they could have had different debut singles. Unfortunately, their struggles were played out where it had the most impact – with adds and sales in the marketplace.
Danny was never even remotely close to that point. RCA did test marketing with a limited radio release and thought MBD is a more commercial song. No proof what so ever that they consider IO to be a failure – unlike what the haters may want to harp on.

I am over the moon about MBD being the first single! I just love that song and it makes me wanna do my Snoopy happy dance! It’s bright and lively and just makes me break out in a great big grin, and mostly because it reminds me that DANNY’S best days are ahead of HIM! My eyes fill with tears of joy for him knowing that he is living his dream! This song has top of the charts written all over it!!!
lizzy, I’m not quite loving TL yet either but sometimes it takes a few listens to have a song grab me. I bet it grabs me real good when I hear the studio version!

I do wish that Danny’s label would release “It’s Only” as a track off of Danny’s album for digital download. Because I would like to buy the song and I do think “It’s Only” could do almost as well as “My Best Days” would do. Plus the studio version of the song is already out there.
So far “Tiny Life” is my favorite song off of Danny’s album and I think that they should release that song as Danny’s second single. I think that releasing an upbeat song as the first single and then a romantic ballad as the second single would be a good decision by Danny’s label.

I just want to say I hope Danny gets the chance for some well-deserved R&R this weekend and can rest his throat, especially if he has a cold/sore throat. He has a mega-busy weekend coming up and he needs to be in tip-top shape and 100% on, for the ihearties who are so lucky to be seeing him in less than a week!

My fave among the 3, hmmmmm. So fun to be a rough decision! Def. need to hear more of Tiny Life- the verses were rough for him (he was sick, also interesting comment at MJs yest.- a person who is usually a hater said she “forgives” Danny for being out of breath because of the altitude and extreme dryness of Salt Lake. Makes sense when you see him stop, shake his head and gasp for breath at one point in TL).
But the chorus, oh my- here is big belter Danny- can’t wait to hear more.
Like Shirl and Lizzy, I actually think Best Life is growing on me tremendously and really do think it is a better choice for lead single. Its only is beautiful and exemplifies Danny, but its prob. not the best cuppa tea for everyone; esp. those who shy away from Christian music at the drop of a hat-I still say its more sociologically significant than religious, but the extended version even has a “fall down on our knees” reference so I can see Danny getting stuck in the CCM box with it.
I think Best Days has a much better chance of crossing over to pop, also. Lovin it!

I suspect TPTB will take down Danny’s studio version of It’s Only from YouTube with close to 45,000 views (I Still say WOW) which will be a shame because I love that song and will now have to wait until March to listen to it on my Ipod.
With that said, I completely undestand why they changed singles. It’s Only was only debuted the Friday before the week of the CMA’s when the vast majority of radio DJ’s were in Nashville. It is quite possible that those radio types who heard Danny’s song preferred My Best Days to It’s Only. We know the music director from the Milwaukee station was not a fan of It’s Only. Would like to know what he thinks of Best Days or if he just doesn’t like Danny. Anyway, I agree with Chris Sligh if It’s Only was not well received my country music radio that could have a negative impact on Danny’s career in country music. If it is true that they really liked My Best Days (and Chris Sligh definately seems on board) than they better give it some decent spins.

FOGS – I don’t it will be good marketing to have multiple products from Danny out there at the same time. They will be competing against one another in the market place. By previewing the 3 songs, RCA is building buzz and excitement for the album. It’s not just appeasing the existing fans, but Danny and RCA also need to reach out to new fans. And I think that’s where MBD will be stronger. It is an upbeat, likeable song – that really reflects Danny’s personality – and showcases his rich, soulful voice.
I love IO, but I agree – Danny would have been stucked in the CCM box. It would also have been a harder sell for new fans and a lead in to the album.

My laptop should be fixed in a week or two. I miss all my music–I had over 300 songs downloaded and was not able to save them to this computer because there wasn’t enough of a charge for me to do that. The guy repairing it says everything is still there–my entire collection of DC’s Idol performances and his entire pre-Idol album Analog Heart and some Axium songs, some of Danny’s early Idol songs, and much, much more from other artists I like. Fortunately I was able to save all my pictures and transfer them to this computer (my son helped with that). I was afraid I lost my music collection forever!
The person repairing it is probably thinking what an obsessed crazy fan I was since almost everything I had on it was David or Danny related, lol.
I am kind of/sort of friends with my ex (even though most of the time he’s a lazy ass) and at least he likes Danny (which surprised me since he used to hate Idol). He likes DC too. I had him listen to Danny’s singles and he thinks they are better and have more commercial potential than Adam’s or Kris’s too. He really likes Best Days a lot. My daughter likes Danny too, even though she’s much more a Kris Allen fan–she thinks he’s so cuuuuutttee! lol
My son liked Adam at first but is now turned off by him because he thinks he is selling out about his sexuality and thinks his album cover encourages the stereotype of gay men being “effeminate.” So he might not buy his album now. He thinks Danny is “HOTT”!

DJG Music, you could really tell Danny wanted to get up and dance during that radio performance of Best Days! He looked about to jump out of his skin. I wonder why he didn’t get up and move around. Was he chained to the stool?
Btw, I love when Danny performs sitting on a stool. It makes him seem very singer-songwriterish, and makes the performances seem very intimate. Ahh, I want to see that man play acoustic guitar sometime when he sings. I know Kris was teaching him. I wonder if he’s proficient enough to accompany himself yet. Maybe by his solo tour he will be. Imagine Danny singing songs he wrote himself and accompanying himself on a guitar.

My feelings are shared about BD it will be a big hit among radio stations not just country. I have seen all the videos on here and Danny did a great job although a rough couple of days and it couldn’t have been easy to sing so well regardless of his throat so that shows you he has real talent also want to mention that I have noticed how much Def gets into playing the guitar just like Danny does with his singing. So glad Danny is off and getting a R&R weekend. Shirl-I am a newbie here but I did want to let you know you were in my thoughts yesterday and very happy for you that you got great news.
I feel so fortunate as fan not only to this site but also that in this day and age the internet is available for all of us to follow our favorites and be part of it as it happens to them.

Hey y’all!!! Just feels like a very ‘blah’ day today but it’s all good. Anyway, that sucks that RCA isn’t releasing ‘It’s Only’ for digital download next month. I can understand their reasoning as to why b/c of switching that one to ‘Best Days’ as the single to be released but I think that since it’s been out for a while(It’s Only) that they should make it available for downloading anyway right along w/’Best days’. Makes sense to me. I really do think the more airplay that ‘Best days’ gets it’ll do really well w/the downloading sales, etc.
Other than that, how’s everyone else doing?

I would like to give my perspective on the issue of Adam’s Sexuality and the media perceived betrayal of his sexuality. This is only my opinion, it is not discrediting anyone else’s perspective. I think his sexuality should be a non issue, just as Danny’s faith, or someone’s ethnicity should not be an issue related to their talent or career. I believe Adam represents the gay community pretty well; he has been true to who he is consistently. Unlike heterosexuality, homosexuality is a broad umbrella with variations and degrees of expressions; there are more gray areas than absolutes. I am completely surprised that Adam is getting this slack from The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community. It appears the rejection is coming from the fact that he did a photo shoot with a nude woman ( I don’t Condone it ), despite everything he went thru to be the artist that he is, this one isolated incident now defines him as rejecting his sexuality. When Adam first auditioned for American Idol, he auditioned as a singer, not as a gay singer; Adam never made his sexuality an issue on AI; the media made Adam’s sexuality an issue.
Adam expressed in an interview a while back that he wanted to make music that was universal. The fact that Adam was able to breakthrough his own comfort zone and take pictures with a nude woman, was probably a milestone in his own capacity to be flexible. I realize the label wants to make him appeal to a broad audience; therefore, I do not see anything wrong with him posing with a woman; posing with a nude woman does not take away from his sexuality no more than Danny doing mainstream music take away from his faith/ Christianity. It is all business. I am certain down the line we will see Adam posing with men in some form. I do agree that posing with a NUDE woman was pretty risky and not totally tasteful but by no means is this betrayal of his sexuality. Also, I am appalled at the comments that he is perceived to be too gay; I see transsexuals, transvestites and cross dressers in our society all the time, so how does Adam all of a sudden becomes too gay?? His sexual expression is very much consistent with the Gay community. Finally, I think the controversy only arose because according to some of those in the gay community; it is Taboo for a gay man to be seen being intimate with a woman. This is almost similar to the taboo of interracial couples being intimate. I think Adam should be free to be an artist and if he spread his wings a little bit to show appreciation for broader audiences, then I think he should be applauded for it.

LATRECE! WOW! Your 3:13 p.m. post is so on the money! I could not agree more. It’s all about fighting stereotypes. Gay people, like almost any group, are a diverse bunch. I mentioned before a dear friend who happens to be religious and conservative — and gay. He doesn’t fit the stereotype. And I cannot tell you how many times I’ve encountered assumptions about my beliefs — that I should think a certain way because I’m female, or because I’m Catholic, etc. Where is the REAL tolerance, that is not afraid of ambiguity or shades of gray? The media and gay groups are both using Adam because of his celebrity. They should just leave Adam alone to be who he is. He signed up to be a singer, not a gay spokesperson.

Shirl, after I gave away my secrets I think FoGS and some others are beating me out a lot lately.
But yes, at least for me I basically just use the RSS feeds, and look at them periodically when I have a few free minutes (avoiding laundry day, is a popular time!). I set up new ones to watch anyone who seems interesting, then delete them when it seems that anything pertinent will be over.

I completely respect your opinion and agree with much of what you said; but I can sympathize with many in the gay community who feel somewhat betrayed by Adam’s management. If you read the letter that caused the controversy, its more about his management (and I guess Adam going along with it by default) wanting Adam to not be “Too gay”. I agree with Cheryl and some others who think the pics of him with a naked woman (and they weren’t just “arty” naked pics- they were highly sexual with her breast in his mouth, etc) is a sell out of his sexuality. They seem to feel (and I agree) that 19 doesn’t want him to be “too gay” so they set up media opportunities to try and “sell” his “possibly not gay or possibly bisexual” to his audience. If his sexuality isn’t an issue, why do they even have to involve sex-there are plenty of other themes for a photo shoot.
I have a couple of gay employees and a gay male friend who interestingly enough feels the same as Helios son that they want people to see them as just people and not have to take pics w/the opposite sex, make a big issue of their sexuality in Rolling Stone, etc. He just thinks they are using Adam’s sexuality for marketing purposes and that it should be a non-issue.
I do agree the issue is more a media issue and how his management plays into that; perhaps Adam has no say in how his management presents him and should not be criticized.
It certainly must be difficult to be in a position of such scrutiny; the price of fame.
Adam definitely never signed up to be a gay spokesperson, that’s for sure, but again I can sympathize with those in the gay community who may feel like I have at times- If a woman in a position of power does something questionable; I can’t help but cringe because I am a woman too, and worry that it reflects poorly on women in general.
Remember, Danny likes bright colors (your shopping trip)

Pam, not only did I (and my son) feel that Adam (whether intentionally or not) was selling out his sexuality by posing with a naked girl in Details, I also feel that the girl being naked with Adam fully dressed was in a way a throwback to the days of women being treated as sex objects or props, rather than human beings in their own right. I never considered myself much of a feminist really, but to me it was just kind of offensive to women in general.

Pam, it was a male person who tweeted that about the glasses, I’ll DM you the name. Sounds like his stepmom is the fan or at least SHF supporter, and got them for him. I hadn’t realized that they were being auctioned with the idea of a new prescription so someone could actually wear them, not just keep them for a souvenir.
The young man doesn’t seem too aware of Danny, but he’ll probably learn as you have to think he’ll be proud to wear the glasses owned by a celebrity. He may already be, and is just pretending on twitter to not be impressed by Danny. (gotta protect those ‘cool points’ at all costs, you know)
I thought it was kinda sweet, anyway, that the stepmom got them and gave them to him. Sounds like he will be happy to wear them.

If anyone posts to that Music Row site, it does grab your gravatar if you use the same email as you have here.
One reason I changed mine from the Danny pic to something neutral, after I forgot to use a different email account on the day I posted something to the hater thread at Top Idol. Didn’t want my Danny fangirl credentials to be so obvious there as I was challenging their facts in their hatin’ on Keith Urban saying that he liked Danny from the AI season. (They were suggesting Danny was delusional to mention it, and Keith was a liar for saying so to Danny.)
Probably also a good idea not to use a fan gravatar on the Music Row site, which seems to be more an industry site than a fan site.

HI Pam!! I really appreciate you giving me more insight regarding the conflict that lead to the perception of Adam’s sellout to his sexuality. I certainly can sympathize with the fears of those in the gay community that Adam is going to deny his sexuality; I realize they a marginal group and are sensitive to any exploitation or suppression of homosexuality. Unfortunately, they don’t have enough evidence to Substantiate those fears. Posing with the nude lady was classless no doubt. Even a straight male posing in a scene like that is disgusting, but the issue is not whether the pictures were too racy, rauchy and explicit, the issue is did Adam sellout because he took those racy pictures. The anwser to that question is most likely not. Adam definitely was acting (whether it was an art form or not), he was still acting. I think the management team realize the backfire it created with trying to broaden Adam’s appeal. There have been actor’s in the past who have played straight roles Example: Queen Latifah who is completely lesbian, David Hyde Pierce who plays Frasier’s brother on Frasier: then Clay Aiken (who literally had a baby by a woman), and finally Heath Ledger, who played a gay male and was really rauchy with another male. This is all acting. However, I do empathize with those that have fears that Adam has betrayed them. Anyway Gokey sisters, I love you all, everyone of us is so vibrant, intelligent and passionate, that is why we are Dannylovers!!! because he is so passionate!!

I hate the way the haters will start hating on anyone–even big successful stars–who say positive things about Danny.
Amy or Owlki, I think Part 3 is finally complete. I had to add a bit more, about Best Days and Tiny Life. It’s appropriate to end my article with a discussion about MBD, as it ends the article on a hopeful, positive note.
There may be a Part 4, but I’m waiting until his album drops for that.
So I was wondering, Amy or Erika, if this can be posted up on the front page here?

I’m tweeting RCARecords to see if they need me to write Danny’s bio. Do you peeps think I’m going overboard with this? I’m really serious, I am sooooo sick of my crappy job as a health insurance claims adjuster and really, really, really want to write, and this could be a springboard for me. (don’t worry, Latrece, I’m no copying you–I used to be a magazine editor/book reviewer and really want to get back into writing for a living, somehow). The only thing that sucks is I have no connections and no marketing ability.
Writing Danny’s bio was the most fun thing I’ve done in a long time.

I’m afraid I’m going to end up like Nina with Danny in my town and someone else going to the performance! Mondays are my busiest day at work. Hiding at my desk, livestreaming a radio station is not going to work……
I still agree with Helio and Pam that Adam’s photo shoot with a woman was at best tasteless because of how it treated the woman–she as naked, he was not. But back to Danny!
Thanks Steph for finding the twitter link to the Madison interview. I had just emailed Tammy at Star County asking her if I had somehow missed it on her website. Isn’t it odd that it comes out the same day as the competitor’s Danny event announcement in little old Madison? Coincidence, I don’t think so. I think they’re fighting over him! (Just like us LOL) or maybe he’ll be at both stations?

helio, if there is some way you can get your Danny bio to RCA, I’d say run with it! That whole journal from beginning to end is a work of art. People write biographies and get them published all the time but how they actually get the eye of a publisher is beyond me.

Hi Pam. I think it will be very unlikely that I’ll score tickets to the Madison Radio event–its the 7th caller when you hear the “special song” of the day.
Unless the contest is run into the evening (or evening rush hour) I won’t be able to participate. I generally work 6:45 until 4:30 or 5PM. Only one person has any clue of my DG addiction. I don’t think I’ll advertise it. I found out this coworker and his wife our Adam fans, but since he grew up in Milwaukee he has some loyalty to Danny, and he likes Danny’s voice. In fact it spawned a conversion about Tony Bennett and the Rat Pack (obviously I’m too young for that!)
When we discovered our affection for AI, he said “why didn’t we ever talk about this?” Probably because I work in a male dominated office and its not too cool to fangirl over American Idols! Jan
PS. But being devious (I mean resourceful) I might try somehow….!

Helio, part 3 of your life journal on Danny is my favorite section! Maybe because its showcasing all the good things that are happening for Danny and less of the hate. I think that person at mjs that posted about Danny having a killer voice, is a Danny fan, and that they just don’t post very often about him. I think that I have seen at least one other post, (maybe a couple more) from them complimenting Danny.
There are some other Danny fans at mjs who post every once in a while and compliment him. There used to be quite a few more at TWOP, who did the same thing, but they haven’t posted about Danny in a while.

mj’s post about Tiny Life had a link to someone who had commented on a blog about seeing Jeffrey Steele perform the song in 2005, and praising it as a great song that someone should pick up. It didn’t say where, I was thinking maybe in a club where a singer/songwriter like that might do some songs.
I haven’t heard of anyone who has recorded Tiny Life before Danny, but haven’t really looked into it. (Where’s Lizzy?)
Since he was the writer behind WHTM and My Wish, among other great Rascal Flatts songs, and we know Danny likes that style — I’ve always guessed that Jeffrey could be the songwriter Brian Mansfield referred to, who had some six songs put on hold by Danny’s label. If so, it may be that they looked through more than just Jeffrey’s most recent songs, and found this one they really loved even though it’s not brand-new.
