    Good Morning Ladies, popping in to say Good Morning and have a great Monday. Beautiful picture of Danny, although he never takes a bad one. Loved that outfit on him. (don’t know if you say outfit for guys)lol but loved what he was wearing. Great news about Karla Davis writing for DAnny, don’t know who she is , but she sounds like a very talent person from her bio.

    Good morning! Thanks for posting Nancy’s video Steph6449, although don’t know if I can stand to listen to it with all the “riffs” (TWOP joke!).
    I”ll have to go listen and see if she was able to get the whole thing. I recorded it on TV, but they missed the beginning also.
    Hope MJ makes a separate thread for Danny, Lizzy said she sent videos last night to her.

    Morning Cindy, Rachel. Latrece and Steph. Hope everyone is having a good day.

    Shirl and company made my evening last night by posting the Tubey of Danny performing at that half time show. I really do think he is coming into his own, as he appears to be more polished and sounding even better to me (if that is humanely possible).

    He has reached the big time now, because appearances involve a clothing change. Super cute! I actually liked his hip look with the untied boots.

    Still waiting on those photo shoot pictures *tapping foot loaudly*! Adam, Kris and Allison’s “people” all have released a video of their photo-shoots as a PR thing. Can’t wait to see if Danny’s do the same when DGO is up and running.

    And Latrece, thank you for being such an advocate for Helio- I am writing her today. Sometimes people just need a little help to uplift their soul and get them back on course. That is actually a big premise behind SHF; they do small acts of kindness, in addition to their larger vision of arts center- sometimes its something just like helping a single mother get into a new apartment when she lost hers (story on the website Smile )

    Latrece! I had your words in my head the whole time (Do not be prissy, do not be prissy!).
    But Danny had a sandwich in his hand for the first hug so I couldn’t tackle him (Smile ) and the second spontaneous hug he gave me before he left was a surprise, I didn’t have time to react!
    Danny definitely has no qualms about touching his fans and treats them like friends.
    But you are right Latrece, it is easy to go into starstruck mode when the real deal is standing right next to you!

    Latrece, you are correct, Gokey fans are special (because Danny is and he attracts those types of fans).
    Glad you decided to join in the Danny fun, New Cindy!
    I checked MJ’s to see if she put Danny’s appearance as a headline yet- no. It was interesting to read comments there; a lot of complaining on how 19 has rolled out publicity for the Idols, esp. Adam. Don’t really understand that, all you hear about is Adam! I guess debuting your single on a big award show isn’t enough for them. I think they have to remember he is not a proven “star” and the exposure 19 is getting him is pretty fabulous, IMO.
    I hope we have nothing to complain about when Danny’s publicity revs up come December! Except being patient until then Frown

    So we add another person, Karla Davis, to our list of intereting people that might connect musically with Danny…sweet!

    A video of new pics of Danny just makes my mouth water! I hope his label follows through and does this for him…I should say for US because we will definitely want to see this.

    Lots of people on today. We are all so excited about Danny’s single and his performance on Saturday. I listened to Danny’s halftime performance and Anthem over and over on the way to work. He sounded beautiful. Danny can sing ANYTHING and sound good. Of course, we all knew that already! His anthem blew me away because it was acapella and had to be pitch perfect – no music to cover mistakes. I would love to hear Danny do a concert unplugged. Wouldn’t that be beautiful?

    I have to get some work done, but I will be back later!

    Claudia, about the ssme time there, didn`t realise, it`s 4.17 here! Yes, Danny is the master of changing melodies-he makes every song his own-even the NA!! GokeyGuy, if you`re still here-I went onto X Factor website last night, and discovered that they had an American I dol Forum! Had no idea-it was season 8 so I had a look through, hoping to pick up anodd Danny fan, of course-sadly, although no nasty comments-it was all Adam, Adam, Adam, but they DID say that the `guy with the glasses` had a fantastic voice and predicted it would be Adam, Kris and Danny in the final three-this was early on in the competition and from UK fans-interesting-Bon Jovi wereon the X last night,we love Rock over here-get a feeling Adam will be here before long! Very interesting info. on the young lady who is a country singer and writer-She will write a perfect song for Danny I am sure-can`t wait!

    Great pics of Danny from his performance Sat night. These AP photos have probably already been posted but I’ve been gone for a couple days and out of the loop.

    I again sent videos and pics to MJ to post as a separate blog. Sent them last night too. I can’t believe she can post the break-up of Adam and Drake as a separate blog but not of Danny singing at a major sporting event in front of 15,000 people.

    Also, glad to hear another person has written songs for Danny. I have not heard of Karla Davis but sounds like she writes the kinds of songs Danny liked to sing.

    I was thinking about Danny performing My Wish and Life is a Highway at the Buck game. It really does seem like Danny is going to sing Rascal Flatts type songs on his album, at least I think his first single will be that type of song. I am happy about that because I think he has done and will do really well with those type songs.

    It am keeping my fingers crossed his label does have him do a acoustic radio tour. He sounds so good live and I think that is probably why they are planning it. Not all artists could pull off doing an interview and then signing their song live on the radio but Danny definately can and I think the radio stations will respect him for doing so and hopefully play his new single.

    I think an acoustic radio tour is going to different cities and doing radio interviews and singing your new single live. When Brandon Fraley tweeted the other day he was gearing up for Danny’s radio tour and mentioned guitar, keys and back-up vocals we thought that meant Danny was not just going to do radio interviews but perform his single for the radio stations. Very exciting – hope it happens.

    Joel is happy about Danny’s single also.

    joelkonecny Danny’s single is almost here and I can’t wait to hear what he’s been working on. The family is very proud of him. Sing it son!

    Yes, Danny used a double negative. I think he likes to use “street talk”. He did go to a predominantly African American High School and I think he mixes the Kings’ grammar with “Urban Lingo”, lol. It does get him bashed. I’m a little miffed that a fan pointed that out, I think we all know what he meant!

    I am not too surprised that mj hasn’t posted the performances of Danny performing at the Bucks game yet. She might not ever post them. She seems to mostly only post stuff about Adam, (because stuff about him gets the most hits) and sometimes stuff about Kris and Allison, and stuff here and there about past idols.

    She hasn’t even given Danny his own headline about his radio tour and about the date his single drops and that is very important information. But she posts a thread about Adam and Drake’s break up. I wish that other idols besides Adam, Kris and Allison would get more coverage on her site.

    MJ usually posts the things I send her about Danny. I don’t know if she is backed up but I am surprised she hasn’t posted it.

    She posted Michael Sarver singing a song the other day and just posted a soundcheck interview with Chris Richardson. There is absolutely no reason for her not to post Danny’s videos from Saturday night. Where is the link to Danny’s interview for he mentions his single being released Dec 14th. I can send that to her along with the tweet from Chris Farley about a radio tour. If anyone wants to send her info to post on Danny, click on contact on the right side and send her your info. I try to send her original source info. I do not link her to this site or any other blog, only official news info or Utube, etc.

    Also, I thought that Danny did a good job with the National Anthem and I don’t mind when singers inject a little flavor into their singing when they are singing the anthem. I know that some people like it best when the idols sing the anthem strictly straight up.

    I think that mj saw all of that recent stuff about Danny. People were talking about it in the headline threads. She often posts stuff about Adam that people post in the headline threads, stuff that people don’t always send directly to her.

    I am pretty sure she knows that Danny is doing a radio tour and that his single is out December 14, but she just chose not to post it.

    It looks like people have directly sent some of this information to her more than once. But she still hasn’t posted it. Yet she posted a break up thread about Adam and Drake.

    I guess people could send her that information again, but she still might not post it.

    Was a link ever posted for the interview that Danny did in Milwaukee where he talks about his single being released or was it just hearsay. The reason I ask is because MJ normally won’t take info from the Idol headlines and post a blog for it unless it comes from an official source. She is not going to start a blog saying someone heard Danny say in a radio interview that his single would be released Dec 14th. If Danny had tweeted that, she probably would have posted it or if I sent her the link to the interview she may post it. When she takes info from the headlines and makes it a blog it usually when someone posts the site for news or videos and then people start talking about it a lot and she think it deserves it’s own blog. Most of the time when I send videos or news articles directly to her, she posts them. Not sure why she hasn’t posted the Bucks game performances.

    right now, entertainment is all about the shock factor…it gets people noticed and recognized, but sometimes it can leave a not so pleasant impression. In the long run, I think it would be more beneficial for an artist to be known for great songs and being a great person than being known for always being the center of controvercy.

    About Adam’s song I am not into the whole electronic techno dance music, but I do like parts of the song. I just am not a fan of Adam’s voice. I don’t like the screechiness of it. If he would have left those parts out and just sang in his lower register, which I like, the song would be better.I can’t get over the picture in my mind of Adam as a Chanteuse in a Cabaret. The funny thing is he only sounds like that on recorded music and he didn’t when he sang live on tour. I am curious if the whole album has the same kind of music, because if it does there is no way I would like it. I hope he has some slower “ballad” type music, which I think he sings beautifully.

    t all the great things coming his way and his joy is infectious. I just feel so good when I see how happy he seems. I would think he is stressed a great deal, but because it is the kind of stress that will lead to good things for Danny, I’m sure he is able to deal with it. He seems like he has the kind of type A personality that can’t sit still and always has to be on the go, so it is probably not as difficult for him as it might be for someone who has a more layed back personality. Danny just does not come across as layed back to me.

    Danny is definitely a type A personality. IMHO, he put more hard work into his AI performances than any of the others idols he was competing with, not to mention his tour performances.     I’d like to point out that everyone of those negative comments at MJ’s are from die hard fans (BMMS, GREENeyedlady,rockvixen and ravengirl) of the Idol who has not been asked or sang the national anthem at a major sports event. So its pretty obvious to me its the same old jealousy/fan wars issue. Some people never grow up and we shouldn’t let them spoil our fun.
    Don’t worry about them and what they post!
    The best solution is just to not go to MJ’s if you are worried about being upset by immature bashers. Although I have to say that its not always like that- there were only very nice comments on the Dream Center article she posted.

    Latrece, to answer your question; I’m not sure if its increased his fanbase, but it is MUCH less negative over there than it used to be.
    I think lurkers/Danny lovers feel freer to post positive things when they see others posting positive.
    But I don’t blame anyone at all if they don’t like to go to sites where there may be negative things; it is much nicer/safer here in Amy’s Dannyland Smile

    My reasoning for posting at MJ’s. There ARE fans who go to the site that are fans of other Idols. She also tweets her headlines. If I can get her to post headlines on Danny then what he is doing may reach more Idol fans. Most Danny fans already saw the videos of Danny at the Bucks game but other Idol fans may not have. I also like to read her blog because there IS info on other Idols and I like Carrie (who gets very few comments by the way), David Cook and a few others. Her site is consider the most active American Idol blog. Danny gets a lot fewer comments than he use to because there do not seem to be as many haters feeling the need to comment, which is good but I want him to get a fair amount of comments to show their is interest.

    Maybe I’m weird, but I like reading the hater sites because what they say is so stupid it makes me laugh. I wasn’t always that way. During the season, the things they were saying literally had me in tears many times. How could people say such horrible things about such a sweet, innocent, talented man who never hurt anyone? But since the hate isn’t so overwhelming any more (and I’ve probably become somewhat desensitized to it, like Danny has had to do), now it just makes me shake my head and laugh.

    I also want to tell everyone I am SO GRATEFUL I BECAME A DANNY FAN! I have to admit, I never had many friends in real life before, being so shy and uncomfortable in social situations (I actually think I have Asperger’s but was never officially diagnosed with that) so it’s always been harder for me to connect with people, as long as I can remember. I much prefer being alone to being in a group of people, and gravitate to solitary activities, like reading, writing, or being online. I am such a nerd. But this community is so amazing and supportive , and I can’t believe the outpouring of support toward me the last day or two. I feel so lucky to be part of this community, with such wonderful, caring people, and it’s all because of my love for Danny I came here, just like you all did. So in a way, he is behind all this. I feel blessed right now, and not as hopeless as I did.
    Thank you everyone so much for your generosity and your concern.

    I’ll check out the mj’s thread. For the most part, I find that they have some interesting articles (though could have done with AL’s love life update, or Jason Castro’s for that matter). I agree with Pam I think, that most people probably don’t even look at the comments, they just read the headline or the article itself.
    That is a popular site for those interested in AI and the AI performers. On balance, I think it’s good for Danny to get exposure there. (Until mighty’s blog comes out, of course)
    I wouldn’t compare mj’s to a place like VFTW, even if some of the individual posters can be nasty. And keep in mind, they attack each other over Adam or Kris also, it’s not just Danny.

    mj ran an item in her Headlines about Danny’s appearance at the Bucks game, based on a media report. I agree with FOGS or Lizzy or Pam above, mj normally won’t run something based on a fan tweet or other report. The report about a Radio Tour is just from our twitter detective work here, based on the tweets from Brandon Farley. I doubt mj would consider that an official source.

    Carole, you’d never know it from his persona on his shows, but Simon has a huge heart. He is extremely generous with his money. He also paid the mortgage on the house of the family of a little girl suffering from cancer who was a huge DC fan in season 7. No, it wasn’t little Lindsay Rose either, but someone else. They were about to lose their home because the cancer treatments were so expensive, so he paid off their mortgage! I also think he was the one who paid all the expenses involved in having Adam Cook shipped in to watch David perform ABMB and at the finale. The benefactor was never disclosed (I know one one of them was the Kansas City Royals) but I think the other benefactor was Simon himself. He didn’t like Cook much in the beginning, but by midseason he became a huge fan and wanted him to win.
    Simon has a forked tongue but a heart of gold.

    Helio, you are right-he`s become Patron of some Children`s Society as well-He also gives an enormous ammount of money to someone, whose name escapes me, to keep her Dog Rescue Centre running every year-He does show his `softer side` on the `X`, somehow, I feel that he seems to be totally different on AI-strange-If only he could stop `pimping`-maybe he`ll realise one day! I`m watching an interview with the remaining 4 guys of Boyzone, their first since Steven died- I wish you could see it over there-I am lost for words-they are such caring guys-and they speak with an enormous ammount of wisdom-I has just broken down-very sad-They did so much re;-funeral arrangements, flying to Majorca, where Steven died-bringing him home,staying all night in the church-some very funny stories there,the priest clearly had a sense of humour!     I’m with you Helio, I get a kick out of the Haters most of the time, they’re so ridiculous. Like the couple at MJ’s that say Danny’s NA was awful; well even if you didn’t think it was great like I did, still……they just make themselves look so silly spewing such nonsense. Just always reaching for any little thing; especially when there is good news to report. I do think a lot of it is jealousy.
    Interesting about Megan Joy; is she just starting an album like Michael did before being signed? She hasn’t even said who she is signed with has she?

    When the tour ended, Megan said that she didn’t have any immediate prospects to get signed for an album, and she was talking about starting a band back home. Interesting to read her tweet today then sounding very optimistic about an album.

    I’m not sure Michael’s deal is for a full album. From what I’ve seen , it could be that he’s just doing a single with Dream Records and then they may do more recordings if it does well. I saw one of the AI news sites congratulating him for “being signed” but I didn’t see that in anything Michael himself or the Dream Center/Dream Records peeps have put out. (He also seems to have gone home now, which suggests to me he’s not necessarily recording a whole album, yet, at least.)

    Maybe they will do a press release though if he is signed for a full album or maybe at least a multi-song EP.

    Here’s my take to haters who blog on sits like MJ. The key words are immature and childish. I would venture to guess that most of these people aren’t working or going to school, just slacking around, nothing going on in their lives. And they likely don’t have money to buy Danny’s music or see him perform live. So they are essentially useless to Danny’s career. They will never be happy with anything he does.

    And when you think about it, the haters really been a complete failure when it comes to messeing with Danny. He still made it all the way to Top 3. He had great reviews from the tour. More important, he got the attention of 19E/Sony Nashville – and Mark Bright.

    And Danny’s not winning AI really was the best thing that ever happened, especially now that I see all the nonsense that they are putting Kris through. Danny is much better off. He’s doing his own thing, working with great people. No Adam vs Kris wars.

    Pam – yes, their hate on Danny has no basis and no grounds to start with. It all rooted from the start of the competition. Well, I think having haters around gives you the spotlight and not left behind to the flow of showbiz but Dannyhaters are “below the belt” sometimes. Maybe this is weird but cuz of all of these hates lurking around, we love Danny more than ever and we became more defensive for our Idol. Grin

Grin hmm like what Danny said, I have the greatest fans in the whole world… he truly appreciates us, despite of these hates, when Danny and us fans are shrouded in unreasonable hate during and after AI, we brought full force of our might and defended Danny with all of our best.     You are right; Danny does mean what he says; he loves his fans and it shows in the way he spends time with them, there’s tons of pictures floating around the net of Danny with fans, and he’s not hesitant in the least to touch and hug them.

    Oh and one more thing…again I am sorry if I sound like a party pooper or a nagging nelly, but lately the language here has been getting a little out of hand. I know that some people don’t mind it, but there may be some lurkers or first time visitors here that could potentially be turned off by this. I for one don’t use that kind of language and find it mildly offensive. I think we can find better ways of expressing ourselves, or we can always do like Thumper says in the movie “Bambi”…..”if you can’t say nothing nice, don’t say anything at all” Smile

    I don’t mean to make anyone feel picked on, but I just wanted to address the issue before it got out of hand and Amy or Erica have to come on and slap some hands.

    I love you all and want to make sure that this remains a loving and friendly environment! <3
