Pam’s AI Tour Madison Recap + Pictures

Jen and I had a blast. I’m glad she was a free spirit and contacted me to attend this concert; I just wouldn’t have thought of it!

Arrived in Madison about 2pm, I think. Buses had already been there half an hour. Not many people waiting; Madison was a great place to come and meet them. Matt, Michael, Scott,Kris and Danny came out before.

Danny, oh Danny! OMG, he was even more gorgeous than Milgokey. Shorts, flipflops, his “Lover not a Fighter” Tshirt. He’s growing his hair out ladies and it looks fantastic! And, Michelle, thanks for his gift- I believe he was wearing it- he defintely smelled incredible! Jen and I gave him chocolate, gum (that gives profits to charities), “kiss my face” organic facial cleanser and air freshener (I put in the card that it was for the Booty Bus or next time #adamfarted-twitter joke for those who are confused!). Signed it all from us, iheart girls and gokeygang(my card). Danny did his usual system- autos first (he was cute, he signed Hanneles pic first with his usual artistic signature, but then when I asked him to personalize it I had to spell it out for him and he printed it, lol, I guess he was really being careful not to misspell it!). I will attempt a pic of her auto pic, so she knows what to expect, and in case some catastrophe happens that its lost in the mail.

Danny was quite chatty with us! I will let Jen write about that, because she wrote down notes since of course we were so Danny infatuated we had to recap over dinner what was actually said! I’m sure she’ll tell you about her poster!

It worked out great because we were done with the barricades early enough to eat. Jen tried so hard to score us BS passes (I’ll let her recap that), but no luck. We drove to the capitol area and ate at the Great Dane pub-very good. Although I had a beer, so had to counteract that with coffee at the concert.

The Concert:

At first we were worried it was an Adam crowd, since its easy to pick out Glamberts, and every time Adam’s pics came up the teenies squealed.

The day kept getting better! A nice Adam fan from Texas (I didn’t feel so crazy, there were fans near the front attending their multiple concerts who flew from all over, lol) traded her friends front row seats for our second row so her friends could sit by her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was incredible, I have to say being up front is so worth the extra $$. Except… I had to put on my assertive hat- there was an obnoxious Adam fan tween who stood in front of us (her seats were way in another section!). I let her for awhile, but said she had to leave when Matt came. But she ignored me and when her friend came to stand there too, I firmly kicked them out. Later she moved to the right of us and a teen girl next to me pointed her out. I told her to go get an usher (I figured it would help her feel empowered!) so she did and the girl was kicked back again. Still eventually would up in a second row seat.

Anyway, Madison crowd definately smaller and quieter than Milgokey crowd, Jen and I were worried. But oh my gosh, they wound up giving Danny the loudest and longest cheers! You could tell how touched he was; they were so loud after WHTM, he couldnt even talk above them. He said he “Didn’t expect that”. I know someone tweeted he cried, but I did not notice that. I threw my purple Zinnias on stage during PYT (someone on twitter tweeted they were roses, lol), he looked at them and smiled, but picked them up after the song and set them out of the way. He really sounded so good; while he was singing, Jen just looked at me once with her mouth hanging open ,with a look of awe on her face. This sweet teen girl next to me (adam fan) was bawling during WHTM, awwww.

Madison also looooved Matt; in fact Jen and I thought his cheers rivaled Adam’s for second loudest. I thought everyone sounded better than in Milgokey (altho Starlight for Adam still sounded like “Minnie Mouse”), maybe cuz we were so close. One “WTH” moment; during Adam’s set the cute teen next to me (Who had cried during WHTM and also spazzed out when Danny pointed at her during PYT) threw a stuffed Jack (Nightmare before xmas) doll on stage for Adam. He picked it up (with almost an angry look on his face) and threw it right back. She looked so hurt, I felt so bad. I’m sure he didn’t mean to diss her “gift” but, wow, she sure took it that way. I don’t think anything else was thrown during the concert; I’m proud of my fellow Wisconsinites for not tossing bras, undies or whips up there. Hey Jude was awesome, (Kris is so sweet and adorable by the way!).

Great concert, but we were left wanting more Danny, for sure.

Waited after at the barricades, met up with Megan/Matt from Milgokey who drove up just for dinner/meet greet after. Prob. recognized/knew 10 other people from Milgokey concert there. Allison, Matt, Scott and Megan only ones to come out for meet and greet after. NO DANNY! We were shocked and poor Megan and Matt. The crowed was chanting “We Want Danny” (of course some Adam fans tried to counteract with We want Adam but did NOT overcome by any means!) but to no avail. I see he tweeted today that he was sorry, but he had a lot of unexpected friends/family show up. Lil, Anoop and Adam did not come out before OR after!! I guess they are all slacking off now that tour is almost done.

Got home at 1:45 am; up at 7:30 to work this am; but so worth it! Thanks Jen for thinking of going again, getting such good tix for us, and trying your best to get BS passes. It was so fun, I’d prob. go again if there was another close one, I’m turning into a groupie!
