Part II
I am going to skip right to the good stuff – Danny! Danny came out right after Allison and the crowd gave him a very load ROAR! I was surrounded by Adam and Kris fans, but the arena was very supportive of Danny. I was loving my view from Row2, dancing to PYT, he was sounding good. I was dancing, stopping to take a picture, dancing, stopping to take a picture – etc. I think the people around me thought I was nuts. Everyone on the floor by me was standing up the whole time dancing!
Next up was Maria, Maria and his dance moves and the microphone! Danny sounded really good! I had to slap myself a couple of times because literally I was so close when he came to my side of the stage I was literally staring up at him! I tried to take video, but too much shaking. Sorry, I seem to have the Danny Gokey disorder, when he gets close to me I just start shaking – LOL!!
Now I was plotting my strategy to get the heart pillow up there. I was close, but didn’t want the pillow to fall short of the front of the stage. There were also security guards and tour stage hands very close. So, I waited until Maria, Maria was over (in the meantime the lady with a 2 year-old right in front of me) left, so I jumped into the front row with I<3 pillow in hand that says “I love you”. What else would the designated representative for the I<3 fans throw but a heart pillow (btw, got it on amazon for anyone that wants it)! This is the same heart pillow Wolfgang was sitting on in Mandy’s video – LOL!
O.K, now I am in the front row, right smack in center stage and he starts and I know he’s getting ready for WHTM (my personal favorite). But I am so moved by his performance of WHTM, the timing is not right. He was very emotional during this song, he kept looking up toward the sky like he was talking to Sophia and he was tearing up and I was tearing up – it was the most moving and emotional performance that I have ever seen.
O.K. Time is running out and he starts the words of wisdom speech. As soon as the lights go out, I get ready and WINNNGGGG – I throw the pillow and it lands on the stage to the side of him as he is singing “My Wish” and he doesn’t see it right away. I am thinking oh, no he doesn’t see it. Then, he sees it and kind of squints his eyes to get a look at what it says on it. Then he ignores it – LOL! He doesn’t know what to do. He grabs the pillow and say “BTW, Thank You”. Then he sets it back down on stage. Now I am wondering which song I threw it up there it was either WHTM or My Wish. It was all a blur.
He was truly amazing and I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to see him once, but twice!
