Step back to Top 10 of the season. I have never paid this much attention to this show.So much talent in this group. My favorite did emerged with this soulful,raspy,sweet-tone & powerful voice. Hello – heart meets soul connection. Even loved those dance moves. Just a raw natural talent. Yes, became a Gokegirl!  Trying to think of the “moment” – Oh, I don’t know each moment he sang.
Being a Dannyfan – I’ve experienced these “firsts’. This is my TOP 10
  1. Cast my first vote ever. (I’ve watched 4 of 8)
  2. Bribed my kid to help vote, mostly with food
  3. Sent a fan-mail or rather a sweet birthday card
  4. I follow twitter
  5. Read blogs – not sure this was a good thing
  6. Discovered Fanwars – too much said about people you don’t even know then add the personal projections placed on these singers – unreal
  7. To like a song I don’t care for, “Stand by me” change it up, one of my favorites
  8. Cried when voted off – it’s not like it happened to me yet felt like it
  9. Awaken the fangirl – never before taken interest in a performer
  10. Buying a future CD and I haven’t even heard it
Impressions of Tampa show  7/28/09
Didn’t watch any videos of idols(on purpose) except Danny, couldn’t help it.
Michael – Nice quality voice. I wish the band would let me hear him. I’m drawn to him, there is a joyful & kind spirit about him. Very charming and handsome man.
Megan – Maybe an acquired taste. The more I see her the more I like her, she is unique. AI does her injustice,she is not Jessica Simpson,Amy Winehouse, or a barbie doll. Let her be MEGAN.
Scott - He was wonderful, he does have a nice live voice. He is at home on the piano & plays very well.
Anoop – Super cool smooth vibe to him. Cuts a nice tall & lean figure on stage. At first impression, you think people are booing him, but his euthusiastic fans are calling his name.
Matt – This is a fun-loving guy. I thoroughly enjoyed his set. He just brought you along with his music. Nice spark to him, just made me smile.
Allison – A firecracker for sure. The girl can rock your socks off.(saying reflects my age) It’s true, she is beyond her years. As she grows will only get better.
Lil – Powerful voice  – works that stage. She is a strikingly gorgeous lady. Being a mom, she has that figure that you love to hate. I believe she has the whole package.
Adam – If you like over the top staged, explosive, bold, performance mixed with lots of sexual overtones, this is your man. He does his own thing whether you like it or not. People do react to him.(throwing bras, handcuffs, & whips) A commanding presence with the range of his voice that fills the arena.
Kris- I will admit it, there is a part I resented he won. Gotta say he did impress me. He is likeable enough.His voice is stronger than I thought, plays instruments well, actually has a little rocker in him. Do I think he should have won, probably not, I know get over it. But, on this night he was as deserving as any one else.
DANNY To us Dannyfans he is our American Idol always will be. It’s not just the voice with the pretty face. But appreciate the man who has shared some honest moments with the peeps. It’s not about perfection but a genuine person who connects with others on a caring level. This would explain people wanting the Danny hugs. We don’t know him but he is like us (just most of us can’t sing). Do I think he had the best voice on AI? actually I do think that. But, he has a God-given gift that will be used for a great purpose. I had my fangirly hat on this night. Just fun to breakaway from the routines of the day. I wish he had felt better. His sweet voice still filled the rafters(I was in nosebleed section). Sorry that the Florida sun did a little dance with your skin. Btw, you should have a dance partner on Maria Maria. I enjoyed all the songs with the glow-sticks, hand waving, and yes even some screams – I had plenty of company. All in good fun. Your fans care about you and want you to succeed. May God smile upon you – be gracious to you - give you peace. We are in this together, so let’s keep on dreaming.
Last thought: It was great fun to watch these young people pursue their dreams. My belief is everyone of them have the talent to find a place in this world.
