MJ: Shadow-Rider’s Sacramento American Idol Tour Re-cap
The room goes dark and Danny’s photo appears on the screen and everyone starts screaming. Danny appears and my section has now awakened and the old ladies are excited. He’s doing his thing. I didn’t like his performance of this song on the show but its better live. Not my favorite but he’s good. He’s got people on their feet dancing. Wait did the old lady next to me just give out a scream? She sure did. His next song is surprisingly good. He’s doing some dance moves. Well trying anyway. People are back in their seats for Rascal Flats. I thought he did well with this song but to me it sounds like he’s straining a bit. His last song was really good. He did a great job and was very entertaining. He looks different in person though. Not sure why. I had heard from others that he gives this long sermon and starts preaching during his set. For me it wasn’t preachy at all and only lasted a minute or two. He talked about his wife and why he chose to audition even though his wife had just died. He told people not to be defined by tragedy which was met with loud cheers. He finishes up his set and people start screaming and clapping which get louder and louder and then foot stomping. It stays dark for a few seconds then BOOM!

They all start boarding the buses. The girls bus backs out first and leaves. The boys bus starts to back up and Michael appears at the window in the back. Everyone starts screaming and he waves and blows kisses. The bus then pulls back up. Ooops. They were leaving without Danny. He was still signing autographs. He runs over to the door which opens and he proceeds to get on the bus and someone pushes him back and shuts the door. They start to back up again. Everyone starts laughing. Guess they are leaving Danny here with us. I don’t think the crowd minds. He walks back to the crowd and starts signing more autographs. People start cheering. Michael is again waving at the crowd who are waving back and cheering. The bus pulls back in again and this time they grab Danny. The bus begins to back up and Michael is still waving. That guy is definitely soaking up every bit of this experience. You have to love that. As the bus pulls away the crowd disappears almost in an instant.

haha and they all ride off into the sunset!! without Danny! because Danny has a few more autographs to sign gotta love the guy he is sooo in love with his fans and we are soooo in love with him=) and then they grab him and pull him into the bus too funny!!!

Oh that is soooooooooooooooo funny!! hahaha And how awesome is danny that once he was pushed out he just ran back over to the group and started signing more! he is amazing! 5 more days!

When he’s in Milwaukee, they can just leave him off that bus…I’ve got plenty of room at my place where he’d be MOST WELCOME!!
Wouldn’t that be cool if you came to the concert in Mil, Deb..I’d share Danny with you, I promise!

Danny!!: He opened with “PYT”!! Man! I couldn’t stop dancing and he got the crowd to sing back the “na na na na’s” in the chorus!! He looked incredibly fine, rockin’ his specs and a tight-fitting red shirt, a black jacket, a boss wallet chain, and some fierce combat boots!! Then the jacket came off for his “Maria Maria” number…his salsa moves were “muy caliente”!!! He followed with a heart-wrenching version of “What hurts the most” and then for his last number spoke to the audience…letting us know about how he lost Sophia , how much he loved her, and how no one should let tragedy and difficult trials stop them from achieving thier dreams!! We, the audience cheered loudly !!! The last song was called “My wish”! He was superb!!!
Yesterday Danny and the gang were in my hometown of Vancouver B.C. My friend Kim ( huge Matty G fan..) and I arrived at GM Place at about 3:15pm. There was a larger crowd on the left side of the entrance so we made our way to the right side, which had about 10 fans standing by the gates. We quickly lined up right in the front. About 20 minutes later Danny and Matt were the 1st ones to come out! We all yelled, and they made their way to the left side first, then came over to our side! Danny was so sweet, I had a gift for him, and gave it to him, he was surprised and thanked me. I got to give him a hug, get his autograph and got a great pic with him ( my avi) then Matty mad his way over…I hugged him too, got his autograph and took a a great pic of im and with him and my friend Kim! Anoop came out about 20 minutes after Danny and Matt had left! Got Noop’s autograph and a pic of him too! Then came Scotty, with his brother, he didn’t have time to sign autographs (they had to go and do press..) but I was able to get a quick pic of him waving to the crowd!!
AFTER the show, I got to see Adam ( a mob got to him 1st!) Allison, Megan, Michael and Lil! (I didn’t get their autographs..) I also got Kris’ autograph, Matt’s again, Scotty’s (and he told me I was the 1st person to call him Scotty on tour so far!!) and of course, our main man Danny! He was wearing a yellow shirt this time (earlier in the day he had on a leather jacket..) and he remembered me, thanked me for the gift ( a book..) and said he had already read the 1st chapeer! I told him I was representin’ the Gokey Gang and told him my name, Ebonne, my GGnumber:85 and my screen name (fightfan 24!) he told me to tell the rest of this incredible gang, that he loves us!! And a special shout-out from him to my friend Wormsy!! I had mentioned Wormsy when I 1st saw Danny and we spoke about her (and her fabulousness!) for a few minutes!! Danny is a sweet, kind and down to earth man, who really loves and appreciated us his fans!! I can’t wait for his album to drop, then a solo tour from him!!! It was a very memorable day…one I’ll be talking about for a VERY long time to come!! I hope everyone gets to meet him!!!

sorry ladies i didn’t get to chat with you much today,i didn’t wake up until 9:30 from my nap i was just so drained,i woke up with the worst headache,i’m still tired.another day with the yard sale hopefully it wont rain,anways i hope i chat with you ladies tomorrow.

Lizzie, Thank you for putting the time you went to wait to see Danny before the show and when the bus arrived. That is one thing I have not seen anywhere else, and I was wondering because I am going to see him/them in Salt Lake City Tuesday night. Very excited. I am one of the “old ladies” Shadow Rider wrote about who will be screaming for him at the shows. He just seems like such a NICE guy, and I love his voice!

Somehow, I am not surprised that the bus was leaving while Danny was still signing autographs… It is the reason we all love him – he is real, sincere, kind, appreciative of his fans, and soaking it in while he can.
Thanks for the recap Lizzy…Again I am not surprised. Danny is the real deal – can’t wait to see him for my own recap!!!

He really appreciates his fans. Just finish watching a video where a little girl gave him a drawing of him and Sofia. He gave that girl a big big hug. He’s really sweet. His fans at idolforums are saying that even the people at ONTD_AI are loving him now.
