I’m confused. Wasn’t it Danny who said that he hoped it would be before the tour but he didn’t say when? Who is posting that he met with Sony today? I so hope this works for him!!! I seriously can’t wait for the new album. I will gobble that right up!

Country can infuse other genres too which is good….a little soul, a little R&B and even a salsa flair. The little smiley face after his tweet about letting us know as soon as he is able, makes me feel a lot more positive about this than ever before!

Danny Gokey: “I’m excited to do the full version of Michael Jackson’s ‘P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)’ because I only got to do about a minute and 45 seconds on the show. I’m doing four songs. It starts with ‘P.Y.T.’ then I do a song with a Latin feel to it. The third song is a heartfelt ballad, and the last song is the inspirational song ‘My Wish’ by Rascal Flatts. I want to end my set inspiring people. The song talks about living life without regrets, enjoying it for what it is and not being held down by personal tragedies.”

Shirt not to worry if he goes country. It won’t be some strange twang and backwoods red neck sound. A lot of modern country is played on contemporary stations and it really works. He sang a couple of country songs during AI. Rascal Flats, the only thing country about them is the the station that plays them. The new country works.
You know guys I can not remember when I have been more excited about a release of an album. Waiting everyday for the announcement is torture!!! Danny has the talent and the personality to go places and he deserves it as much as the other guys!!! Soon Soooooonnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!I agree with Danny sooner is so much better than later!

I actually grew up listening to country music, so doesn’t bother me too much if danny goes that route – HOWEVER I’m only not bothered because he wants to do the MODERN country music that is out now – just like Rascal Flatts…which is GREAT! Country also allows people to get out a really good message and isn’t like constricted by a lot of other genres. You’re kind of free to sing about whatever. I just can’t see danny singing a bunch about seeing a girl in a club and wanting her, ya know? haha This could be really good for him – but we’ll just see exactly where this is going… but he said NO TWANG hahaha Just love the way he talks!
