I had always assumed that Sophia had passed during the surgery. Then Danny tweeted that July 9th will be a year when she passed. That means that she passed two weeks after the surgery. I was just curious.

VickieCarol Danny did talk about how his wife went into surgury and was in a kind of coma afterwards. So, it was a couple weeks before she passed. It must have been very difficult for him and it must be hard for him now, a year later. He has so many good things happening for him now, yet he has to be thinking of those difficult days just one year ago. My heart hurts for him and at the same time I am so happy for all he has accomplished in the last year.

Cheryl, I couldn’t stop crying when Danny talked about Sophia’s surgery and the few weeks after in which she never quite recovered. when he was in Milwaukee on DG Day. He stayed there with her as much as he could and probably just grabbed a quick nap in a chair somewhere. That must have been pure torture for him. That he couldn’t even find a way to cry at her funeral from still being in shock just brings tears to my eyes even today.

Thanks for clearing that up. I had not heard about the coma. I guess that is why Sophia’s cousin mentioned the date of the surgery.
It is hard to think of Danny in that much pain, Shirl, I know what you mean.

Do you think Danny has a lawyer with him when he negotiates? I would want one with me if I were doing something as important as a contract negotiation. Wish we could all go with him – we would get him a really good deal!!!!!!

Hi Nancy! I’ve seen all the items on cafepress! Just could never seem to make up my mind which one I want. I’m a bit shy when it comes to going out and about with somebody’s name on a teeshirt unless it’s a concert tee. My dh would have plenty of snarky comments to make, I know that!
