Danny had tweeted early this morning that he had just arrived in Milwaukee for an important meeting about Sophia’s Heart that he was very excited about.
I tweeted at him, telling him I was about to go on the air on 101QFL and would he like to give a shout-out to our listeners.
He direct messaged me with this:
“Please tell them i said Hi and thank you for all the support. Keep looking out because I will have news soon regarding my Album.”

I posted this under one of the other stories but here it is again. Lionel Richie said that Danny should have won. Listen to the whole thing because at first he says Adam should have won over Kris, then he says Danny should have been in the final and won!

Hooray! finally a real true legend acknowleging danny’s gift! maybe he may do a collaboration with danny;I heard danny mention on fox6now that he hopes him and Lionel Richie can do something together. I believe Lionel and Danny probably talked about some collaboration post the AI tour depending on what contract agreement takes place. They had wonderful chemistry together and I am sure danny doing some collaborations with Lionel will make Lionel more marketable here! lionel is really popular overseas, but here he is doing fine. The networking with Lionel will definitely help our baby Danny!

Maybe if Danny doesn’t sign with 19 he will at least have some people in the industry who believe in him and can connect him with a good producer. Lionel Richie is a legend. He was on Larry King and said that Danny was nervous and was worried he might forget the words or sing in the wrong place and Lionel told him he couldn’t go wrong with the song. Then he said Danny nailed it. I love that Danny is getting some positive feedback from someone so well respected in the industry. Go Danny!

I agree cheryl! I hope he has many options to choose from because 19e does not appreciate danny’s talent nor can they really gauge the magnitube of his attraction/audience. People are truly hungry for an artist like danny; they want true substance and heart and soul in the music. It is ok to have music for fun and excitement, but there are times when pepole are dealing with issues in their lives and they want music that truly speaks to the heart (especially in these tough times)

Yay! Lionel Richie complimented our lovely Danny Gokey! I have always enjoyed Lionel’s music. I especially liked the duet between him and Danny on “Just go”. We are all hoping and praying for danny to get a cohesive contract that is in alignment with his vision. I have strong faith that something will happen, when? I don’t know, but I cannot see a talent like his ( Danny’s) going by the wayside.

Thanks for the link to the Lionel Richie interview. I did send the link to MJ’s and Rickey’s but will be surprised if they post it. They seem to only want to post the negative things about Danny. Only reason I go to MJ’s is to read the latest news on the Idols from other seasons. Hey, Lionel Richie is a singer/songwriter and producer, maybe he and Danny will work together. Sure hope Danny’s album news comes out soon and which I knew what Danny meant by soon and if it is just information about his album or about a record deal.

We as danny supporters, are going to have to continue to be vigilante about our support for danny in order to counter some of the harsh distorted criticism of danny. I believe in some way we are going to have to become more visible to the naysayers, because as long as our voices are silence, they can continue to sell the myth that everyone hates danny and that he is too polarizing for this industry.

I feel the same way, Latrece. I don’t know how to make posts, just know how to leave comments. There are so many great stories about Danny – and if I knew how to get them out there, I would – to create some balance about Danny in the world outside this site where we can trust just about everyone’s motives.
It does no good to respond to the hate sites in defense of Danny. They just howl all the louder, cuz they feed on the attention. So much better to be PROACTIVE than REACTIVE. How can we do that? Amy? You have a great site here. Would you want to post more if we send you more great Danny news?
There was a great fox spot, for example, of the first recipients of a grant from Sophia’s Heart – a school that didn’t have the funds for a music program, but now they will buy violins and hire a violin teacher. It was a beautiful story, but I haven’t seen that featured anywhere on the internet. And there are many more.
I just have no know-how at all when it comes to the internet. It’s pretty lame of me that I don’t even know how to post pics on this site! I swear I’m gonna get some help with that and post soon!

well since the lurkers come onto to the fan sites and twitters, we need to make sure that we have evidence of danny’s positive influence in his endeavors and our enthusiasm of his music. WE need to provide concrete proof that danny is viable and has a massive audience to cater to. we have to continue to help his followers on twitter to grow. Call in to radio stations and express our anticipation for hearing danny in the future, and continue to hold public Fan get togethers and make sure radio stations here about it!

I love Danny but I can’t be scared of his future? so if i’m a Danny fan I can’y have any worries about his career I’m just wondering if anyone know if their are a lot of teenagers that like Danny sorry but I think I can still be a Danny fan and have some concerns over his career I know he’s going to be successful but I’m not sure how much? Dannyfan, I think you are missing the point if you think Danny is going to be the next Lady GaGa. His music attracts a different kind of audience. There are SO many different tastes and styles of music, if you look at the pop music scene, there are so many one-hit wonders out there. Do I think there are teens that like his music, of course there are. But I do not think that is the largest segment of his fan base.

I think danny’s success is going to be completely different than a lot of the popstars out there today. and i dont think it’s even his goal – he wants to touch people and help people, so there may be A LOT of his success that we may not even see, but people will just know in their hearts… and i think that is his goal… I dont think he’s concerned with getting all the grammys and other awards so much as reaching people’s hearts and for that i highly respect him.

first I want to say 2 things
first thing is I think he is going to be successful I he is going to be successful is changing people with music the other one that I was scared about was how many records he was going to sell but I realized that it won’t matter to him I will be happy if 5 million people buys his record or 5 people buy his record because whoever buys it will be touched by it and that what matters most to him(I would rather the 5 million though)
second thing is I’m sorry about the cougar comment my friend told me there was an article called cougars love Danny gokey but I just looked it up and saw that the real article is called cougars love Adam lambert so sorry if you were offended by that

Actually, if it came down to his success being between cougars and teen-agers–which it won’t, but if it did–the cougars would be a better bet. Cougars (actually, I kind of hate that term, but anyway) are better settled in life and would have more discretionary money. That means money to spend on things like CDs. They would probably also be more likely to actually buy a CD rather than just have someone burn it for them. They would also be much less fickle than a teen-ager. The things teen-agers are crazy about today, they’re going to be making fun of in five years.
Now, I don’t hate Adam Lambert, don’t get me wrong. But in five years, the way he looks and dresses now are going to look ridiculous. You think I’m wrong? Well, once upon a time, people thought the guy with the weird hair in A Flock of Seagulls actually looked cool. Now his hair is a joke.
There are some things that stand the test of time. Soulful, R-and B-flavored music is one of them. Those kinds of songs will sound as good twenty years from now as they do today and as they did thirty years ago. Other musical trends will come and go, and will sound terribly dated.
There are artist that I loved when I was in my 20s that I still love now that I’m “cougar” aged, and I will plunk down money to buy the music I love.
And I totally agree with Michelle. There are all kinds of people of all different ages and races that love Danny’s singing. He won’t have to depend on teen-agers to keep his career alive.

I believe danny’s music is going to be transformative; he will reach a wide broad audience from the USA to overseas, caucasians, African American, hispanic and etc. He has managed to attract over 53.000 followres within a month time without mega publicity ( just imagine if he had major publicity and promotion). He is going to hold is weight very well in this industry!

Karen– after Danny looked at the green bay packers last night, he is probably on his way back to LA for rehearsals. I believe he is being a little discreet regarding his where abouts because the Paparazzi may follow him! I think he wants to maintain some portion of his limited privacy, so we probably are not going to hear a lot about his movements. I know I am yearning badly for dannny too!

Danny’s musical style is between Elliott Yamin and Micheal Buble ( both soulful and Jazzy). His voice is incredible in combination with his capacity to project is soul and spirit with his singing. I strongly believe that when he puts out his music, he is going to pour his heart and soul into his music!

Our sweet danny is living his life out LOUD!; he has gone thru so such within the last year, so he is going to take full advantage of this time and moment and he will not allow the haters to have the power nor victory in his world! he is fully owning this moment in time. It is quite obvious the haters are threaten by him ( because why would they waste money and precious time trying to destroy him?).

One thing I am also reminded of- Do you remember when Danny said in an interview after the show was over..He said he was NOT in it for the money!!! Not at all..He did not care about that the most important thing was to bring hope he said and change lives and SHF.. well he is doing these things in a BIG WAY!! even stumping TMZ!!! Love it! So when he said that I am sure he thought oh oh what did I do? I did not mean to say that!! He is impulsive and just answered it was funny then the haters tried to get a hold of it and make it something bad…then Danny comes back with it was funny!!! reminds me of the scream they all wanted to tear him a apart because of that but he laughed all night about it! and so did we It was really funny! Danny you are the humorous one in that bunch I dont care what they say you are funny!! and you make so many people laugh!!! because we just dont see it coming!!!Yes vc he makes me smile and smile and smile=) ohh is he a clever guy! Well I believe the idols stay amongst themselves, they don’t want to be mobbed alone. I dream about him almost every night..LOL. Maybe he’s at church today. Anoop and Matt said they had a fitting today for the tour, so maybe Danny is there. Hopefully they,ll tweet som pics from the fitting. We might get lucky and see some pics of Danny sans clothes

I just finished watching all of Danny’s performances. I can’t believe that he looks better and better to me everytime I see him. I can’t get enough of looking at that man! If you look up the word perfect in the dictionary his face would be there. As a matter of fact if you looked up the words hot, sexy, manly, delicious, yummy and mesmerizing his picture would be there too!

Karen– Yes I happen to work in the area of mental health; yes we are boarding the door of fixation! but the good news is, we are able to sense fantasy from reality. You didn’t hear him tell you he was going to marry you did you? if we stay in reality, hopefully we should be fine ( if we believe he has fallen in love with us)tipped the scale of insanity. I believe we are a group of vivacious,frisky, lively women who are truly enjoying this moment!

that.. Then I look at them again and they look better.. Does

I’d like to apologize for all my eailer posts I probably sounded like a Danny hater but I just realized that the teen thing was such a stupid comment cause I was just listening to Michael buble and all of my worries about his career are gone cause I realized the type of music Danny sings is timeless I mean Kris allen is more folk music and while Jason marz may have brought that back but for how many years? 3? s at the most and for Adam he said he wants to do pop so I don’t realli know how long his type of music is going to be in but Danny’s music is like Michael buble’s timeless and I don’t think his music depends on teens Danny is defentily be fine and I’m very sorry about the stupidity of my last comments

Yeah I’m next to LA and I’m trying to find out what hotel that is the exact location in LA that they were in… My sister and a lot of my friends hang in LA a lot so I might be able to figure out where they’re staying at… only 31 days till I see Danny! woo hoo!

Yay! our heart throb tweeted! he is singing “MY WISH” by rascall flatts on tour. I am so happy someone made his day by tweeting him such beautiful video and sung tribute to danny, he definitely deserves it! I am just happy that he is doing fine, and at peace in heart.

Hello Dannyfan,
I am 14 and am a big fan of Danny’s. My younger sister is too.
We are looking forward to seeing him in person when the tour comes here. My aunt Ethel and my uncle Stanley are going to take us, as they are big fans also. Uncle Stanley says that he wishes the tour were over, as he would invite Alison and Danny to be at my cousin’s Bar Mitzvah. Mom would go, but she has to stay home with my little brother who is too young. Does this answer your question.

I am so excited for Danny Gokey! I just hope and pray that the world doesnt change who he is! Theres been rumors going around that he’s getting caught up in the world and not really looking towards his beliefs. However, thats why i think its called rumors. I don’t believe it of course and i just pray that Danny sticks to his beliefs and faith and that he set a good example for the world. Our world needs it at this point, and there are very few ppl like Danny in the music industry. I’m so anxious for his first album to come out and how he’s going to impress his fans! Danny is such a gifted person. You could put him on a rock stage or in an arena filled jazz fans and he’d entertain with no problem.
