Danny confirms in his latest Bubble Tweet that @dannygokey is the real deal. He talks about the tour and says he wants to use Twitter in each of the tour cities to help communicate to fans where they can do the meet and greets and take pictures and hug. Deal!

QUESTION: Sharing Tour Experiences

I’m trying to figure out how we can all best share our experiences/video/pictures from the tour. I could do it one of two ways…I can go ahead and create blog postings for each city and then create a listing of all of them where we can comment on them like we have been doing.
OR
We can utilize the forum and create a topic for each city. I could also have a listing of these as well.
The forum is good b/c pictures can be embedded and more people are familiar with forums. BUT we all seem to be doing well with the blog postings and everything would be in one place.
What do you think?

Danny Gokey’s Record Deal Coming Soon?

Fans are all speculating about the meaning of Danny’s latest tweets. Is an announcement about his record deal coming soon? And will it be Country?
Last night he twittered:
Alright….I put that “funk” in check! Now I gotta start packing. Im leaving 2 Nashville 2morrow 4 IMPORTANT meetings. I’ll keep u posted
Fans were speculating it either had to do with Sophia’s Heart or his record deal. He had said in a Fox Interview that he was in talks with Sony Nashville but previous Nashville visits involved Sophia’s Heart Foundation. Then today he seemed to clear up which it was:
@DannyGokey Just arrived in Nashville!!! Have 2 meetings tomorrow…..and by the way….they have nothing to do with Sophia’s Heart Foundation! =)
Danny’s fans everywhere are crossing their fingers that we finally get the announcement! Good luck, Danny. Lots of prayers out for you!
Danny Gokey Interview with WBGL: 3 Country Songs

I wasn’t able to hear all of Danny’s interview on WBGL this morning. Something was wrong with the broadcast. They did say they would run it again on Thursday morning. I did hear Danny talk about what kind of record he would like to make. He said R&B with a latin fusion. But, he also said he would be open to a modern country soul, with no twang. He also said he was singing 3 country songs on tour, but with no twang. I know he is singing What Hurts The Most and My Wish, but I’m not sure what other country song he is singing. Maybe, Jesus Take The Wheel?
He also said that he doesn’t have a contract yet, but there is work going on behind the scenes and that he was talking to record companies. I was hoping he would say he was close to getting a deal, but he didn’t give a timeline.
I liked his response to a question about how much he was able to talk about his faith while on the show. He said he had discussions with Adam and they agreed to disagree and that it was interesting to talk to Adam about it. He said he never shoves religion in anyone’s face and he thinks he shows his faith more in deeds rather than words. He said there are some Christians who wanted him to go on the show and talk about Jesus, Jesus, Jesus – but he did not do that. His actions spoke for him. That’s about all I heard, so I am looking forward to hearing the whole interview on Thursday.
Danny Gokey: 2 Old and 2 New Songs
Well, we have 1 of each so far. We know he is singing My Wish which is new and P.Y.T.
Danny Gokey won’t reveal which songs he chose, only that two are from the show and two are “nude songs,” he says with a slip of the tongue, no doubt triggered by exhaustion.

Danny Gokey to Sing P.Y.T. on Tour
Michael Sarver barely made the Top 10 – he finished tenth, in fact – and so of all the Idols working around the room he almost seemed the most grateful to be there.
“Before we go on, I plan to go to the farthest seat from the stage, to get a sense of what it’s like,” says Sarver, who worked as a roughneck in a Texas oil field before making it on the show. “Because I think we need to see what that’s like, and make sure they have a good show. I really do.”
He is, though, a little nervous about his role as the first Idol to go on stage (they typically sing in reverse order of finish, saving Allen for last), especially the possibility that he might forget what city he’s in and blurt out the wrong name.
“I’m going to try real hard not to say the wrong city, but to God’s honest truth, I have thought about it a lot,” he says, laughing.
His partner for the day, Danny Gokey, a church music director from Wisconsin, at one point seemed like a likely candidate for the finals, before Allen passed him by, leaving Gokey to finish third.
Besides his strong voice, Gokey had a compelling personal story: his wife had died not long before he auditioned, and he wasn’t shy about sharing that story over the course of the season.
“I wouldn’t have changed it for anything,” Gokey says of his decision to be so open about his loss. “Because it brought me hope to talk about it.
“It contributed to my faith in God,” he says. “Because only he could take a bad situation and make it good. And I constantly hear messages from people about how they found hope or a reason to live again.
“I’m glad I was able to rise up and not be defined by the situation, but to use it to define myself.”
What they’ll sing: Gokey says he’ll do the late Michael Jackson’s “PYT,” while Sarver kept his songs secret, though he did say they’re numbers he didn’t do on the show.
