I HOPE MS WILL BE NICE.. DANNY WILL HANDLE HIM FOR SURE.
As nasty as Slezak has been to him, Danny should really just tell him to stick it where the sun don’t ever shine. But we all know Danny is just much to nice to do that. I just hope Slezak treats him with the respect he deserves.
I have to say from what I’ve seen Slezak has been very nice to contestants face to face. I think I’d be more interested to see what Kristen would do face to face with Danny.
I think it’ll be a run-of-the-mill interview.
I cancelled my subscription to Entertainment Weekly because of their coverage of Danny. It will be interesting to see if Slezak is courteous to Danny. I’m guessing he will be, because he won’t be able to say the ugly things he said about Danny to his face. What Slezak does is similar to what people do when they talk behind someone’s back and then when they see the person they are nice to them. But, you never know, maybe Slezak truly is just an ugly person and he will treat Danny with the disrespect he has since the beginning of AI.
I’m willing to give Slezak the benefit of the doubt and in fact I just may forgive him for his comments in the past if he’s nice to our Danny

Cheryl, I came “thisclose” to cancelling my subscription to EW too! But was too afraid to do so for fear they’d do something on Danny and I’d miss it!!!!
Trish, I don’t know where to start explaining Michael Slezak! He and his team cover EW Online and cover everything having to do with AI: interviews, show recaps, etc. He and his team poke fun which is okay….but every year they seem to pick someone out of the idols and just pick on them relentlessly, saying really terrible things, mocking their every move. This year they chose Danny as their target. Every move he made, every thing he said, they were all over him. I sent Slezak a pretty nasty email telling him what I thought of him and I let him have it good. He’s just a skinny little weazley guy, a real twerp. In my email I called him pond scum. I don’t usually lose my cool but you pick on Danny, you got me to deal with! LOL!
oh wow…ok , that’s so not cool. Well we all know Danny is amazing, and when people are insecure about themselves then all they are successful at is picking at others! Danny will be aliright…let the haters hate!

Shirl: You have a point about potentially missing a story (or pictures) in EW. I guess I’ll have to stand out at the newstand and skim the magazine every week to see if Danny’s in there!

No, Karen, never got a reply from him. I didn’t really expect one. I bet he never even read it and I bet he gets tons of hate mail and just shrugs it off. That’s how he is.
I didn’t like it, but I could except the Danny bashing from some of the AI fans because they disliked when he performed really well, got praise from the judges, and their favorite wasn’t as favored. What really got me was how hateful and mean the media was to him. He didn’t deserve it. Also, I quit reading *ALL* of the “replies” from people on various internet sites that responded to commentary on links I got from my Google alerts. It got ugly.
Just yesterday, under a link to someone’s blog about Danny’s appearing on Regis & Kelly, someone posted “What hurts the most is hearing Danny sing What Hurts the Most”. I thought that was awful! I followed with my own comment in response and believe me, I used words you won’t hear at any Sunday school picnic.
Only thing that bothers me about Michael is that, he sucks up to the contestants that he harshly bashed and expects them not to say anything or get offended by what he says? That’s why I LOVED Matt Giraud’s interview with him, he was AWESOME!!! XD
I think Danny can handle himself pretty much, he seems like the type that doesn’t care what others think.

Danny is so cute on twitter. Has no filter on what he says. I’m sure Danny will handle Sleaze-ak with grace and courtesy like he always do. He’s just a good man..

Did this interview ever happen? Anybody know? Danny flew back home to Milwaukee already. I thought Slezak was stationed in L.A. not NYC.
I have a feeling Slezak is gonna fall in love with Danny when he gets up close and personal with him. I swear, you’d have to be a piece of driftwood to not feel something great around Danny – there is just something so innocent and genuine about Danny that is irresistible! It’s Kristen who is a Class A Be-hatch and proud of it. She slapped Slezak when he said he thought Danny wasn’t as bad as he had first thought. All the bloggers thought that was hilarious, of course. But Danny’s sweetness might just disarm her, too….Hope so, anyway.
BOTH MICHEAL AND KRISTEN NEED TO TAKE A FLYING LEAP.. WHAT’S THEIR PROBLEM?? I THINK DANNY GOT SOME GOOD VIBS FROM ALL THE INTERVIEWS HE DID.. ALL THE WOMEN LOVED HIM!!! I WONDER WHY BECAUSE HE’S SO HOT!!!

Michael seemed really nice to Danny and they were having a serious conversation～
about the song choice、the back stories and his future plan～
and i think that Danny had grown as a celebrity; he was able to handle all kinds of questions.
But i had a mixture feeling about this ’cause i kinda feeling that he put his guard up again……
maybe i was wrong…
The one who is REALLY horrible is Rickey (he has an idol blog) He’s a MAJOR hater who actually called Danny a “douche” (what an ugly word, but consider the source).
MJ at MJS bigblog is right up there, too.
I don’t really know where these people come off judging someone they don’t even know, someone they only see in clips that are edited by producers!
Both Rickey and MJ spew a lot of hate.
Joanna: Thank you SO MUCH for the link to the interview! At my first viewing (just got done watching for the first time), I didn’t get the feeling Danny had put up his guard or was in any way uncomfortable, given the fact that he had to have known all the crap laid on him in the past from Slezak and Kristen. And since it was an on-the-spot interview with no time to prepare ahead of time for answers to questions, I thought Danny handled himself extremely well, was very articulate and able to get his point across in saying what he wanted to say, very easily. I applaud Danny for doing such a great job in handling Sleaze….ooops, I mean Slezak. I love how comfortable he is in front of the camera and he’s really come such a long way in having to sit on the hot seat and face the media (and fans) and just explain who he is and what his goals are, so easily. You know immediately that he is the real deal, he’s genuine, and focused.
As for Slezak….where in the world did he ever dig up those retro-60′s plaid golf pants! Look up his name in the dictionary and read descriptions like nerd…geek…
Ok…bottom line is I thought Danny was wonderful….and as Karen would say….HE LOOKED SO HOT! He truly did too!!!!
As for the comments on the page, it’s the same old same old. Many people giving Danny the credit he deserves and showing their support and love. But just as many really cruel and hateful comments from the haters and bashers. It’s really sad but then I consider the source of some of these idiots, and they are really the ones who are sad excuses for humanity.
I agree with Shirl. I think it was hard to go into that situation when you know how they feel about you and stay calm and get your points across. I think he did a great job of doing that. You wonder why you agree to do these things in the first place.
