Danny Gokey Performs on American Idol Finale
For those that didn’t see the tweet, I won tickets to a private meet and greet with Season 6 contestant Phil Stacey. We had dinner, Q&A and we watched the finale together with a group of about 30. It was awesome! But I say all that to say I wasn’t able to get screencaps for you from the finale. But I was able to see the finale and Danny was AMAZING in all his parts and especially with Lionel Richie!

It was really cool and Danny sang so good and danced good to
Loved the shuffle he did with his feet awwww he looked so happy.
And congrats to Kris he really is a humble guy you can see that he did not even know what to say..I dont think he ever thought he would win this show..This has been the craziest season ever in my opinion.

Danny’s wearing black pants backstage but by the time he’s on stage, he’s wearing jeans. Waist up remained the same. Wonder what happened?

I was quite happy with the jeans selection.
Danny did an amazing job tonight. His performance was the highlight of the night for me with Kris’ duet with Keith Urban a close second. I wonder if reality has hit Kris yet?

Yeah Krises life is about to change forever…He needs our prayers now like Carrie Underwood said today you have no idea the pressure now that you are in this position.. hopefully he will be able to keep his wife close to his side too. But Dannys life has changed forever too did you see the girls screaming in the background for him? He is uber popular too. Loved all the songs he did tonight. It was so cool to see his smile. He lights up the world with that smile

His twitter says its about to get CRUNK in there wonder what that means??? Does it mean crazy in here? This was probably right after the winner was announced and they were going to the red carpet for interviews..

oh my gosh! danny was just soooo awesome tonight! I think that’s one of the best songs i’ve ever heard him sing! probably because he was really relaxed and not in the competition anymore. just love that guy!

The whole thing was just amazing!!!! What a finale, I’m so happy Kris won, I still wish it had been Danny, but Danny will have an amazing career, his future is looking really bright!

Amy, thanks so much for the video of Danny and Lionel Richie! What treasure, and probably the last time we’ll see Danny perform for awhile. Loved the way he sang “Hello”. Wish he could have done that in the competition so I could get the studio version.
Seeing him perform that just brought tears to my eyes last night and just NOW. But that always happens whenever I watch Danny sing a ballad………….

What a shame it’s no longer there! As soon as I saw it this morning, I quickly went to youtube and downloaded it. Not the best quality, but it’s better than nothing.
Fox has now taken it upon themselves to remove almost all AI videos that have been posted to youtube. I waited too long and missed out on my favorite performance of his, singing “Come Rain or Come Shine”. You gotta get there and grab ‘em early or you’ll miss out. Never used to be this way but the problem is they want you to PAY for them now, so they used their copyright laws option
