i say kris! i lovee danny and yes he should of been on stage! i was waiting for the moment they show danny on screen tonight! right when they did i was soooo happy =)
I am not voting for either tonight. That coronation song was one of the most painful things I have heard in a long time! However, I think Danny would have taken it and ripped it to shreds. He could have riffed his way through it.
I don’t know if I can sit through an Adam Lambert winners performance at the tour.

Danny would have killed that song No boundaires..I still do not see Kris as being that good of a singer….Sorry. I think he was straining alot to hit notes on that song and went flat alot.
His neck muscles were very tense that is how you can tell. and honestly I am worried for his voice the way he sang that was not correct. I like Kris its just that Adam has a way better singing voice and of course I think Danny has the best!!!!
i cant vote anyways not in usa but i only watched this ep waiting for danny to come on xD they were so borring though.. i think. like with the last song they sang i could see danny singing that and bringing it to the next level. yeah deb exactly. he would of made that song amazingggg!

DANNY!!!!!! God, I only watched to see him and I felt so heartbroken seeing him sitting in the audience when he should have had his rightful place on the stage. He would have NAILED Adam’s second song (which I thought was really suckky and OTT as usual) and I’m sure he would have made Kara’s hideous “song” or whatever that was at least pleasurable to listen to. I kept thinking that the judges might say, “Well, we didn’t really like that song from either of you, how about just for fun asking Danny to try it out” and then Danny would jump up on stage, grab the mike and GRAB AMERICA’s Hearts as he always did!!!! I LOVE DANNY!
I’m totally biased, it’s true, but it’s also true that Danny is the only voice in the top 3 that I love to listen to. It’s strong and textured and smoky and sexy…like Danny. I’m so bummed, but I agree that he is on to bigger and better things.
I heard tomorrow night he’ll be singing a duet with Lionel Ritchie. Hope that’s not just a rumor! And of course, he’ll be in the group songs, so we’ll get a great taste of Danny tomorrrow.

That was the MOST boring Idol finale of all time. The screecher kept on screeching and the nice boy was still nice, but that’s about it. I couldn’t bring myself to cast even one vote. Whatever happens happens…America got it wrong no matter who wins.

I really do not care who wins although voice and performance wise Adam deserves the crown. But at this point they are both winners and they both get a car!!! I wanted Danny to get one sooooo bad. But he probably will make enough money to buy his own now!=) and other things he has always wanted..

I just wish Paula would have picked something more current. He did do good with dance little sister but nobody knew it. I really believe if she had Danny would have been up there tonight. Alot of the young girls knew heartless but nobody knew dance little sister..
Anyway your right he will have an amazing CD. But AI to me was a joke this year I am sorry but I dont think America got it right or if the show was rigged the judges got it right..and Simon might realize that now, There was a reason Danny was always a front runner its because he was VERY GOOD!
And brought us fun exciting and emotional performances EVERY week. Its fun to come here and share all our thoughts we all love Danny so much..

Seeing Danny even for just a nanosecond made the show tonight somewhat tolerable. Really, I just don’t know what the judges hear when they laud Adam for his caterwauling and fake emotion. They have never had a negative comment for him, except for Randy saying he was too broadway. I had to laugh in the second song when he pressed his knees together like a schoolgirl and slapped his hand on his thighs..tres gay, I mean, no offense, I have gay friends, but that moment just made me laugh. I could never listen to him sing cuz my ears hurt. Kris was disappointing, but I was never really into him. From DAy ONE it was MR. DANIEL J GOKEY, the one and the only truly amazing Danny Gokey. Still grieving over him. Play his itunes over and over and over, but really hope his cd will come out soon so that people can see the atrocious mistake they made by voting for others….
Well, Danny is still gonna do great. He’s definitely done greater things than American Idol already just by mentoring dropout kids and starting his amazing foundation in honor of his wife for disadvantaged kids and their families. How many idols have done anything that compares with that? Danny is in a league of his own and I’m so incredibly and forever proud of him! I love YOU, DANNY!
when kris sang heartless. i like the original but i dont like.. kris’ version.. too…slow and a bit boring..[thats what i think..]
yeah america didnt get it right! yeah i was a joke. but with kara coming in too that changed to much. like jamar would have made it farther and should of.. but hes doing great so it worked out for him in the long run.
the one thing i really hated about tonight though.. like kris comes out and kara was like oh so soulfull [or w/e she said] and oh you connect with the audience and everything and im like screaming at the tv WTHECK!! danny did that everyweek and you barely said anything like that to him!! wow when kris comes out with a boring performace then kara clams he connected with us and everything.. that just pissed meh off. like wow.. danny is so much better then all of them put together and so much more heartfelt i lovee it.. i know hes gunna do amazing in the long run! but they shouldnt saw that.. like shouldnt saw stuff that they try to do that another contestant has already done then the copyer get the credit..w/e thats life i guess. [sorry thought i would share that..]

After voting my fingers off last week, I didn’t bother to vote this time. When Danny left, I also left. Only reason I watched tonight was to see if Danny was in the audience, and it was a real treat to see him….although I agree with you guys that he belonged up on that stage.
I think Adam will win but it’s gonna be close. I hope Adam does win because I think he has a better all-round voice and can sing any genre of song. Kris is okay…just kinda boring.
katrina!!! I was thinking the exact same thing..So soulful give me a BREAK!!!!! I wanted to throw my tv set too! I dont like Kara she is way too opininated and many times is WRONG about what she says!! You sing like were in your living room..with you!! wow! So what! so do a million other coffee house singers..If he does win I personally do not feel he deserves the crown but whatever..And Randy or Kara or Paula or even Simon NEVER once said all season he was a really good singer it was all about how he could change a song..Its not hard you play some strums you know and you add words my son is very good at that and I know alot of people who can do that..Wait till next season you will have tons of average coffee house singers applying for American Idol because its not about range of your voice and performance its about if you can play guitar and have a decent voice and mediocre performing skills on stage..Like did you ever see Kris dance? no. He never really did anything different Danny did he did the SCREAM!!it was because he said he wanted to challenge himself and go outside the box!! Say what you want but Danny is a risk taker and he is not afraid to try new things..Go Gokey!
Did you see Paula crying after Kris or Adam sang?? Like she did last week when Danny sang his swan song? Talk about connecting with the audience!!!! Danny really knows how to connect with us=) The way he looks in the camera too have you seen that it is sooo sexy and just wow! Not everyone can do that but he sure can…Remember endless love when he looked right at us as he was singing? That performance was so beautiful but really I loved them all!!!!! He just brought so many different things to us..

Glad they got a shot of Danny in the audience, it must have been on a big screen in there because i heard everybody screaming when they showed him. What a shame, it should have been him up there! But he will have a brilliant career ahead of him and I’m excited for him!
Tara – you are exactly right! We even had to rewind that to make sure! ha ha but people were TOTALLY cheering when they showed him! The producers or whoever were totally right in having him sit on the end seat! And he definitely looked really relaxed and stress free and I’m really happy for him!
And Shirl – I’m with you – I’m only watching tonight to see if they show Danny… that’s it… And I also think this is seriously one of the most, if not THE MOST, BORNG BORING BORING finales of all time. No offense to the 2 guys, but… whatever tonight.
DANNY could have TOTALLY killed on the No Boundaries song… I’m just now hearing Adam singing it… oh my gosh it’s horrible!!!!!!
I think Adam has a great range and Kris is really laid back and cool… but between the 2, I want the underdog to win… and that would be KRIS!

They really sang their heart out to win!!! last year. And tonight it was like oh whatever..they really did not come out to win or fighting at all. I dont think they really cared. they both know they get contracts anyway..Its just sad American Idol has lost that excitement. That is why again Danny and Adam would have been a real CONTEST!!!
OMG!!!! dial idol is predicting that Adam Lambert will win so is votenumber1 and zabasearch! ok I know most people here are Danny fans over Adam so am I but Adam was my second favorite so this is a bitter sweet victory I’m not worried at all I think all of the top 4 will become huge superstars!
(also this will be the first time a open homosexual will win American idol that makes me happy to its a great step towards tolerance for all!)
I am not in USA so i can’t vote, i didn’t watch the show tonight as i was disappointed with the result last week. But i’m happy that danny was their in the audience. I just really had hope he was not voted off last week. sometimes, i don’t even know what people really want in music since the person who deserves to be winning was not there to take his place. I am sure that when Danny will have his album it will be a success, so if Danny will read this… KEEP IT UP! MILLIONS OF PEOPLE BELIEVE IN YOUR SUCCESS. I am bummed still. I did watch last night with a broken heart. Danny should have been on stage. Adam hurts my ears when he sings, Kris is Okay but he is not Danny. I will watch tonight only to see and hear Dan sing and dance. I do admire him so for being so gracious. Bet I cry again.

danny got voted off because his not destined to be there he might be a lot bigger. sometimes the truth hurts but i got bored with danny weeks before it. i always vote for him without looking his competitor especially adam.
i never vote any of the two but watch it and made me realize that i saw a star factor on adam and performance wise. i will never be an adam fan but i also like the fact that his gesture of taking time to thank his backups. hope adam will win and clean his previous act not to do it again.i miss danny.
Agree with @Deb Hanson, it was the most BORING Finale I’ve ever watched, I didn’t even watch it, just turn on the TV and I chatted on YM with friends.
I feel that this is not a SINGING contest because we know can SING and he’a true singer!! but it’s more like popular contest. The fact that many Danny fans gather the vote to choose Kris for me is also supporting this wrong impression of the contest. Any Danny fans should stick with Danny and his bright future career and not move any vote for Kris only to not have Adam to win.
But well, we all know who’s the winner now….
Doesn’t really matter anymore to me…
