Danny Gokey Top 8 iPhone Exclusive Video

This week’s video theme is “Danny reflects on his Idol audition”.  Again, he thanks everyone for the votes.   He says he made a 10 hours drive to Kansas City to tryout for American Idol.  Going in front of the judges was the most nervewracking things ever.  He was put in line with 3 other people to see them and he could hear the people being judged.  There was one guy before him that got ripped up and he didn’t want to face them after that.  He says some people might want to know why he tried out last year as opposed to earlier.  He always thought, yeah, it’d be cool to be on but he never had a made up mind about doing it.  He watched the first and seventh season.  He made up his mind the February of David Cook’s season in 2008.  His wife was completely behind him.  It was also the last year he could try out because of his age.  He plugs that his birthday is April 24th .  It was a long dream that she always had.   He thanks everyone again and says he hopes to continue to bring it.
